“What is this man?”
Amelia looked down on the naked man and said.
“That was amazing, lady Amelia!”
The female guard walked up to the confused Amelia and said.
“You were able to take him down so effortlessly when we had such a hard time. As expected of the youngest knight in history.”
She said.
“A-Ah, yeah. Thanks.”
Amelia answered with a complex expression and looked back down at the man.
After a while, she spoke to the guard.
“Do you mind if I take him back to the lockup myself. Just in case he wakes up, and goes berserk?”
“No problem at all! Having someone like you with us will make our job a lot easier.”
The guard answered.
Amelia nodded and lifted the man by one arm and threw him over her shoulders.
“Let’s go.”
“Hehehe! Okay!”
When the guard saw that, she giggled for some reason and led Amelia to the lockup.
When they arrived, Amelia placed the man in a cell and closed it. She continued to stare at him lying in the cell. That’s when the female guard came to her side.
“If you like, you can stay and observe him for a while.”
“Eh?”
The guard smiled.
“There’s no need to hide it. I can see that you’re interested in this naked man.”
Amelia nodded.
The guard nodded.
“I understand, I understand. With a package and face like that, even the tomboy knight can’t help but become interested.”
“Wait! I’m not interested in the way you’re thinking!”
Amelia quickly defended herself.
“Don’t worry, don’t worry. I understand. I’m a woman too you know.”
The guard said with a laugh.
“No, I don’t-”
“The way how you didn’t bother to give him clothes and just carried across your shoulder naked with his skin touching yours, is quite bold though. Even for me.”
When the guard said that, Amelia’s face immediately reddened. She was so distracted by the mysterious feeling she got from the man, that she completely forgot to put clothes on him.
Even now, the man lay in the cell naked.
“I’ll leave you two alone.”
The guard laughed and left before Amelia could explain herself.
“………”
Amelia was left alone standing in front of the cell with a red face.
“I-I should put something on him.”
After saying that, she looked around and saw an old male guard uniform. She picked it up.
“It looks a little too big, but it will have to do.”
She took the uniform, opened the cell, and walked in.
“Let’s get this over with.”
She took the pants and began to put it on the man.
“This is pretty hard.”
She said as she tried to force the pants on the man. After a while, the pants waist finally past the man’s knees, and was going up his thighs.”
“Ugh….”
That’s when Amelia heard a groan.
She looked up and saw the man slowly open his eyes. Her body froze when she saw that.
She watched as the man looked around with a drowsy look, before sitting up. When he sat up, his eyes met with the nervously sweating Amelia.
“………….”
“………….”
The two looked at each other in silence for a while, and then-
“Kyaaaaa?!”
The man let out a feminine scream.
“Rapist! Help, I’m being raped!”
He shouted and started to wiggle about.
“No, wait. I’m-”
The man pointed at Amelia preventing her front explaining herself.
“Listen here! You may have taken my body, but you’ll never have my heart!”

“No, I don’t really want it….”
“Gasp! So you want to just throw me away after you get your fill like I’m a piece of garbage?”
The man said with a pale face.
“Again, I…”
“It’s okay.”
The man suddenly looked depressed.
“I knew for a long time that this is how the world works.”
Tears started flowing his eyes, that were for some reason sparkling.
“Do your worst.”
He fell on his back and spread his arms to show full submission.
“My body is ready!”
*Bam!*
Amelia slammed her fist beside the man’s head in irritation.
“Listen to me, you son of a bitch.”
She said with veins pulsing in her head.
In response, the man-
“Hm? Now that I look at you, you’re pretty attractive. Alright, I give you permission to rape me!”
He ignored her angry expression and said.
“………..”
Amelia was stumped. She didn’t know how to deal with this person at all.
“Huh? These aren’t the pants I was wearing.”
The man sat up and said.
“What did you do with my clothes?”
“Don’t go accusing me. You were naked when I caught you.”
Amelia answered.
“Oh, I got drunk again huh?”
“Hey, why does it sound like you do this kind of stuff all the time?”
Amelia stood up and said.
“Because I always do it.”
The man got up himself.
“So, beautiful. I’ll like to ask a very important question.”
He put on a serious face and said.
“What country am I in right now?”
“Huh?”
The question completely caught Amelia off guard.
“What country? What do you mean by that? Aren’t you a resident here?”
“Nope. Well, I don’t think so.”
“You don’t think so?”
The man nodded.
“You see, I tend to travel a bit when I’m drunk. Sometimes I wake up in different buildings sometimes different continents.”
“Oi. Why are you saying that, like waking up in a different continent is like waking up on the street?”
