《Pandemonium》67th Night: Cugine City

The three started exploring the Wild Continent of Kashmir with eagerness. For the girls this was a new experience, since the two grew up on Raknor which was a human and normally civil Continent. Here they saw many things that they’ve only heard of in stories, and get to interact with them.
However, considering that they can’t move their body as they like yet, it would’ve naturally been a hellish experience to be in a place like this. Thankfully, they had a knight to protect them.
“Ahahaha!”
Currently that knight was severely drunk, and was running through a field of flowers naked.
“You know, when you told me a month ago that I would get used to seeing this scene, I thought that you’re crazy; but surprisingly his naked appearance doesn’t affect me anymore.”
Reina said.
“I told you.”
“Sometimes I wonder if this is all a ploy to get us immune to his naked body, so that if he strips with the intention of doing something to us, we’ll won’t think anything of it and let our guards down.”
“………”
Amelia froze when she heard that.
“…..You know, despite that being a stupid theory which shouldn’t be possible 100% of the time, I just can’t deny the chance that you’re right.”
She said.
“The fact that we can’t deny it says something about his personality.”
“The fact that despite all of this, we still follow this man and let him protect us, also says something about us.”
“…….”
“…….”
The two started to review their life choices.
“Anyway, where did he even get alcohol?”
Reina asked.
“He apparently ran into a wild flower that spits pollen, which intoxicates whoever inhales it.”
“Let me guess. He purposely allowed himself to inhale the pollen.”
“Bingo.”
The two sighed again.
“Well, what should we do? Surely, we can’t just let our knight run around like that.”
She saw Rory looking at a tree like he wanted to make out with it.
“No matter how much of a disgrace he is…..”
“I guess we have to sober him up.”
“You know a way how?”
“Yeah, I figured it out while I was in the Marigold Kingdom.”
Amelia walked to Rory and turned him around to face her. And then-
*Bam!*
She kicked him in the nuts.
“?!”
Reina was shocked when she saw that. Rory let out a silent scream, and tumble over on the ground with an agonizing look.
“He once tried to bring me to bed when he was drunk, that’s when I figured this out.”
“That’s when you kicked him in the nuts?”
“No. I did that after he called me by a different woman’s name. My mind went blank, and I just did it.”

‘Doesn’t that mean you were jealous?’
Reina asked in her mind.
“Anyway, after saying I wasn’t Arisa, I kicked him in the nuts. That’s when he came sober.”
“Well, yeah. Any guy would get sober after that.”
Reina said.
“But I don’t think he can have kids after that.”
“Then I’ve just done the world a big favor. We wouldn’t want him to multiply after all. This level of scum should stay unique. Besides, he’s likely been messing around for 150 years. If he could have kids, I’m sure he would’ve already.”
“I’m sure that if he heard everything you said, he would feel more pain than when you kicked him in the nuts.”
Reina said.
“Do you perhaps have a grudge against him?”
“I’ve been with him for over six months, what do you think?”
Reina didn’t say anything more after that and just looked at the pitiful Rory and sighed. After rolling in pain for a while, Rory really got sober and put on back his clothes. They were now walking with Rory glaring at Amelia’s face, and she ignoring him.
“Hahaha.”
Reina laughed awkwardly while standing between them.
“Just so you know, it’s not that I can’t have children, I just don’t want any.”
Rory spat out.
“Anything you say.”
Amelia didn’t seem convinced in the least.
“You don’t believe me, huh?”
He looked at Reina.
“Reina lend me your eggs! We’ll make a child as proof!”
“Don’t try to turn this into an opportunity to sexual harass me!”
Reina shouted angrily.
“Tsk. She’s smarter than I thought.”
Rory mumbled.
“I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear that.”
Reina said beside him.
“Eunuch, are there any settlements nearby?”
Amelia asked.
“It seems that I must make you experience with your body what I do to women like you.”
“Do that, and I’ll really make you an Eunuch.”
Amelia pulled her sword and said. It was like sparks were flying between the two.
‘I don’t know if this is them just messing around, or some weird sexual tension between them…..’
Reina thought.
The three walked for a while until Rory suddenly came to a stop.
“That’s odd. Since when have there been a city in these parts. Especially one of that size.”
“A city? Where?”
“About two miles away. I spread my Sensor to the limit to see if I could find any settlements, and found it.”
“Wait. You can sense things two miles away?”
“Five miles is my limit. What about it?”
“Nothing. I just forgot that common sense doesn’t work with you.”
Said Reina.
“Normality is for the weak!”
Rory passionately declared.
“Anyway, let’s head there and check out this new city.”

