《Pandemonium》88th Night: Decision

*BAM!*
On the wild continent Kashmir, majority of the continent was uninhabited. That was because the continent was too big and also Beastmen had a survival of the fittest rule so many died on a daily basis. These uninhabited places, as well as the scarcely populated places, are known as the wildlands.
Currently, in a wildland deafening explosions echoed through the area.
*BAM!*
Another explosion was created, causing large plots of the ground to lift up into the air and be blown away.
*BAM!*
Two streaks of light were clashing against each other with a blinding speed. One was white while the other was black. They collided, forced each other back, and collided again. Each time they clashed a huge portion of the wildland was uprooted and blown to pieces.
“Hah~! Hah~!”
Rory appeared from the black streak breathing heavily. His clothes were torn to pieces, his hair was messy, and blood stained his body. He looked worse than a homeless person.
“Grr!”
He clenched his teeth and leaped into the air to avoid the white streak. The white streak bent immediately after missing him and went straight at him.
“Ah!”
Rory lifted his right leg up and swung down his heel with all of his strength.
*BAM!*
His heel clashed with the white streak and forced it into the ground.
“Black Orochi!”
He stretched his fingers out and the black Orochi appeared behind him with all eight heads gathering Anima in their mouths. Rory swung his arm down and the Orochi fired eight lasers from its mouth at where the white streak had crashed.
*BOOM!*
A huge explosion further destroyed the wildlands leaving a massive crater in the ground.
“That was pretty good.”
Lucian suddenly appeared by Rory and avoided a palm strike that Rory was laying in wait to use. He then slammed his hand on Rory’s chest.
“Twilight Palm.”
*BAM!*
Black and white light burst out of Rory’s back.
“Cough?!”
He threw up a huge amount of blood and started falling towards the ground. Lucian grabbed his face and accelerate his fall by pushing him down.
*BAM!*
Rory’s head smashed into the ground and caused it to burst open.
“Looks like I’ve caught you.”
Lucian said with a bloody grin. He wasn’t much better half than Rory. He too looked worst than a homeless man. However, he was obviously far more lively.
“You….damn…..bastard!”
Rory grabbed his arm that was pressing his head into the ground.
“Hahaha! You can still keep going?!”
“Of course!”
Dark anima rushed out of his body and Rory lifted his upper body forcing Lucian back.
*BAM!*
Lucian punched him in the face with his free hand to force him back down, but Rory didn’t back down.

“Quake World!”
*BAM!*
Tsunami sized shockwaves rush out of Rory’s body and spread in every direction.
“Cough?!”
Lucian coughed up a mouthful of blood which splashed on Rory’s face. The area they were in started to look like they were in an abstract painting. Everything was being bent out of shape before bursting under the pressure. Lucian’s body started to twist and bend as well. It looked like he could break at any moment.
“What a powerful attack.”
He grinned while blood seeping from his nose, mouth, and eyes.
“As expected of you.”
He swung his arm which carried a white light down across Rory’s chest. A large cut appeared and blood sprayed from it almost endlessly. The shockwaves instantly started to weaken. Lucian was able to stand up and lift Rory off the ground. He threw him up like a doll.
“You’re not the only one who can use Quake Techniques!”
He swung his arm when Rory was right beside him and hit him with a quake fist.
*BAM!*
“?!”
However, it’s Lucian’s arm that instantly bent irregularly until his bones started sticking out of his flesh. His arm fell down at his waist swinging side to side.
“Huh?”
While Lucian was shocked, Rory fell on the ground breathing heavily. Lucian looked at his now worthless arm with shock.
“Reverse Quake. You sent my own Quake attack back at me.”
His grin only became bigger.
“This is god level talent. I’m amazed that someone with unlimited potential when he was back home hasn’t become a god yet. Looks like the road to godhood is far more difficult than I thought.”
“….S-Shut up and fight..”
Rory struggled to his feet. His blood has already stained the earth permanently. Yet there was a strong will to fight in his eyes.
“I don’t know who you are or how you know who I am, but I’m gonna send you packing, brat.”
His Anima once again increased. He kicked off the ground with godly speed and instantly appeared in front of Lucian.
Lucian shouted with his arms spread wide.
“Come, my idol! Let’s force this continent out of the sky!”
*BAM!*
A massive explosion devoured the wildlands and shook everything dozens of miles near it.
Cugine City, Golden Breath Villa.
“Welcome back, Madam.”
Amelia was greeted by the three maids Emilia, Sade, and Casey the moment she stepped inside the mansion.
“I’m back.”
She looked around the mansion as if she was searching for something.
“Aniket isn’t here.”
Reina walked downstairs and said while sucking on a popsicle.
“It’s been over a week now.”
“Are you worried?”
“No. That idiot might just be messing around again.”

