LAWYER OF THE UNIVERSE COMPENDIUM

...The accused has wandered off into the dead city, while we were distracted by an avatar that had disconnected from us. The avatar went her own way to play with time, which frankly should have been impossible.
This trial is a mockery when the accused can just walk away!
We thought that Zee Captain had a weakness, somewhere in the past of these properties. We were wrong. It was difficult to track down all instances of Captain. There were too many. What we had discovered was truly disturbing. There was no end to Captain’s temporal presence. That wasn’t all, however.
Someone was interfering with the temporal displacement. We had found things in the past that did not belong there. We were used as a bridge to meddle with space-time. Someone had hijacked our connection to the past to create an avatar for themselves there!
We took too long.
We assumed this planet was inactive.
It was not.
We assumed this planet is a dead sphere.
It is neither dead, nor a sphere.
Something is terribly, terribly wrong with this world. The longer we investigated the matter, the more impossible questions arose with less and less satisfying answers to them. The more we had learned, the more dangerous the knowledge became to us. The more information we had acquired, the more things had awakened to oppose us, meddling in our investigation.
While infomatic weapons struck at our core, a weapon of power greater than the furnace of the stars had activated, firing at us from the atmosphere. As we burn away into nothing, know this:
The Biomatrix cannot not compete with a planetary AI defence network in possession of orbital ion cannons. The power of one hundred and sixteen planets isn’t enough to compete with the dangerous madness of machine life which has taken residence upon the surface of this world. Everything is alive here and everything here sings an unending symphony of the void. Everything here is a dangerous, sentient weapon that must be destroyed!

The Union must know. This world presents a grave danger to the rest of the Universe. It must be stopped, locked away within a black hole. This is our judgement.
We know that the Union will not be pleased with our failure to find out more.
We tried. Accept our apologies.

Bastard's Wrath
The Wyvern reared its humongous head, serpent neck coiling back, onyx scales of opulence shimmering in the dimness of the cloud smothered sky. It spoke, eye's ashen, like the surface of a star, "What is it you desire, boy?" The word's rolled from it's pointed maw, tongue flicking, it's deep and ferocious voice sending the ground below rumbling. Damien looked up, hair sodden with rain, his face battered beyond recognition, his lips curled into a snarl. He had gone past the point of being frightened; he was tired of his weakness. He spoke, voice wavering, mist floating from his mouth in the coldness: "I want them dead. I want everyone who stabbed me in the back; dead." The Wyvern smiled, rows of teeth exposed, "Then sacrifice it. Sacrifice your humanity." - The story of a bastard within a crippled family, who beyond all odds becomes known as the Greatest Swordsman to live: the one that, even the Gods, would someday fear.
