“Ah… We survived another day.” Roy said, while looking at the ceiling of our room.

We were both now lying on our beds doing nothing. It wasn’t that late, but the day was already ending, and remains of sunshine were coming inside through the window. The room was still messy as always, and the papers were just laying everywhere.

“We? The only one that could compare learning in here to surviving is you. For me it was but another day.” I responded, and Roy turned to me, and looked at me with angry eyes.

After talking to Emily, I just took the rest of my classes without any problems, and returned to the dormitory. It felt good, because I was finally able to get some rest.

“And here I thought that we were companions…” he just said, and then once again looked at the ceiling “But you are probably right. Your days here are easy, aren’t they? Oh, wait… I didn’t mean to say that…”

“I know, I know. Don’t worry about it.” as I said this, he smiled.

I know that he meant my ability to learn. I also know that it is hard to call my life in here easy, if I am insulted every day by every student living in here. Well, it’s not like I care, and sometimes I think that those things have more impact on Roy that they have on me.

“Anyway, you really are something…”

“What do you mean?” I asked, and this time I looked at him. When I did, I noticed that he was trying to hold his laughter.

“Y-You know that there is a rumor, that the class president told Lucas to go away, only to then speak to you?” he said with big difficulties, trying to hold his laughter “And that after that, she approached you really close, as if she wanted to…” this time he couldn’t hold it in, and started laughing.

I didn’t say anything, because I already heard this rumor. Well, the people that told me about it, cursed me afterwards, but this is another matter. Instead I just waited for Roy to calm down, and when he did, I looked at the ceiling.

“So, what were you talking about?” I asked calmly, and heard his laughter once again.

“I’m s-sorry! I d-didn’t mean to…” he said those words, and took a deep breath “As if she wanted to kiss you.”

Once again, laughing. He sounds like a monkey when he is doing it… Like a monkey trying to take a breath.

Once more I waited for him to regain composure, and when he did I started talking.

“And you believe in those rumors?”

“Of course I don’t believe in them, but don’t you think they are pretty funny? We are talking about the class president. That class president! Did you ever see her smile? Is she even capable of emotions? And here, a normal commoner comes, and captures her heart… It’s like a fairytale, a love that wasn’t meant to be. A romance that was always fated to be…”

“Shut up.”

“I’m sorry.”

Is this a sketch or something? But this rumor might have bigger consequences that I would like it to have. If I were a noble, people would probably just laugh about this, and think that it is cute, but I’m not a noble. This is just another reason for people to hate me, even if nothing happened.

“What did she want anyway?” Roy asked, and sighed a little.

“It’s my own problem.” as I said those words, he smiled a little.

“Don’t want to talk about it? People are saying that she left you looking annoyed. Is it because you didn’t want to kiss…”

“Shut up.”

“I’m sorry.”

Roy might seem stupid, but his questions are pretty smart. Just what did she want? Did I make a mistake? Writing tests without mistakes, using my own methods. It might have been too much.

For now I should stop standing out. Some errors are desirable, especially if you are a commoner.

“But man, I really envy you… You don’t really spend more time than me on learning, but your grades are perfect. Well, except physical education, but my parents don’t give a damn about it.”

“You envy me?” as I said those words, I looked at him, and he returned my gaze.

“Of course I envy… Hey, why are you looking at me like that?”

“Like what?”

What is he talking about?

“I’m sorry! I didn’t know what I was talking about!” he said, and joined his hands as if he was praying.

“What are you talking about?”

“I’m sorry!” he just shouted, and looked away.

Another stupid joke of his? Well, it’s not like I hate them. Roy is probably the only person in this school, that I can call my friend. I can’t imagine what would happen, if I were to share a room with some snob, who would think that I’m no one just because I’m a commoner.

I looked at him, and he was staring at the ceiling once again, as if he didn’t care about anything in this world. He looked just like that.

“Are you sure that you envy me?” I asked, and closed my eyes.

“What do you mean?”

“I didn’t tell you before, but I have a super power. To tell you the truth I am a really powerful human being, that must hide his own power even before himself, because it would destroy him, do you understand?”

“What is this crap?” he just responded and laughed.

“Oh, don’t believe me if you want, but I am so smart, that when I don’t control it, the world slows down only for me. When I don’t control it… Everything is for me to take…” I said, and opened my eyes.

“If everything is for you to take, could you improve my grades?”

“Oh, even I can’t do something like this.”

“You little…” Roy grabbed a pillow, as if he wanted to throw it at me, but then he put it on its place “Well, you might say what you want, but I still envy you.”

“Do you want to have better grades so much?”

“And do you want to kiss so much?”

“Shut up.”

Once again Roy laughed, and looked outside the window.

“We should probably go to sleep. It’s getting late, and I want to have a good rest, especially if we don’t have classes with Mr. Smith tomorrow.”

“Yeah, you are probably right.” I responded, and yawned a little.

“If I will oversleep once again, can you use your powers to wake me up? Don’t want to run again.” he said, and smiled

“Of course. Just go to sleep.”

Just like that we ended our talk, and I closed my eyes. I didn’t really think about anything, nor did I want to, so after a while I just fell asleep.
