《Pandemonium》73rd Night: Drunk Encounter
Advertisement
After spending a good amount of time at the Harem Garden, Rory left in a drunken state and started to walk the streets with wobbly steps. Of course, the girls at the Harem Garden offered to call him a cab, but Rory rejected their offer saying that he could make it home fine.
“Ugh….”
He groaned as he rocked side to side with every step. The streets were still a bit lively despite it being late at night, so he decided to take the alleys to avoid people. Just to note, Rory had no idea where he was going. He was just walking in random directions, but he walked like he was confident in where he was going.
*Bam!*
He walked and hit over some trash cans and almost fell on his face a few times.
*Swoosh!*
That’s when a blade was suddenly thrust towards his head. He caught it in his drunken state and threw who was holding to it over his shoulder. They slammed into some trash cans and hit their head on the ground.
“Hm?”
Rory looked at the unconscious person with a confused expression.
“Who’s that and why did he suddenly crash into those trash cans?”
He showed an intoxicated smile.
“I know, he must be drunk. He can’t hold his liquor and started knocking cans over. Hahaha! Light weight!”
He pointed his finger and laughed a little bit before walking away. He was completely unaware that he was attacked and that he reacted on reflexes and took the attacker out.
“Hey, isn’t that our guy?”
Soon some people dressed in pink and black clothing came running. They quickly discovered their unconscious comrade and started to look for who attacked them.
“Look around! That bitch must have allies like we thought! Don’t let them get away!”
They scattered and started to search the alley.
“Hm? Why did it get noisy all of a sudden? Are the rats throwing a party or something?”
Rory stopped and looked back after hearing a lot of noise coming towards him.
“I feel like I’m in a good mood.”
He stretched his palm out and a flame started flickering in it.
“I’ll smoke them out!”
He threw the flame and it spread through the entire alley and hit those in pink and black. They were either blown out of the alley with their clothes on fire, or they were burnt to a crisp.
“Looks like I got them.”
Rory said when peace returned to the alley. He resumed his walk through the alley, unaware that he just killed some people.
“Wow….”
Someone was standing on one of the roofs, surrounding the alley, with a smile on their face. They watched the drunken Rory continued on his drunk stroll.

“He easily took out Pearl St. Clair men. He’s either fearless or a fool.”
Rory continued to walk until he was about to exit the alleys.
“Hm?”
He stopped when he saw something at his feet. It was a woman in a pink dress. She laid on the ground with blood oozing out of her. Seeing the woman, Rory stooped down and took a closer look at her. The intoxicated look in his eyes had disappeared and he looked completely sober, like he wasn’t drunk in the first place.
“She looks like she was shot.”
He flipped the woman over and stuck his fingers into the wound, just above her hip.
“Ahhh?!”
The woman immediately screamed out pain. Rory, however ignored her, and took the bullet out of the wound. He looked at the green and gold bullet with the initials, PS on it.
“This is an Animite bullet. It was designed to pierce through Anima and hit the body directly…..This is very expensive.”
He looked at the woman again.
“What did you do that made someone use such an expensive bullet, just to kill you?”
“………”
The woman didn’t answer, and only groaned in pain. Rory looked at her with a strange look.
“Well, it’s not like I can leave a beauty for dead.”
He scooped the woman into his arms and lifted her off the floor.
“I’ll take you home to treat you. However…..”
Rory’s body suddenly started to give off an overwhelming pressure. Even the walls around him started to crack.
“If you’re planning anything, I’ll advise you to just give it up.”
He then showed a smile.
“Otherwise, everything will be fine.”
From start till finish the woman didn’t say a word, but she looked a lot much paler than before. Rory did as he said and took the woman to the Golden Breath Villa on foot. When the guard saw him with a wounded woman and seemingly had traveled here on foot, the guard immediately notified Jane, who ran the Villa.
“Lord Aniket, are you okay?!”
Jane quickly arrived at the gate with her group.
“I’m fine. I just found this injured woman on the streets and brought her back here to treat her. Although, since I don’t know who she is, this might bring you trouble in the future. So, I’ll apologize beforehand.”
“No, it’s fine! There’s no amount of trouble worthy of you apologizing to me.”
“I see. Then I’ll carry her to my residence. I’ll see you later.”
Lightning immediately covered Rory’s feet. He then disappeared in a spark of lightning, leaving Jane behind.
