《Celestial Journey》158] - [The talents are mine! Mantle of the Supreme Candidate!]

His worldview fully ascended, Alexander felt like the mysteries of the Heaven Surpassing Realm were bare before him. It became so easy. Too easy.
It only took a thought for knowledge to pour into his mind. He calculated all variations, comprehended all dimensions. The blue light grew, it fed on an arcane concept. The power of fate.
The ease was numbing to his perception. Was this talent? A talent built from tens of thousands of frightening ones. Was this a ultimate talent?
It was simply too fast! Too heaven defying! Something that should have taken him trillions of years only took a few thousands.
Amazing. All that Alexander could think of were praises for this work of art.
How much time would he have saved if he was born with it? He could not fathom it!
He was exposed to the world of the talented. Passing through gates he should have never even approached. A new dimension!
The reason behind all of the young children capable of surpassing him!
It was beyond his hopes! Beyond his scope!
From the unfairness of it all, from the greed that began to course through his veins, Alexander awakened. There was no time to contemplate such a marvelous thing. There was much better to do...
He still had to devour it for himself! Something that should take multiple times the lifespan of the one who wrote this technique.
And so, lost in a strange void of the mind, seven colors pulsating inside him, Alexander began to peer into the talent's secrets.
Without realizing it, he was already nearing the realm of sages. His cultivation shooting past the Heaven Surpassing Realm. A spark of blue light shining brightly like a star inside his Dantian. Until both became one.
However, he was lost somewhere else. His mind reeling in the feelings of this new dimension. Trying to comprehend anything he could, devour anything he could set his eyes on!
But the world of talents was not so easy to consume. This new world, similar to the very Heavens in his dreams, only trembled in anger.
He was not worthy!
He was not to set foot here any longer!
He was not to be given such benefits!
His lack of true talent brought shame to this world!
Yet, when a powerful gust was on the verge of pushing him outside... as cracks formed on the lump of colors...
As the talent began to reject him, as his cultivation froze, unable to surpass its new limits...
As such a man was about to be rejected...
The innate dreams of supremacy, the innate drive of a candidate...
The silver domain exploded! The world of talents left asunder!
To refuse a Supreme Candidate... it was impossible!
Not even the Heavens dared to do so!
Not even a Creator would dream of doing so!
To punish the truly unworthy...
Only needing to open his mind, a maw of silver opening wide...
The entire world of talents, its golden gates, its cloudy ground, its erected buildings of majesty...

Devoured in one bite.

Opening his eyes, Alexander noticed a rainbow lump to be drifting along the original winds, left in dust.
His cultivation was locked at the Heaven Surpassing Realm's ultimate peak. No to rise a single step further. His stolen talents could only carry him so far. His body was unable to make any more progress for the rest of eternity.
But he did not care.
Why should he care?
Unlike his exhausted lifespan forming black veins on his body, the [Talent Devouring Art] was not peculiar enough to do the same.
Therefore...
Did he not only need to reincarnate his soul inside another body?
Did he not already do this? Was it so hard for him?
Definitely not!
He did not even hesitate one moment when collapsing his vessel! Shattering his cultivation! Dispersing his lifelong efforts!
His mind was clear already. His flesh birthed anew, his measly Qi Sensing Realm cultivation worth the mockery of countless.
Still secluded, his plans executed perfectly.
A technique he and so many others thought to be pointless. A method he judged as useless.
For this same one to be gifting him the talent the Heavens themselves desired!
Left inside the dark stone room, with no light to illuminate its forgotten history, its damaged engravings... A rumbling laugh echoed.
.
.
.
The dark room of stone was dark. Pitch black even. Yet, from time to time, rainbow radiances would explode within its boundary. Within its depths, behind a closed door, a seated man of silver hair would not stop. His cultivation soaring, piercing the ceilings named bottlenecks as if they did not even exist. Sometimes breaking through multiple realms in one fell swoop.
To regain his cultivation base, Alexander believed there to be no better shortcut. Something like the Origin Realm for example, would logically be impossible to shorten.
However, the silver luster now covering his Dantian, granting him inner peace, did not think as such.
Even the Origin Realm, which should have taken him tens of millions of years at the very least, was now skipped over in less than one. Under a million years, he managed to regain his Multiverse.
He could not comprehend this notion with common sense alone. The world of talents was truly frightening. He thought that with such a talent, even a random kid would be able to touch the threshold of Origin Energy while at the Divine Realm only. And so during their first try as well!
It was so strange. Like his rationality was lost in the endless mist of confusion and denial, while his body and Dantian whispered mythical secrets and esoteric methods to his ears. The caress of unveiled mysteries glossing over his skin. Understandings crawling all over his bones.
One with all.
Giving him ways to surpass his former records as if it were nothing but the obvious.
It even gave him a sensation of thrilling anger. To think he wasted his time for so long, for so many years! When it was all so easy!