They continued walking for a while until they reached a cliff. They looked ahead and saw a city about a mile away.
“It looks surprisingly modern.”
Amelia said while looking at the tall buildings in the distance.
“I think that’s a bit rude. Just because it’s called the Wild Continent, that doesn’t mean that this place is filled with savages. In fact, a lot of beastmen are far more intelligent than humans.”
Rory said.
“All I’ve seen before this were wild and dangerous creatures. Not much of a first impression if you ask me.”
“Anyway, its great that we’ve found a city. That means that we’ll be able to have a roof over our heads.”
Said Reina.
“Yeah, we should have a large amount of money after all.”
“Ah.”
That’s when Rory suddenly looked like he just remembered something. Seeing that, the girls had a bad feeling. Especially Amelia, who had some experience with money problems because of him.
“What is it?”
Reina asked nervously.
“I just remembered that I forgot our money in the Transit Snake.”
He replied.
“Oh, don’t worry about it.”
Amelia rested her hand on his shoulder.
“What, do you have some extra cash?”
“No, but I know how to get some.”
Amelia said with a bright smile.
“Lizard, get some rope. We’re cashing in on his bounty. I’m sure we can live lavishly if we collect the bounty on his head.”
She said while strongly gripping his shoulder. It was obvious that she was furious.
“Calm down. If we do that, we’ll be captured too. Did you forget that we also have bounties on our heads?”
“Oh, yeah.”
Amelia then looked at Reina with a weird gaze.
‘Why do I feel like she’s considering turning in my bounty as well?’
Reina thought to herself.
“Don’t worry. I had some money stashed away in case Rory screwed up.”
She said.
“Really? How much?”
“Around 100,000 Ani.”
“Alright, lets go!”
Rory wrapped his arms around her shoulder and starting walking with her.
“It’s been a while since I had a sugar mama. Hey, can you buy me some alcohol? I was planning to steal some, but since you have the money might as well use it.”
“You really have no dignity do you?”
“Dignity is just something cowards use as an excuse to not do what’s needed to be done.”
“Can you stop saying shameless things while trying to past it off as words from the wise?”
Amelia said while following behind them.
After walking for some time, they arrived at the entrance to the city. They saw a sign that showed the city’s name.
“Cugine City? Now I’m certain that this city didn’t exist when I came here 100 years ago.”
Rory said while reading the sign.
“So it’s a relatively new city then?”
Amelia looked at the walls in front of here. They seemed to be serving as the borders of the city.
“It’s kinda strange seeing a city that isn’t a part of a country. What would you call it? A city country? A stand alone city nation?”
“There’s no use wracking our brains over it. Let’s go take a look.”
Rory said and started walking towards a booth that was at the entrance.
“Hello, welcome to Cugine City. May I see your passports? You can’t enter the city if we don’t register you.”
A woman at the booth said.
“What if we don’t have any and want to force ourselves inside?”
Rory asked with a sly smile.
“I wouldn’t recommend, sir. Anyone who enters the city illegally will be hunted down by the city’s law enforcement.”
“And if I was somehow to escape them?”
“Then you’re free to do as you please.”
The woman answered with a smile.
“Then we’ll take our chances.”
After saying that the Rory leaped over the wall and entered the city. The girls looked at each other before doing the same.
“Have a nice trip.”
The woman said after seeing that they were gone. She waited a little bit before standing from her seat.
“Now then, I guess it’s time to go.”
She gripped her face and tore it off. She was wearing a mask.
“Mio was right. Rory really came here to see GuanYin.”
The “woman” took off her wig and her green hair started shining under the sun. She tied it into a ponytail and her pointy ears could be seen. She then tapped her voice box and cough.
“Looks like he and Mio are really going through with this crazy game of theirs.”
The voice changed to that of a man.
“The real question is whose side should I join?”
The man stood there with his back turn to the city. His facial features were hard to see for some reason, despite the fact that his face should be clearly visible. The man remembered the two girls who were with Rory as Reina and Amelia, who he saw in the news.
“But still, Mio has some bad taste setting up Rory with my grandniece. Also, isn’t Amelia that woman’s…..Well, their not my business anyway.”
After saying that, the man disappeared without a trace.