Amelia said.
‘I don’t get this person. Is he joking around? He can’t be serious right?’
Amelia thought to herself.
“So where am I?”
The man asked.
“Buchse.”
“Buchse? I don’t know a country by that name. My God! I have finally gotten drunk enough to travel to different worlds!”
Amelia felt like punching the man when she heard that.
“No. Buchse is a small country that was founded a little over a century ago. It’s hidden in the mountains so it isn’t that well-known. It’s on the Southern section of the Raknor Continent.”
“Oh? So I’m still on the Raknor Continent?”
The man looked disappointed that he wasn’t able to travel to a different world.
“Anyway, what’s your name?”
“When asking for someone’s name, you first need to present your own.”
The man replied.
“Excuse me.”
Amelia was a bit surprised that he said that, but still kept her calm.
“My name is Amelia Rosa. I’m a knight here in this kingdom.”
“Amelia? A beautiful name.”
The man said with a smile.
“There, I introduced myself so please do the same.”
“Alright.”
The man then spoke his name.
“My name is Rory; because of certain circumstances I can’t reveal my last name.”
He said.
“Rory?”
The name cause a strange reaction in Amelia.
She had heard it before. In fact, there shouldn’t be any warrior in the world who didn’t know it. That was how famous it was.

“It can’t be.”
She walked out of the cell and approached a drawer and opened it.
“It should be in here. Every post is ordered to have one.”
She mumbled as she searched through the draws.
“Here it is.”
She took out a file and opened it. She was looking at a photo. It was a photo that depicted a red-haired handsome man with green eyes and a terrifying expression.
She looked at the photo and then the man standing in the cell.
“I-Impossible…They’re identical?”
She looked at the man again.
“You’re Devil King Rory?”
The man nodded.
“That’s impossible!”
She took the photo and showed the man.
“This photo was taken over 100 years ago! The Devil King should’ve been dead a long time ago. Even if he’s alive, he can’t look so young!”
She said.
“Why?”
The man didn’t seem bothered by what she said.
“The Night God who plunged the world into complete darkness dominated the world for over a millennium. The Sacred God, who defeated him and returned light to the world, reigned for another millennium. So why can’t I live for over a century?”
“Those two were gods! Are you saying that you’re a god?!”
“Don’t I have the face and body of a god?”
The man responded with a laugh.
“Don’t screw with me!”
She closed the file and approached the cell and locked it.
“Hey, what are you doing?!”
The man asked.
“I’m keeping you confined until you tell me your true identity.”
After she said that, she began to walk away.
“Hey, I’m hungry! What I’m supposed to do for dinner?!”
“Bust out! If you’re really the Devil King then that should a piece of cake.”
After saying that, she left the lockup.
“Devil King Rory? Ha! He just coincidently looks like him. He might be a descendant of some kind, but it’s impossible for him to live that long.”
She muttered to herself.
The time when she got a life-threatening feeling from him crossed her mind. She had to admit that was certainly a feeling that someone like the legendary devil King might produce.
But she then remembered how shameless the man acted.
“Hmph. Someone as terrifying as the Devil King would never act in such a manner. He’s the man who led the invincible mercenary group that could fight against any country in the world after all.”
Meanwhile, in the lock up the man stood all alone in the cell.
“What a feisty woman. Just because she didn’t believe who I am, she locked me up.”
He smiled.
“But I gotta say, she’s quite the beauty. Not her flesh, but her anima. I haven’t felt such pure anima in a long time. It’s too bad that this world will soon taint it.”
He picked up the clothes.
“Green huh?”
He threw them back on the ground.
“I only wear black and white though.”
He sat on the floor and closed his eyes.
“For such a small country, the anima here sure is disgusting. This can only be the result of rotten people.”
He suddenly smiled.
“Heh, it seems the most rotten one is hanging around that princess.”
He opened his eyes.
“This will be interesting.”
He leaned on the wall.
“Let’s see how the princess handles this.”
A few days later.
Amelia was in her office going through some paperwork in the middle of the night.
“It looks like that fake Rory is properly getting meals. That’s good.”
She said after reading the report she got from the lockup.
“He’s done nothing but eat and sleep? I didn’t think he would be so tamed.”
She put down the report with a rather disappointed expression.
“I thought that he would cause a little trouble…..Looks like he really isn’t that Rory.”
She sighed.
*Knock Knock!*
That’s when she heard a knock on the door.
“Who is it?”
Amelia narrowed her eyes and said.
“Lady Amelia, you’ve been summoned to the royal court.”
“At this time of night?”
“Yes. It’s urgent, please come immediately.”
