《Sasha》61. ~Hot Chocolate~

After a nice shower, Sasha sat down at the kitchen table with clean clothes and damp hair. Having prepared herself a hot beverage, she stared at her cup..
I shouldn’t have gone first.
Now I have to wait.
Sasha forgot Yatsu’s fuzzy touch wore away in the shower, and after she stepped out, Yatsu snuck passed her before she could renew it. Her hands stung when she so much as touched her bandages, when before there was no pain. For now though, she could still raise a cup.
Sasha blew on her hot chocolate before taking a cautious sip.
The basement door opened. Miya yelled out a couple words from downstairs before the door shut again. Luna ran around and pulled out a chair, sitting beside Sasha.
Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
“Where’s Miya?” Sasha asked.
“Downstairs,” Luna responded quickly.
Sasha glared at her.
“Her hands are tied around a support beam,” she added.
Sasha looked away from Luna sparkling eyes, ignoring the fact her sisters switched rolls. With only one explanation for Luna’s presents beside her, Sasha took another cautious sip from her cup and prepared to spill the latest events between Yatsu and herself.
The shower stopped running, Sasha stopped talking. Luna hopped off her chair and disappeared behind the basement door. Sasha gulped the rest of her hot chocolate. Waiting, she tapped on her cup impatiently.
He’s taking too long.
Sasha stood up and walked to the bathroom door. She waited there, wanting the door to open. Needing the door to open. Her heart leapt in excitement at every noise Yatsu made.
Finally, something fiddled with the doorknob and the door opened.
Yatsu stepped out, and Sasha tackled him, pressing her lips against his.
Fire melted away the pain from her wounds, lightning zigzagged down her legs. She stopped to breath and kissed him again.

Yatsu suddenly kissed her back, just lips, then pulled away breathing heavy.
“Are… are you okay?” He asked.
Sasha wrapped herself around his arm, nuzzling his shoulder. “I am now,” she answered.
“Okay,” Yatsu pulled up on the pants he wore. “Can we quickly wash my clothes, these are too big on me. Is there anything else I can wear? The belt is even too big!”
Sasha nudged him toward the laundry room. “Dad is a lot bigger than you, can’t help it, but… you might fit in one of my dresses.”
“A dress? Haha, no thank you.”
Later, after they’ve eaten and Yatsu replaced Sasha’s bandages, Sasha ignored the beeping, warning her that the laundry was finished and cuddled into Yatsu on the couch.
He rubbed the top of her head, absorbed in a movie about a kid transported to the distant past to deliver a staff.
Sasha’s seen it before, it was more silly than anything. The kid was lucky to run into a kung fu master, strong enough to fend off a small army of worriers. Eventually they run into another strong master, and, taking turns, the masters teach the kid how to fight. He doesn’t become that strong, but he could fend for himself in the end.
Sasha yawned, laying against Yatsu she closed her eyes.

Far Strider
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home? ====================== OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp. Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39). ======================= As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog. The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker. But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
