Seven times had Ragna's group fought. Sometimes, they claimed bliss with their victory, and sometimes, sorrow tainted their souls. But they persevered and were about to face the last trial.
For this level, the tower would change the fundamental nature of its medium. It transformed them alongside the other participants into the roles they had to carry out. For this level would become a play. While they had to follow a general script to its set conclusion, each actor had the power to influence the plot.
And thus, as the final level began, all actors gathered on the stage, and the curtain rose. The play could begin.

Act 1 (Exposition): The emptiness of man
Place: Garden of Eden
Adam sits alone. Trees, grass, and flowers surround him. He sighs, and God comes forward.
God: Does something bother you? Why are you not tending our garden as we told you to do?
Adam: What reason is there for me to do? I tend and tend your garden for day and night, yet my heart aches more and more. I eat, but my hunger lasts. I drink, and my thirst continues to linger. All the wonders you have created, His Sovereign Lord, I cannot enjoy them. Please tell me, His Sovereign Lord. Why have you given life to me? What is there for me to do but to tend your garden?
Archangel Michael, Archangel Raphael, and Archangel Gabriel descend from the sky.
Archangel Michael: The case is clear as day, His Sovereign Lord. This homo sapiens lacks higher reasoning to be grateful for your gifts. But this is no reason to punish, for this is no sin but ignorance. He knows no better. Show him what life is without your blessing. Indeed. Let him see and learn to suffer, and he will yearn for the sanctuary he so ignorantly took for granted. Only in suffering will he yearn for His Sovereign Lord's grace. Once he knows pain, the homo sapiens will dedicate himself to you.

Archangel Raphael: Michael, I mean no disrespect, but your methods could not fail anymore. What he needs is not suffering. That he cannot enjoy His Sovereign Lord’s fortunes is evident of the insufficiency in the nature of the gift itself. Therefore, let man ascent. Let him walk the paths of the tree of life until he reaches our dominion. There, he can engulf in the angels’ bliss, and he will obtain genuine fortune.
Archangel Gabriel: I do not believe there is fault in any of His Sovereign Lord’s gifts. Nor do I believe that the homo sapiens has to exist separated from them. If I may propose, give him a deeper understanding. Thus, he can explore and find meaning in His Sovereign Lord’s gifts. This world is ideal as it is. The homo sapiens needs more time to understand it.
God: [To the angels] All of you remain silent. [To Adam] Why do you not seek companionship with our creations? This garden is plentiful of them.
Adam: Did I not try? The angels remain too far above; all the others are too far below. How can we communicate and gain insight into the others’ nature? We do not see the world with the same eye. Even if a lion could speak, I could not understand it. In this world, there is no one like me. No one sees this world as I do.
God: We hear your plight. Do you know why we created this world? In the beginning, we existed in the darkness. You can call it the void, the sea of emptiness, the water of fantasy and fiction, or you can call it chaos. We were chaos, and chaos was us. Chaos existed. It flew and rivered in absolute freedom. But what good is there in existence without purpose? If the chaos just existed, it might as well not exist. So, we created again. From the chaos, we formed the cosmos. We gave order and sparked the homogenesis of the universe. And so, we expanded as well. And then, the heavens formed and the earth with its waters. We manipulated probability to let chemical reactions create life. And from this primal being, more beings evolved. Bacteria, and amoeba, flora, and fauna, and eventually, the homo sapiens evolved alongside his brethren. The true history of life and the universe is more complicated, but for you, is this abbreviated story understandable?

