“Nullify.” A ray of blinding light struck out from the middle of its heart. The beam punched through the shield of the alien like it wasn’t even there, striking the Arbitrator and emerging on the other side, cutting apart the ship with an explosive hiss. An explosion of superheated steam burst from the innards of the mug and me and it spun in a circle, the ray slicing up everything in its path.
