Chapter 130: How interesting
Excerpt from the book “Dimensions” By Seng
Chapter17: Dimensional doors and the Danger
Many believe only a handful of dimensions exist; I call these people fools. The dimension warpers prove it is capable of making pocket dimensions; why not on a larger scale? Simple spatial magic is sufficient to create small planes, portals to places like the Nether and see through the threads of reality.
I call this irrefutable proof that the world is more expansive than we could possibly believe. I shall not fool myself into being smallminded, and I shall advise my readers to do the same.
After the bond, Jengal quickly left. “I want to be with Rex alone,” He said. Shrugging, we bid him goodbye for the evening. It was getting late after all.
Once Jengal had left, I couldn’t say anything against Cassie dragging me to the Tardis. I muse while we walk to it how strange it is these books exist. Time Lord literature, how intriguing.
Cassie marches us through the Tardis doors. “As I said, why not just come on your own?”
“Risk of being lost in time and space!”
“Don’t touch the console,” I say in exhaustion.
“I don’t care.”
“Worst case, you could just kill yourself. You have a clone at home.”
“I am not doing that!” She shouts, scowling.
“Okay,” I say in defeat. Guess I am doing magic experimentation tomorrow.
We both settle into a comfortable seat to read. A large red velvet sofa came with the library, and I must say it is of exceptional quality.
She picks up the book she was reading earlier; it was on a spruce table next to the sofa. I just take a moment to appreciate the library. A 2-floor room stacked corner to corner with shelving; all completely full of books. Honestly, it is a paradise, although exhausting from its sheer size.
Looking over, Cassie is reading Hand of Omega, fact, and fiction. I peruse lightly, grabbing a random book detailing the geography of habitable planets. Ideal seed planets, I chose.
I don’t know when, but I fell asleep. Oblivion has taken me to its sweet embrace, dreaming of red candyfloss and a blue moon.
I woke up to being shaken violently. “Wake up!” I hear through my dreams. “Wave up, Aeternum!” The sense of urgency in the voice hastened the process of waking up. Opening my groggy eyes, I see Cassie with a panic-riddled face. “The Tardis is moving!” she shouts.
It then clicks, “what? How? Why?” A mountain of questions quickly forming; listening, I hear the Tardis hum. It is flying, and by the sound of it, very quickly.
Shooting up, I look around; “Cassie, what happened?”
“I… I don’t know, it just started shaking and then started flying!?”
Getting up, I jog towards the console. The screens holding the coordinates and target are scrambled. Numbers going up and down at a rapid speed; “what the hell?”
Focusing on the telepathic circuit, I feel a bombardment of information. Putting the mess of information together, I get a few words. “Temporal anomaly detected! Emergency travel initiated! Threat averted! Stabilizing! Stabilizing failed! Diagnosing! “Temporal gyroscope damage!” And moments later, another string of information comes through. “Emergency landing initiated!”

“Cassie, get down!” I shout not a moment too soon. The entire Tardis violently shakes as it impacts some kind of ground. Looking over, I see Cassie on the floor, holding her head. I quickly rush to her, seeing her head reddened from an impact. I quickly throw a splash potion of health at her. Her frown softens as her health regenerates.
The Tardis seems to have stopped for now. “Cassie, you okay.”
Like a true soldier, she speaks. “I will be fine, what the nether happened?”
“It seems something hit the Tardis; it went into emergency escape mode.”
“And this is why I don’t come in here on my own!”
“Point proven,” I say, looking down. “Okay, let me see what is going on now.” Cassie nods in reply.
Heading back over to the telepathic circuit, I begin reading again. “Landing success! Accessing damage! Moderate! Estimating repair time! “17 hours and 32 minutes!” Well, at least it is fixing its self. I sure as hell don’t know how to fix a Tardis.
I send a question to the Tardis. “What caused the Temporal anomaly?”
“Daleks!”
“Lovely,” I say out loud.
Cassie heads over, “What is wrong?”
“A space-traveling species attacked the Tardis.”
“I didn’t think anything could attack your home.”
“I didn’t either.”
“So where are we?”
“Don’t know, let me check.” Walking over to the monitor, I initialize it.
The monitor blooms into life, revealing lots of green. Looking closer, I see lush green plains, strangly strait trees spotted across a green horizon; “where the hell are we?”
Cassie looks at the monitor closely. “I have never heard of a dimension with a green sky.”
“I don’t recall one either.”
The trees are a very light green, bark with shiny blue glimmering spots across its wood; “that looks familiar?”
Cassie turns to me, “you know where we are?”
“No, those trees look familiar. I can’t figure out why, though.” I say while stroking my chin.
“Strange.”
“Very.” I lightly grab Cassie’s shoulder, “don’t worry. Tardis will be fixed in under a day; we can then go home.”
“Okay.”
“Well, you now have plenty of time to read,” I say with a wide smile.
She just hits my shoulder before heading to the library.
Slowly, I pan the camera around. I was half tempted to leave the Tardis and have a look around until I spot something. A grey blob slowly increases in size; 2 more add to it as I see 3 elephants approach the Tardis.
