《Origin of Flames》3 Calico

The cat growls at me in front of the downed cat and I. I back up and it calms down. It's eyes stare back. I fall back and a cat puffs air into my face. It purs? I touch it, it's smaller, compared to the others. It meows soft. The big cats hiss at me, but won't approach.

"Go away!" They back up at my shout and they tilt their heads. "Go! Shoo!" They meow and one bares it's bloody teeth, I scoot further from the kitten. The injured cat that laid on me comes into the light, a huge gash goes over it's eye, it's colors remind me of my childhood cat, I'll dub this one Calico.

Calico roars and I scoot further back. Calico limps forward and picks the kitten up by it's nape. I back away and lower the gun. Blackjack, the other one, runs towards me. I raise the rifle and it stops dead in it's tracks. Click! Click! Click! I quiver as Blackjack backs away slow. Smart, Blackjack. He doesn't know, does he?

The three watch me as I hold them at gunpoint. I back away and find Ivanov's body. I watch the cats and rifle through his pockets. My hand comes out with his keys. I took my eyes off them for a second and Blackjack stands close. I jump in my sneakers and run to the truck. Blackjack meows and I shout in horror, "Bad kitty!" The flashlight shows Ivanov's plates.

I open the truck door and slam it shut. Blackjack roars and breaks the window. He swipes at me and cuts into my arm. He pulls his arm away and I turn the key.

He comes back and swipes through again, roaring like a banshee. I slam on the gas and he falls down, "Mry Reg!" I clunk over him with the front wheel. I smash into the warehouse wall and Blackjack runs towards me. I put it into reverse and he leaps into the back of the truck. "Fuck!"

I slam on the gas again and brake fast. The metal floor squeals and he roars from the back. He dug in?! I reverse, where's the fucking garage door?! I drive around as he tears at the thick plating behind me.

It's there! I stomp on the gas and grab the steering wheel tight. "Fuuuck!"

I crash through and make a tight turn. Blackjack tears through and digs into my shoulder. I swerve to the right and hit a snowy mound. The windshield shatters and I fly out.
