《Game On》Chapter 32: Pilgrimage

“Hellooooo.” Still embarrassed at her current non-existent state of dress, Jennifer cracked the door open into the gym and then hesitantly stuck her head inside and called out. “Kayla? Tammy? Any of you guys still in there?”

Silence.

“Anyone?” She’d been trapped in there with everyone before. She knew there wasn’t any way out of the gym, unless they all ran out the door she currently held open. “Guys? It’s me, Jen.” Starting to get a really bad feeling, Jennifer slowly pulled the door all the way open and eased inside…

“Get her!” A figure jumped out from hiding at the right of the door and tackled her, knocking her to the ground and struggling to pin her beneath them.

“Holy shit, she’s naked!” A different guy’s voice called out from the left, and then someone was pushing at the person holding her down. “Let her go Bossman! Who knows what the hell those guys did to her. I don’t think we have to be worried about someone who’s naked.”

Bossman -- that was the nickname that everyone had given to Bo Mann, one of the large mindless jocks on the wrestling team – slowly let go of her wrists. Unnecessarily pressing his hips against hers before he got up, he reluctantly moved away from her. “Fine. There see. She’s fine.”

Rushing over, one of the other girls – Kayla, who was one of those heavily painted emo girls – draped one of the red and blue letter jackets across her shoulders. “Are you okay?” Kneeling down beside her, Kayla half hugged Jennifer while berating her with an endless barrage of questions. “Bo Duck didn’t hurt you did he? What happened? Are you okay? Where’s the guys that dragged you out of here? Have you seen Jason and them? Did they get away? Where’s those creatures? Are they gone? Are we safe?”

“ENOUGH!” Sitting upright, Jennifer tried to pull the jacket closed around her front and then gave up with a deep sigh when she couldn’t. The gathered students all took a step back at the suddenness of her yell, and Kayla backpedaled hard enough she flopped over onto her ass and half crawled away several steps crab-style.

“Look,” Jennifer sighed, taking a deep breath and trying to sound calm. “I’m fine. Bossman didn’t hurt me. Matthew and Rebecca haven’t hurt me. No one’s hurt me, and no one’s going to hurt any of you,” she tried to stress, and then gave a reassuring thumb up.

“Where’s your clothes?” Kayla asked, surprisingly being one of the first to recover from her shock. Considering how extreme her reaction was, Jennifer would’ve thought she’d been the last to settle down. “Did those other two… Matthew and Rebecca?” She struggled, trying to remember the name. “Did they take them from you?”

“No. Well, yes. Not really.” Sighing, Jennifer tossed her arms up in the arm in exasperation. “It’s complicated,” she told them, as the jacket fell off the back of her shoulders. “And it doesn’t fucking matter right now. If they stripped me, screwed me, and then screwed me some more, it doesn’t matter right now. I’m trying to tell you guys that we’ve found food. Found a place where we can be safe!”

Getting up the rest of the way, Jennifer dusted herself off and then started walking back to the door. “If you want food and shelter, follow me and keep your damn questions to yourself. We’re going into the auditorium, and if you make so much as a peep in there, it’s not my fault whatever happens to you.”

Shoving the door open with enough force that it scraped up a pile of slime and stuck open, Jennifer quickly strode out and down the hallway, not waiting to see if anyone was following or not. Bright red with embarrassment, she couldn’t believe all they seemed to want to talk about was her lack of clothes! Quietly blushing, Jennifer stopped at the entrance to the auditorium and reluctantly turned to face all the students once again. In the end, they’d all fallen hesitantly behind and followed her, too nervous to be left behind another time;

“Who has matches? A lighter?” She asked, holding her hand out expectantly.

“I do,” Kayla answered, reaching into the front pocket of her tight fitting blue jeans and pulling out a cheap disposable lighter. Not asking what it was needed for, she hesitated a moment, and then finally took the few steps necessary to close the space between them and held it out to Jennifer.

Looking over at Bossman, Jennifer half smirked. “Bo honey, take off that shirt and pass it to me.”

“Yeah, Boss! You’re big enough it’d probably be like a dress or something for her,” one of the other boys told him, laughing in the difference in their sizes.

Bo frowned for just a moment, then shrugged and stripped it off. “Here,” he said, offering it out to her in one massively large fist. “Sorry if it stinks or anything,” he apologized.

“It’ll be fine,” Jennifer assured him, taking the shirt. Holding out her left hand, a pale greenish-white light enveloped her fist as a long cylindrical glass rod appeared out of thin air in it and grew to nearly the length of her arm, before ending in what resembled a curved fist. Satisfied that she had what she needed, Jennifer took the shirt and then carefully shoved it inside the fist. Grinning smugly, Jennifer flicked the flint on the lighter several times until she had a nice flame and then used it to set the shirt on fire.

“Hey! My shirt!” Bo protested, looking shocked that she’d torch it and not wear it. Everyone else was too stunned staring at the glass rod that’d appeared out of thin air to say anything.

“It’ll make a fine torch,” Jennifer assured him as she turned to pull open the door leading inside the auditorium. “It’s darker than your momma’s asshole in here, Bo sweetie. We need something to see the way.” Turning her back on the small group, Jennifer finally let the huge smirk that she’d been suppressing burst across her face. Pin her down. Thrust himself against her hips. Ogle her when she couldn’t wear any clothes…

Bossman could just do without a few of them himself and see how well he liked them!

“Remember guys,” Jennifer reminded them all cheerfully, “not a peep inside the auditorium until we get where we’re going. I’m not going to be responsible for anything that happens to those of you who can’t be quiet and keep to yourselves.”

“So where are we going, exactly,” Kayla asked quietly, once again being the first to seemingly compose herself out of the bunch.

Turning her back, Jennifer quickly strode into the auditorium and worked her way down through the overgrown carpet of moss and mushrooms towards the stage. She didn’t want to admit that she really didn’t know either.
