A small boy laying on the river shore, bloody and wet, gasping for air.
"Where the hell am I?" A high pitched frightened voice echoed throughout the forest, scaring away the small curious furry critters that were watching from nearby, but all of a sudden, this boy held his head in pain as memories came flooding in.
Fang Li, 15 years old...
Memories of him growing up in a huge clan, the Fang clan, he was well educated in numerous things such as flora and fauna of the world, the history, all scholarly things except martial arts and cultivation for he had a very useless cultivation talent and was deemed a good for nothing, his parents were killed mysteriously when he was young, his weak grandfather smuggled him away from the Main House, which was situated in the Golden Leaf Empire, to a nation hundreds of thousands of kilometres away, the Rusty Leaf Empire.
His Grandfather died of old age, his last word to Fang Li was to hand down this tablet to his own descendant if he had any, the tablet seemed ordinary as it was wooden, but it had the word Fang engraved on it. Fang Li kept it hanging on his neck to keep it close to him always, but who knew Fang Li couldn't survive all on his own in this cabin inside the Rusty Leaf Forest, dying from a small poisonous Water Cloud Serpent that bit him when he tried to fish for food.

"Naruto System? What...." He was stunned speechless as he heard a robotic voice in his mind.
Focus your mind and concentrate on me.
Fang Li did just that, all he had to do was think about the voice, and about Naruto and a holographic screen came up inside his mind.

Also, while this version of the story is meant to be fully readable, more dicerning readers may want to wait until I move out of rough draft phase. There may be some inconsistancies with character and plot while I am still in the rough draft phase. I'm sorry for this, but this is my first web novel and from what I've read the best way to get a good novel out is to write write write, and then edit ruthlessly after you're finished with the book, so that's the plan I'm going to follow. Again, this is a rough draft. Everything you are reading is subject to change, including the name, title, and cover photo. This may no longer be the case once I've decided I know where this fiction is going and I have a reasonable understanding of the characters and their behavior. You're reading what comes off my keyboard as it's made, with very limited editing. There will be mistakes in the text.