“Well, I’m worried.”
Reina sat on the couch and said.
“I don’t know if it’s because I’ve gotten use to seeing his face, but I just can’t calm down.”
“…..I know how you feel.”
“I’m surprised that you’re being honest.”
Reina said with a small chuckle.
“Shut up. After you were being so honest, I would seem heartless if I continued to deny it.”
Amelia also sat down at the couch.
“Ahhh, dammit! Where did that bastard go?!”
She shouted in frustration.
“And here we have something important to discuss with him too.”
Reina sighed and took a bite of the popsicle she was eating.
“Griselda’s offer huh? I think we’ve made them wait long enough.”
“I was about to say the same thing, but I can’t really focus at all like this.”
Reina placed her hand over her chest.
“Whenever I think about the chance of Rory leaving us forever, my chest tightens and my heart aches. It’s pretty painful too.”
“That idiot won’t leave us. No matter how much of a bastard he is, he would never abandon us…..right?”
“What? You’re not sure yourself?”
“Shut up.”
“If I may.”
The head maid, Emilia spoke up.
“There’s a chance that lord Aniket has something urgent to deal with and had to leave temporarily.”
“Urgent? Like what?”
“Could he have gone to meet Guanyin? He did say that he was waiting on something before he could meet her.”
“He did say that, didn’t he? Maybe that something happened earlier than he expected. So he had to leave?”
“That is possible.”
Emilia said with a nodded.
“Either way, Lord Aniket isn’t an ordinary individual. I don’t see him dying just like that.”
“Dying? Why did you mention him dying?”
Amelia asked with a frown.
“Well, this is the Kashmir Continent. There are countless monsters crawling about. Some who would make Lord Aniket look like a baby in comparison. I’m just saying-”
“Enough!”
Amelia shouted. Her eyes had a beastly look to it which reminded one of a fierce tigress.
“Aniket won’t die. No matter what.”
“…….”
Emilia smiled and stepped back and bowed.
“My apologies. I didn’t mean to offend you.”
The other two maids behind her also bowed as well.
“That’s okay. You were just trying to help.”
Reina said. She stood up.
“But you’re right, Elia. That idiot won’t die no matter what. So we shouldn’t waste our time worrying over nothing.”
Amelia also stood up and nodded.
“Let’s go meet, Griselda.”
Griselda’s. Because it was currently daytime, there wasn’t the usual long line to get in. However, the bouncer named Ming was still waiting at the door.
“Honored Guests.”
He cuffed his hands in front of him and bowed. The girls imitated him, since they realized that it was respectful form of greeting someone. Seeing the girls imitate him, Ming smiled.
“Madam is waiting in the back. You may go and meet with her.”
“Thanks, Ming.”
The girls walked inside the club and saw that it was empty like they expected. Inside where a lot of people wearing suits talking among themselves while they drank, smoked, and entertained each other. When they saw the girls they nodded as a form of greeting.
“Looks like these are Griselda’s people.”
Amelia mumbled. She looked around and noticed that there were a lot of weapons like guns and swords casually laying around. These were things you wouldn’t find in the club at night.
The girls approached the back door that led to Griselda’s office and knocked on it.
“Come in.”
Griselda’s melodic voice could be heard coming from inside the office. The girls looked at each other and nodded. Reina opened the door and the two walked in together. The moment they entered they could see Griselda sitting behind her desk with Fraus bracing her butt on it. Shancai was standing in the corner like he normally would.
“From the looks on your faces, looks like you two have made your decisions.”
The girls nodded in unison.
“After thinking about it individually and talking it out together, we’ve decided that we want to help you.”
Griselda didn’t looked elated like one would think she would, instead she asked a question.
“Your reason?”
“Our reason is simple, we just want help you because we like you.”
Reina answered.
“We don’t know the people of this city and honestly we don’t really care about them, but seeing you trying so earnestly to help them make us want to help you.”
“We’ll overlook the attack at the mansion since it was partial Rory’s fault.”
Amelia looked at Fraus and said.
“So your reason isn’t to help strangers, it’s to help the person you like.”
Griselda nodded with a smiling face.
“Mhm, Mhm. I like it. I’m fine with that.”
She stood up and walked around her desk and approached the girls.
“I knew I wasn’t wrong about you too.”
She hugged them while laughing.
“Welcome to Byakko, Amelia, Reina.”
The girls smiled and spoke in unison.
“Thanks for having us.”