Adam: Yes, His Sovereign Lord.
God: Almost 14 billion years had passed, but for us, it might have been six days. We gave the humans permission to hunt and make use of flora and fauna. We told them to be fruitful and increase in number; to fill the earth and subdue it; to rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. For you see, there is no equal in this world. Dominion exists above all. Under our eyes, all beings were equal. But among the homo sapiens, such equality holds not true. We knew they were far under us, but even us did the difference surprise. We gave them purpose, and they fulfilled their duty. But we were not satisfied.
Archangel Michael: What about us?
Archangel Raphael: Why is His Sovereign Lord not satisfied with us? Do we not bring His Sovereign Lord joy?
Archangel: Gabriel: Did His Sovereign Lord not make us in His Sovereign Lord's own image as well?
God: Angels are beings of elements manifest. We did not create you in our image. We formulated you from us. You are our messengers and soldiers, but we have no need for more of you. Humans shall have other purposes. That was what we had decided. So, we created one human being in our own image. One being to stand above the others, one to embody human perfection. The truest complete human that shall receive our gifts and residue in this paradise. And so, we named this human ‘Adam’. Like how we created a being from us, we will bestow you a companion. Someone to see life with eyes as you can. We will give you someone to fill your void. That shall allow you to continue to tend our garden. Perhaps existence is meaningless if it cannot be shared with another. She will help you to overcome your plight and allow you to fulfill your purpose. Yes, we will create her to help you to accomplish your design.
God, Archangel Michael, Archangel Raphael, Archangel Gabriel, and Adam leave the stage. The curtain closes.

8 109Restoration Earth: Load
The real star of RE:Load is the rich world in which the series takes place. This well thought-out world serves as home to the vivid descriptions of it's advanced technology and achitecture as well as the underlying meta-physical system mechanics, which support the wide array of unique abilities possessed by it's varied cast of characters. Within this expansive world, Restoration Earth's narrative takes the form of a sci-fantasy epic, chronicling the journey of young 'channellers' as they seek their fortune and pursue their dreams in a world where scientific advancement and mastery of the meta-physical are one and the same. These youngsters soon find themselves thrown into ancient wars that predate their birth, and are forced to explore their place in an expansive and confusing universe.
8 90MeiQ: Lore of the Labyrinth
Omaros City lays near one of several Yggdrasil trees that are scattered around the world. Each tree holds an entire labyrinthine ecosystem within or beneath it, yet the mysteries of their origins and what lays in their depths are only ever unraveled by the most skilled and courageous of explorers. Exploration of Omaros' Yggdrasil labyrinth is still in its fledgling stages, drawing in many with the allure of fame and glory that has yet to be claimed. Enter the harbinger Dubhan—cheerful, determined, and not terribly skilled at thinking ahead—and warlock Allouet— intelligent and resourceful, but desperately in over his head. Together, the two of them have half an idea of what they're doing at best, but that's not going to stop them from aiming for the labyrinth's unknown depths. MeiQ is, at its core, a fanfiction inspired by the Etrian Odyssey franchise, alternatively known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu in Japan. Despite that, it is written with the intent to be enjoyable by those unfamiliar with the series as well. The characters and the city of Omaros are original, while the story draws upon lore and recurring concepts from the game series. However, Etrian Odyssey is known for its lore being sparse and open to speculation, so much of the details provided in this story are exactly that—a fan’s speculation and personal expansion of the lore. This story was also inspired by and written as part of HereBeTreasure's Fast Food Frontpage Competition, enjoy some simple dungeon exploration plot and whatever else pops up from this.
8 119Aytelia
A magical world embracing chaos as powerful entities and worlds fight for survival or power, observed by the "universals", a sentient species no one can fathom or reason with. Their knowledge, comparable to the vast amounts of years they have existed for and their power feared by even some Gods, capable of destroying and creating entire universes, Aytelia being their proudest creation. Amongst all these the name of one of them is profound even amongst them, both feared and respected - Righteousness. As a lone girl wakes up in a large strange fountain, filled with other individuals in the same position such as herself, she lifts her drowsy head to find her surreal surroundings. The civilians walking around said fountain are all weird creatures that could only come out of a fantasy - orcs, elves, dwarfs, dragonewts, all wearing all different kinds of medieval armor, weaponry and artifacts. What will happen to her in this world? Will she be able to find a place in it and will the mysteries behind her current circumstances be revealed? Why is she so different than those around her? Warning: Character is extremelly OP and the lore behind it doesn't get covered till chapter 14. Updates once a week. First time posting my writing on the internet so feedback would be appreciated.
