Dawn spread its first silvery strand of light, giving the lush garden a twinkling glow.

Ellowyn enjoyed the fresh air, colorful plants, and the unique wildlife while walking beside Alice. "I wonder."

"You wonder?"

"Why rabbit ears? I mean why did your family choose it, why not cat ears or fox ears?"

"The question is, why not?" Alice smiled. "Nothing portrays the symbol of fertility better than the rabbit. They have one of the fastest breeding rate of mammals. And in evolutionary terms, that is a great survival advantage. Not to mention they're pleased to look at and make great pets."

"But you.. you know, wouldn't some of those terms be applied to us too?" Ellowyn's face reddened.

"Are you uncomfortable, being associated with such?"

"No, not really. Okay, maybe just a little." Ellowyn drooped her head.

"You shouldn't care about the way popular media bashes on the very concept of copulation. The ability to produce life itself is a beautiful thing and should be cherished." She had a longing look. "While medical technology had advanced far enough to allow safer and faster human reproduction cycles, its too bad that overpopulation and poor infrastructure planning slows the general reproductive rate. Had it been better, I would have loved to work on the projects that will enhance our ability to procreate."

"Umm can we, can we change the top-"

"I've always been fascinated by the various way we as a species respond to the concept of intercourse. Some regarded it as the most nobleness of goals while others scorned as if the act itself is against the well being of humanity." She put her hand on her chin. "For me though, I've always wanted to try doing it at least once to see how it would feel, physically. I was too busy to plan it well and it wouldn't be socially acceptable to simply request someone else to give me such experience."

"Are you alright Ellowyn?"

Ellowyn's face was beet red and her heart banged on her rib cage, wanting to burst out from her chest. "I'm fine, fine. Just a little out of breath, that's all."

They sat on a nearby bench. Alice waited patiently until some of the redness faded away from Ellowyn's complexion.

"Ellowyn?"

"Yes?"

"Would it be alright if we engage in an intercourse? It will not only satisfy my curiosity but also give us many crucial experience for our future partners."

"I...I can't. I'm sorry Alice!" Ellowyn stood up and ran back to her room. My heart can't take this.