“…..I see.”
Amelia closed her eyes and took a deep breath and slowly exhaled.
“I guess I should get going.”
She stood up and took up her saber that was by her side. She then walked out of her office and headed to the castle that was in the center of the capital.
When she reached the gates, she noticed that the guards were different. Even so, she didn’t pay it any attention and entered the yard. While walking through the yard she could feel several hidden gazes on her body. This too didn’t slow down her steps as she entered the castle.
After she entered, she went straight to the throne room where she would normally meet the king for an audience.
“……….!”
After she entered, she was shocked by what she saw. She saw a man sitting on the throne.
“Your majesty….”
The man on the throne was naturally the king, but there was something that was unnatural about him.
He had a saber stabbed into his chest. It was obvious from his pale look that he was dead.
“My god!”
That’s when she heard a shout and looked around. There she saw a servant standing in the hallway.
“Y-Your Majesty! The king has been killed!”
The servant shouted at the top of their lungs.
Amelia looked at the servant with a cold gaze.
“Somebody help! Lady Amelia has killed the kin-?!”
Before he could finish shouting, he was pierced from behind by a saber.
He turned around and saw Amelia standing behind him, still holding the sword that was stabbed through his heart.
“Your acting is really bad.”
She pulled out the sword and beheaded the servant with a quick slash.
The servant died, unable to believe that Amelia killed him so easily.
“………”
Amelia silently swung her sword to the side to get rid of the blood before sheathing it again.
“Looks like I’m in deep trouble right now.”
She said before sprinting out of the room.
The moment she entered the hallway she saw several soldiers heading her way.
“I don’t have time to deal with all of you.”
She focused her anima around her feet. The next moment, electric sparks covered her feet.
“Electric Skates.”
Her speed suddenly increased explosively, and she passed all of the guards without any of them being able to react.
She soon arrived outside the gates, where she deactivated Electric Skates. She couldn’t constantly use it because it burns up too much of her anima.
The moment she stopped, the guards at the gates pounced at her. She immediately drew her saber, and channeled anima in it and her body.
She accelerated and thrust her saber piercing through the guards’ hearts in an instant. After neutralizing her opponents, she looked around and ran into town.
“I need to reach somewhere I won’t be surrounded.”
She said as she ran.
“?!”
*Bam!*
She jumped and avoided an arrow. The arrow bore through the concrete wall of a building. It was obvious that it was infused with anima.
Amelia looked up and saw that she was surrounded by archers, who were on the rooftops of the buildings on her sides.
“Lady Amelia! You’re suspected of killing our king! Turn in yourself quietly or be killed!”
A soldier shouted.
“For a crime that was just committed, you guys sure gathered quickly.”
Amelia said with a mocking tone.
“That was because we were always keeping an eye on you.”
At that moment, Marcus appeared from the alley between two buildings.
“After all, you’re someone with a shady background. There’s no way we could fully trust you like the king.”
“Is that so? Then I guess as the people’s Hero, you’re the one who needs to kill me, the killer of the king?”
Marcus didn’t say anything and smiled.
The reason why Amelia wasn’t overwhelmed by the current situation, was because she had already known about Marcus ambitions for the throne. Even though Marcus and the king were first cousins, the two never got along. Marcus was someone who loved battle and honor, while the king was kind and cared about his people. Because of this, the two clashed numerous times.
The reason why Amelia was appointed a knight was to put pressure on Marcus, who wanted to fill the vacancy of a military commander. After he became military commander, Marcus would slowly weaken the king’s power and dethrone him.
However, Amelia who would definitely surpass him made it difficult for him by just existing. She did indeed put pressure on Marcus, but that wasn’t necessarily a good thing.
Everyone handled pressure differently. Not everyone will back down from it. They are some who turn into wild beasts under pressure, Marcus was definitely one of those persons. Amelia could tell from their last fight that he was.
She predicted that he might do something crazy and warned the king, but the king discarded her warnings saying that Marcus wouldn’t harm him. That was the King’s biggest downfall, his kindness, and naivety.
When she suddenly received a summon by the royal court so late in the night, she knew that something had happened. She immediately mentally prepared herself for the worst case scenario. As expected, the worst case scenario happened.
The king was dead and Marcus was trying to get rid of her, whose existence was a thorn in his side. Because of this, Amelia accepted her fate.
But she didn’t accept her death.
“My goal in life was to repay this country, but if this country wants my life then I must change my goal.”
She pulled her sword and took a fighting stance and faced Marcus.
“My goal is now this.”
Anima started dancing around her entire body.
“I will kill my way out this country, and find my place in the world!”