However now... he had it all! An unshackled, limitless potential! A heaven defying talent! The mantle of the Supreme Candidate!
His Heart Demon was being suppressed without the need to intervene.
The infernal despair banished by the eternal devotion.
Becoming both the slave and the master!
Desperately clinging onto his supremacy! While controlling its virtues! Transforming the entire world into a disgusting sinner!
As no such mortal land should ever taint his silver land.
As no petty muddy plains could ever hope to attain his magnificence!
Alone on the clouds, collapsing the sky, trampling over the inferior lands. A picture of a titan leaving the Realms in shame.
Without the chains of the mutated talent, made up of mixtures of countless others...
Rushing to the top with one thought.
Only taking him so long to reach it once more.
Alexander gently opened his eyes. A grand spark of blue light fused with his silver Dantian. A strange ethereal pink energy hazily shrouding his figure...
A sign of a being on the verge of reaching the realm of sages!

Shaking with a strange innate fear, seeped into his bones, Azvon looked behind him. He could not find the strength to finish experimenting on a piece of dark metal when a pink mist covered his vision. A peaceful world of pale pink clouds and a pink sky drowning his mind. The chants of golden mythical fairies resounding, echoing inside his ears. The scent of gentle flowers wafting around his nose.
He felt lost in the bliss of distant immortal lands. Still in a trance, he gazed up, looking at a tall figure of silver hair and eyes, overlooking the world without care.
Another silver glow radiating from his heart, Azvon managed to free himself from the mist. Regaining some clarity. Lucidity freshly overflowing from him, he watched on as a heavy stone door rumbled.
Leaving seclusion after so many years, Alexander was greeted with a pale Azvon.
"Brother Azvon, I see that you have made it to the Heaven Surpassing Realm's peak! Congratulations!"
Seeing Alexander nod with respect, Azvon's eye twitched.
"Brother Alexander sure knows how to jest! If not for my Dao of Supremacy... I might have been left helpless just from your remnant aura!"
Chuckling with a bright smile and feathery crescent moon eyes, Alexander shook his head lightly.
"Brother Azvon... this is something you will be able to do in no time! I wouldn't worry about it."
Remembering the pink mist, Azvon sighed.
"Indeed. I must thank you! Just this experience alone made my bottleneck loosen greatly!"
"Say, brother Azvon..."
"Yes?" Praying for Alexander to ask something normal, Azvon was left clutching his forehead.
"After you are done reaching my level... why no go play around in the Core Territory? I'm eager to try punching some little rulers and saints to death!"
"Ugh..."
'Let this old man take a break... it has been such a busy era...'

Sect world, Chaos Dream Sect.
After having been found, Elizabeth came to her senses. The strange light inside her would not budge, lodged without harm. It seemed like this light was nothing more than a visual entity, lacking a physical presence.
The problem was that a black smoke oozed out from it occasionally. It gave her goosebumps, a sense of dread unmatched compared with her previous experiences.
As for getting it out... she was not sure. Logically speaking, she should. But the problem came from this lack of reasoning. Her heart wanted to keep it. This scared her, but also infatuated her.
In the end, as to avoid raising suspicions, she extracted it. After throwing the light far into the distance, she felt much better. The strange sting in her heart finally gone.
'Was it a parasite from the demonic being? It makes me feel uneasy.'