Looking closer, I see shapes on the beast's spines. Large brown saddles along their backs; on top green figures rest atop. They slowly come into clarity; bipedal creatures in green clothes, tall and lean, and pointy ears – Elves. I never expected this; I don’t recall a mod wi… “Botana!” Elven wood, a green sky, and the elves. It all comes together, but I thought worlds were divided.
And then it clicks, the Tardis can travel through all space and time. I will be damned; I can’t visit the elves. And if I recall, this place has some time-dilation issues.

Sat day-dreaming, I snap out of it realizing they have already reached the Tardis. Slowly, the figures descend. Approaching with caution, spears, and wands in hand, they get closer bit by bit.
The largest of the group, a man with a strong jawline, approaches first. Activating some kind of green shield that shimmers over his body like a gel, he then lightly pokes the Tardis with his spear.
Having not gotten a reaction, he calms down. His shoulders drop an inch; turning around, he speaks with his companions. I can’t hear what he’s saying, no microphone on the cameras. Or, if a microphone does exist, I don’t know how to activate it.
I watch with extreme interest, having always wished to meet the fantasy race like many from Earth.
“Cassie, get over here!” I shout, eyes never leaving the screen. “Quickly!”
She groggily walks down the hallway, “what do you want?” she says in clear annoyance.
“Elves! There are Elves outside!”
“What is an elf?”
“Must be an earth-only thing. Long spindly humanoids with an affinity for nature and pointy ears; a bunch are outside right now.”
“What are they doing?”
“Currently inspecting the Tardis.”
“Isn't that… Bad?”
“Nah, they have no way to break in. Not even Daleks can break the hull,” I say in a smug smile. I made my helmet the only translucent armor on me. It helps with talking to people and gives them a false belief they can kill me.
“What is a Daleks?”
“You will figure it out if you keep reading those books.”
“I see… So what should we do?”
“Watch what happens; why waste a chance to learn risk-free.”
“You have fun with that; I am going to continue to read.” She says. I noticed her shoot a quick glance at the monitor before leaving.
Her loss, returning my gaze to the camera. Just to make sure I don’t get lost, if and when I leave the Tardis, let’s have some insurance.
I make a Waystone, an easy craft, all be it expensive. To go with it, I create some return scrolls, allowing me to return to it in a heartbeat.
Well… The upgraded version of return scrolls. Dimensional Return scrolls, so they work through dimensions. I have no idea if this will work, given the extreme nature of this dimension.
I also bookmark the crash location; so I both can get away and have a return point. I am not losing this dimension under any circumstances.
With my flimsy insurance complete, I return to the monitor. The Elves have spread out, circling the Tardis. I can see a few more grey blobs on the horizon. “What are they up to?” I can’t help but ask.
As the grey blobs approach, I see quite a few elephants. Orders are barked out; people get to work.
Ropes are swung around the Tardis as it is hoisted into a sturdy metal carriage. Elephants attached to the front, the Tardis is dragged to the origin point of the elephants. Slowly the cart moves bit by bit the horizon changes. Shapes appearing, browns, greens, and greys; are they taking the Tardis home?
I quickly see a bustling city without walls. Large houses of wood, houses of trees, tree houses, and some stone structures dotting the bottom of the ground. I occasionally see a flying glimmer of blue – Aegises. They are pretty much town guardians. An order-based creature from Lycanite mobs; quite handy when guarding against monsters; I had wondered where they went.
I see a few of the Aegis guardians rush towards an area. Some form of a molten creature with biceps the size of cars is lobbing stones at the village. It doesn’t take long before the Aegis intercept and eliminate the threat. I would hazard a guess this place is pretty dangerous.
Slowly the Tardis is wheeled through the town. Lots of Elves line the streets, along with some form of Avian species. They have feathery wings varying from black to white, mostly grey, poor souls.
We are slowly brought into a large brick building. The brick is a shade of white with black speckles, a rectangle with a wide bottom floor. Tinted windows on every side and a large dome skylight barely visible from my position; it is a very beautiful building.
A few scatterings of people started to gather, observing the odd telephone box. They were quickly dispersed by the armed guards transporting it.
Brought through a massive garage-like stone door, we slowly move through dimly lit corridors. Glimmering green lights are lighting the corridor we are moving through. The corridor is incredibly wide, given they fit 2 elephants side by side.
The path slowly slopes downwards at a barely visible decline, quickly moving below the earth. As we move deeper, a light thumb beats through the now strictly wooden structure.
Stopping, we are in front of some large wooden doors. Two guards step forward, pressing their palms onto some glimmering wood. Like a thumbprint, the doors unlock with an audible ‘click.’
I am now dragged through this door, into a large room. A ceiling 100 meters high and almost double that wide, it is truly an undertaking to constructor such a room. Lots of Elves are running around, doing a variety of tasks. Some wearing white lab coats, others armor, and a few in fine purples; a mishmash of different tasks being completed in one place, I am intrigued.
The Tardis is brought to the left side and placed on top of a stone platform. I at first thought them strictly nature bound. That was quickly disproved as they hooked sensors and began using X-ray machines to analyze the Tardis.
This feels familiar.
