Chapter 71 – Sia Noah
A girl with short gold and dark hair was walking through the corridors of a mansion in the border town of Cali.
With a beautiful white and golden short dress covering her body, the beautiful girl kept an emotionless face. Many servants bowed around her after seeing her figure.
With fast and serious steps, the girl ignored all the servants in her surroundings. She only continued walking, not changing her expression in the sightless. From a few years ago, it had become common seeing her not showing any emotion.
After a few minutes, the girl reached to a study ubicated in the mansion’s second floor. Knocking the door to show her respects, she waited for the order to enter. Then, with a curt tone, she asked.
“What happened?”
In the study, three people could be seen. The first two were an old man and a middle-aged man. They were the elders sent by the clan to take over this mission.
Though the girl kept her expressionless face, her gaze was respectful when speaking to the elders. After all, though she was nominally the current heir of the clan, her personal strength was nothing compared to the two men.
The third people, though, was different. It was a young man of around eighteen years old.
As every Noah classman, the young man's hair had two different colors; black and white. The girl knew that he was one of the two disciples sent to acquire information about the supreme emptiness flame. His name, if her memory was right, was Allen Noah.
“We have a problem, little Sia.” Said one of the elders, the elderly one. “Apparently, one of ours disciples disappeared a few nights ago. According to this disciple, he went to spectate a fight three nights ago and didn’t return.”
Frowning slightly, the girl, Sia, kept her expression unreadable after hearing the information. Looking to the young man, she asked emotionlessly.

“Why was he alone? What reason he had to spectate a fight? They had orders to not leave the mansion if it was not necessary.”
Sensing the gaze of the girl against him, the boy shuddered slightly and lowered his head. Apparently, he was unable to give an acceptable excuse.
“The disciple who disappeared is called Clearance, young miss.” Said the other elder. “He is famous for being fickle in his missions and seeking thrilling experiences. It’s not the first time he left while completing a mission; however, he always tried to return quickly. His companion thought that this time would be the same, so he didn’t restrict his behavior.”
“However, it’s not an excuse to condone his faults.” Refuted Sia in a calm tone. “He had the responsibility to restrict his companion’s behavior. In this situation, he is equally at fault.”
Nobody denied Sia’s words.
“Is the disciple dead?” Asked Sia again.
“We don’t know.” Said the middle-aged elder in a soft tone. “The city lord refuses to give any information. Besides, we don’t have any information about the responsible either.”
“And the other families in the town?”
“Apparently, the city lord didn’t allow to observe the battle. The only information we have is that one of the parties fighting was apparently a young generation’s member using saber manifestation.”
“… Saber manifestation?” With an expression of surprise on her face, Sia looked to the elders to confirm the words.
“Yes. We tried searching information about him, but nobody knows about a young genius able to use saber manifestation in the surroundings. Besides, the city lord refuses to speak about him.”
Hearing it, a pondering expression appears in Sia’s emotionless face. Then, looking towards the young man lowering the head, she asked in a curt tone.
“Do you know anything else?”
“… No.” Answered the youth, Allen Noah. “But Clearance said that he was going to hunt a fox.”

“A fox?”
Unable to understand the meaning behind the words, Sia looks towards the middle-aged elder. Then, with an expressionless face, she asked.
“What are we going to do, elder?”
“Nothing.” Answered him. “We can only investigate about the responsible and try to find any clue. Meanwhile, we must perform the mission that we were entrusted.”
Looking towards the expressionless girl in the door, the middle-aged elder sighed and spoke helplessly.
“The supreme emptiness flame was apparently sighted a few days ago in the lost forest. However, the city lord forbade anyone in the spirit materializingspirit teacher stage or above from entering the forest. Only the young generation is allowed to enter and search for it.”
“He had the authority to do it?” Asked Sia strangely.
“No. But he’s strong enough. Nobody wants to offend a spirit king so easily. Besides, the conditions can be considered fair, so all the influences currently in town are planning to follow his orders.”
“… Very well, I understand.” Said Sia after thinking for a moment. “I will be entering the forest after asking for information in the surroundings.”
“… Information?” Asked the elder. “We already have all the information relevant to the mission.”
Hearing the elder’s question, Sia hesitated slightly. But in the end, she decided to speak.
“There is a branch of Heavens’ Net in this town. I’m planning to ask if they have information about Aiden.”
Immediately, an expression of displeasure appeared in the elder’s face.
“Young miss! Is searching for him in our kingdom not enough!? Forget about that boy. He already is not part of the clan.”
“You…” For the first time, the expression on Sia’s face changed.
With a gaze filled with fury, she looked towards the elder; forgetting the respect she was supposed to use. “If it’s not because of you, how can he dare to leave the clan!?”
“It was for the clan’s sake! Besides, he agreed to it!”
“You forced him! He was supposed to–“
“Okay, it’s enough.” Interrupted the middle-aged elder. Though his voice was calm, it exuded an unprecedented authority. “Sia, you must respect the clan’s elders.”
Shaking his head, the younger elder looked to Sia with a complex gaze before sighing helplessly. “Go, you can investigate if you want. But little Sia, you must know that bringing the young master back will not be good for him. Are you sure about doing it?”
“I will not abandon him. Not like you did. If someone wants to hurt him back in the clan, then I will be sure to protect him personally!”
When the middle-aged elder saw the expression on Sia’s face, he knew that it was impossible to change her mind. With a shake of his head, he simply waved his hand.
“Don’t be late. The young princess will be coming with you on this mission. She will be here before night.”
Sia didn’t bother to hide her anger after hearing the elder words. “What is she doing here!? Elders, you know very well what I think about her!”
With a sigh, the elder smiled bitterly before speaking. “Little Sia, you must show respect to the royal family. The clan head ordered it, you must obey.
“*Sigh* Little Sia. At times, it’s necessary to compromise for the greater good. If you don’t want to obey the words of someone else, then you simply must become stronger.”
Hearing it, Sia clenched strongly her teeth. Then, turning around, she left the study without speaking again.
The elder’s last words continued resounding in her mind.

Unless, of course, the Tyrant King gets to him first …Hey everyone, so as most of you know, I write books for a living, and I just put this title up on Amazon (and enrolled it in KU). Because KU requires exclusivity as part of their terms of service, I have had to pull the majority of the content from this site. I left the full novel up for as long as possible, so I hope everyone got a chance to read it. If you haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety (sorry!) you can pick it up on Amazon. Thanks again for coming on this journey with me, and I so hope you enjoyed it. The book will be out on Tuesday July 24th. Best, James Hunter