Core Territory, True Martial Legacy.
Above the plains and the white clouds, drifting along them, beneath the pearly white sky, a city of gold. An empire of metal, light-grey pillars erected throughout.
In the middle of it all, a giant castle was leisurely rooted.
This empire contained in a single city spanning entire worlds in length was being looked down upon by two figures. They were high up into the sky, hands behind their backs.
Two immortals watching over the lowly lands.
"Brother Azvon... who goes first?" Wondering about who should try something first, Alexander noticed a few beams of light to be nearing them.
"Brother Alexander, I think it won't be necessary for now. Maybe they'll decide for us."
Nodding with a smirk, Alexander nodded.
"Indeed..."
The beams of colorful lights stopping near them, six figures floated across the sky.
One was an aged man wearing a grey crown of stone. Another was an aged woman with a similar ornament, feathers hugging her.
As for the four others, they each wore elegant golden robes with smaller golden crowns. Two men and two women, each quite young.
"Brother Alexander, it seems that our presence has attracted the envy of greeting us. Look, even the full power of the True Martial Legacy is here!"
A rough man speaking next, his words caused the eyes of Alexander and Azvon to twitch.
"What are you two peasants doing here? Just because you have some cultivation, you seriously believe your skills to be threatening us?!"
"I see... brother Azvon, I think I'll go first." An arm blocking his path, Azvon shook his head.
"No, no, no. I think I should do it. Can't you respect your mentor? Can't you honor the old?"
"..." Raising a brow, Alexander complained audibly.
"You're shameless."
"Right back at you."
Ignored, the emperor, empress, queens and kings of the True Martial Legacy.
Six versus two.
Numbers against cultivation!

Core Defect
In the 264 years since the Great Singularity Wars, the world has been irrevocably changed. Technologies like nanobots and rogue artificial intelligences have caused the planet's wildlife to evolve in dangerous and powerful ways, pushing humanity to the verge of extinction. However, the remaining survivors are not without ways to fight back. Nanotech can enhance humans just as well as beasts, but perhaps most surprisingly, humanity has found an unexpected ally: a group of human-neutral AIs called Daemons. Val is a 22-year old woman striving to become a User: a nano-empowered human paired with a Daemon that serves as society's final and most powerful line of defense. When a critical issue in her nanosystem's core seemingly leaves her unable to serve as a User, she's given a difficult choice: give up on her dreams or accept a potentially unstable AI, Noir, as her Daemon partner. Val and Noir are stronger together than they are apart, but can they survive long enough to unlock their potential? Can they find a place among the other pairings like them, shunned by society but essential to civilization's survival? If Users are humanity's last line of defense, welcome to the sacrificial first line: the Defects. Updates are currently once a week, aiming for the weekend. Chapters usually 2k-3k in length.

Apostle of the Goddess
A disappointed man dreams of leaving the confines of Earth and living adventures in fantastic realms...Suddenly, his wish is granted... Albeit in a far different way from what he could have expected. An isekai genre story with a few elements from LitRPG. The overall tone will be jumping back and forth from light to dark. Expect a lot of references to anime, manga, games, etc.It is written in first-person view and will contain a side-story using a "real-life" character. Initially, the MC will be writing the story as a true journal, so the prologue and first chapters may appear a mess of things that already happened, journal entries, and afterthoughts. A few chapters in, it will change into a normal, first-person manner retelling of what happened (storywise the character "Records" what happened to him). This is a side project of mine, so I will be uploading a few chapters per month. Chapters may have a severe difference in length (albeit I will try to maintain them around 3k), but expect the overall monthly word count to be not less than 15k words.Author recommendation, if you intend to follow the story, read the new updates once a month (counting from the day the first chapter is uploaded). Content Warning: I do intend to include a few disturbing moments to emphasize the darkness of the human (and other beings) nature, so please consider that even though some chapters (especially the starting ones) are kinda like a comedy routine.