“Madam, is that really okay? We don’t know the identity of that woman. What if she’s linked to someone troublesome? Won’t discovering her ruin the Villa’s reputation?”

One of her subordinates asked Jane.
“Even if she is someone from a bad background, it doesn’t matter.”
She took out Guanyin’s coin that Rory gave her.
“As long as we have this, the Villa won’t die no matter how much it’s destroyed.”
Elsewhere, Rory arrived at his mansion with the wounded woman under his arm. He opened the door and as he expected, he saw the three maids standing at the doorway. They bowed gracefully.
“Welcome back, Lord Aniket.”
“Girls, I would like to treat this injured woman. If Elia and ReRe asks, tell them I’m in my room.”
“As you wish.”
Rory then nodded and carried the woman to his room.
“Was that Aniket?”
Shortly after, Amelia and Reina came out of the living room.
“Yes. He just came back and said he’s going to his room.”
Answered the head maid, Emilia.
“Really? That’s strange. When he normally comes back drunk, he usual cause a huge commotion. Him going to bed quietly is odd.”
Said Amelia.
“Maybe he isn’t feeling that well? Although, I doubt it.”
Reina added.
“He said that he needed to treat someone in his room.”
“He came back with an injured person?”
“Yes. An unconscious woman.”
“Unconscious….”
The image of Rory attempting to ravish a defenseless woman appeared in the girls’ mind.
“…..Nah. Not even him would do something that low.”
Reina said.
“I agree, but….”
The two couldn’t completely believe in Rory.
“Let’s go check.”
“Yeah.”
The two then went upstairs and raced towards Rory’s room. When they arrived they saw that the door was partially opened. They looked at each other before deciding to peek inside.
“?!”
When they looked inside they saw an unconscious woman on the bed, and Rory facing the bed, with his coat on the ground and taking his shirt off.
“Stop right there!”
They bragged in and quickly approached Rory.
“Oh, you two are still awake.”
“Forget that, what were you about to do just now?”
Rory looked at the woman and then himself.
“Ah, you two seem to be misunderstanding something.”
He took off his shirt ignoring their dagger like stares.
“I’m not forcing myself on her, it’s against my policy to force myself on woman. I’m simply healing her.”
He formed a blade with his anima and used it to make a deep cut in his arm.
“What are you doing?”
“Healing her.”
Rory then turned the woman on her side and made his blood drain into her wound.
“Ugh?!”
The woman groaned out in pain and her body twitched a little. The girls stared at her and noticed that smoke was coming from her wound. The wound then started closing before their eyes.
“Amazing….”
“You can heal people with your blood?”
They looked at Rory and asked.
“Well, in this form I can.”
Rory answered before flipping the woman on her back.
“This woman, is she human?”
Amelia asked. The woman had brown hair that flowed to her hips, a seductive figure that was wrapped around perfectly in her pink dress, and a mole on the left side of her face, just below her lips. Her skin was brown and she looked entirely human.
“No. She’s a Were-Coyote. The cousins of the werewolves. They can shapeshift and do everything a werewolf can. The only thing is that they’re extremely cunning and can be even more violent than a werewolf. But werewolves are still larger and much more powerful.”
Rory looked at the woman. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around.
“Where am I?”
She asked.
“Hi there. We met earlier, I’m sure you’ll remember.”
Rory spoke with a smile on his face.
“Y-Yeah. Thank you for saving me. I would’ve died without your help.”
“It’s no problem. It’s my duty to protect beautiful women like yourself.”
He held out his hand and helped her sit up.
“How are you feeling?”
Reina asked.
“I’m fine, thank you.”
The woman looked around again.
“Um….Where an I?”
“At the Golden Breath Villa.”
“Really?!”
The woman was shocked to hear where she was.
“Then, may I ask who are you?”
“Me?”
Rory puffed out his bare chest proudly.
“I’m Aniket. This city’s most handsome man.”
“Aniket? Lord of the world?”
*A/N- the literally meaning of Aniket is lord of all, lord of the world, and homeless (meaning the world is his home).*
“That’s correct. I’m this world’s lord.”
Rory laughed proudly. The woman on the other hand looked at him funnily.
“Don’t worry, he’s always like that. It’s best to just ignore him and don’t let him get to you.”
Amelia told the woman, who nodded in response.
“By the way, who are you?”
Amelia asked her.
“Me?”
The woman placed her hand on her chest and then-
“My name is Fraus Apate.”
