AN: Sorry for the wait. Man this was the most difficult chapter ever. Anyway with this comes the end of arc 1. Thanks for reading.

------

POV ???

"We failed to kill Thorus. Leo and some of his men died."

"What? Say that again!"

"Leo and hi-"

"Do you think I am an idiot I heard you."

This is bad, how am I going to explain that to these people. They won't tolerate failure. This is bad for business. Now Thorus is aware that someone wants his head, he will be weary and more difficult to kill. To think that he was this strong is suspiring. So the intel of the client and ours were false.

"Damn it. We failed the mission, we had to hinder him. Now he will carry out the concert. Killing him after the concert will also do, the client however wanted him dead before the concert at all cost."

This looks bad. After the news spread we will be the laughing stock in the underground world.

"What about John? He is our best man, he would be able to kill Thorus."

"Do you have a brain at all? If I could use John to kill Thorus I would have done so. He is somewhere training in the mountains and does not want to be bothered. You know his temper. If you offend him doesn't matter if you are his boss, he will kill you."

"Than what will we do?"

"We will wait until John returns. In the mean time our client will probably hire other assassins. They will fail for sure, than we'll have another chance."

POV Thorus

"Are you nervous?"

"Not really it is just gig like always."

"Don't underestimate this work of art. I want perfection. One mistake and our face is lost."

"I thought you liked imperfections?"

"Not in this case."

If we fail, Beethoven would turn in his grave. I wonder what he would think if he knew that his music is played in a different world. For this concert we will play Beethoven's symphony nr. 9.

I think this peace is perfect for what I want to achieve. When the people listen to the music they will be an uproar. The opinion about me would sky rocket in a positive direction.

"Thorus."

"Ah mother you made it."

"Hey I am also here."

"Ah, father how could I miss you come in, come in."

"Your parents?"

"No."

"You idiot...Why can't you answer serious for once."

"Why do you ask stupid questions? Ai the drugs must have torn holes in you brain."

"You-"

"Ah, my child I missed you so much."

My mother says while hugging me.

"Who is this child. A friend of yours?" she asks while looking at her.

"Probably his second girlfriend."

"Eh?" Raya seems kind of lost of what to say and a shade of red can be seen on her face.

"Stupid husband, stop talking nonsense. My, you look so cute." My mother says sternly.

"Hahaha, I am just joking, just joking." Says my father rubbing his head in shame.

"Let me introduce her to you. She is Raya Charles. The number one musician under the heavens after me of course."

"Look at him so full of himself. Hello aunty it is a pleasure to meet you. I am surprised, I imagined the parents of Thorus differently."

"Really, how did you imagine us?"

"I thought you guys were savage and crazy. Never would I have thought that such lovely people could raise uhm, how should I say, such a free spirited man."

"Ai, what nonsense are you talking Raya."

"Free spirited indeed hahaha." My father laughs.

"Anyway, you should take a seat. I arraigned for you a private booth."

"Will do. But what Raya said disturbed me a bit. I guess we have to talk after the concert." said my mother and left with my father.

Sighing I turn to Raya.

"You should go on to the stage first. The conductor always comes last."

Raya nods and also leaves.

Finally alone there is only one thing left to do.

I have never prayed to Chadera before, let's see how this will turn out.

Hello? Darling are you there?

No answer.

Honey, don't do this to me... Hello? Is that time of the month again? Don't act like that!

Hmm, do I have to chant some prayer? Maybe I have to ask in a more humble way.

"Oh, Chadera, beautiful mother of all living beings. I request your presence. Stop lazing around above. It was such a long time that I saw you. Let me refresh the memory of your grace, so I can masturbate in the future without the fading image of yours. Or better, you can give me a hand."

"You shameless child who is going to give you a hand." A divine voice rings from behind. This can only mean...

I turn around and see Chadera standing there. Her brows are furrowed and a sneer appears on her face.

"After all this years the first thing you say is that? I am kind of disappointed."

"Hmm, don't make a face like that. It makes you look old."

"Come on." She sighs and her face turns much gentler.

"Well, I guess it can't be helped. I see that you didn't changed much."

"How can you say that? I am still maturing. Last time I even ate all my vegetables."

A smile creeps up on her face and see chuckles.

"Anyway, why did you call me? Is it important?"

"Well you probably know already that I am about to give a concert. So I want to invite you. You should listen to it. It will broaden you horizon."

"Broaden my horizon? I am a goddess I have heard the most celestial music there is. You must have a lot of confidence in your music or else you wouldn't have invited me. There is problem though. It would look bad if I just appeared in the audience. Some would say that I favor you to much. I can still listen from above."

"Well, I can understand your point but the music I perform is something you want to experience before your eyes. Also, the message of the piece is something you would approve of. When you are present no one will think badly of you. The opposite, they will think that you are a supporter of my peace campaign."

"This..."

"The people have come to a turning point. More people are abandoning the church of light. Also the people of the mad god are also starting to appear because of the protection I can offer to them.

If I don't act now the people will split up in to two factions. The people of the mad god and yours will live apart.

There sure will be tension due to the differences in faith. In the worst, case people will agitate each other, calling out the differences, leading to religious wars.

I want to avoid it at all cost. This concert is a contribution for my goals to live united and in harmony, despite the differences. Like ying and yang. Differences are what make life worth living. "

Chadera was speechless. She seems to contemplate. After a while she nodded while smiling.

"Great, I didn't know you had such insight. I was the ignorant one, only thinking about me and how people perceive me. It would have been much worse If I had turned you down. Thank you. How can't I support you when you are trying so hard to avoid violence and hatred in the world."

"Hmm, hmm yes this is how it should be. Mankind striving for a better future hand in hand."

"Good words."

"Okay, than let's do this. Let me hold your hand and we go to the stage together."

"B-but..." She was blushing slightly.

"No buts. I am the champion of the mad god and you are Chadera the god of light or whatever.

When they see us hand in hand that will show that you approve of my kin even if my kin is not worshipping you.

They can't justify hostile acts in your name. Sure you could just show yourself and forbid them but that won't have much of an impact.

Also it is only holding hands. Mothers hold the hands of their children so that they don't get lost. Or is it to much for your virgin body to handle?

Tsk tsk, such a child. One can feel that you don't have much life experience evven though you lived for a long time."

Now the head of Chadera truly turned red due to embarrassment. Imagining the scene where we hold hands maybe plays a part in that too.

Such a pure innocent woman. I like my woman dirty and savage but this also isn't bad. Diversity yes, that's life's essence.

"A-alright... Let's hold hands." She stretches out her right hand. The hand of goddess, it's white like flawless jade.

Thee moment I take her hand she gets a bit startled but I strengthen my grip like the man I am. I have to show my dominant side. Or getting this girl to fall in love in me will only be a pipe dream. If there was ever someone daring enough to strife for her, they probably did in an ass licking manner.

"Somehow you have become much more dependable." She says looking down, not meeting my gaze.

"This comes with becoming more mature. Let's go, the people are waiting.

Leaving the room Chadera and I are heading to the stage where the orchestra is already seated.

Back stage. Chadera seems somehow restless.

"Why are you looking so frightened. Don't tell me you have stage fright?"

"Who has stage fright you idiot. I am fine. Let's do this." She gives her a little slap to her self with her free hand.

"Okay, here we go." I love this rush before appearing in front of the audience.

Heading to the stage I feel a resistance. Chadera despite her words, seems reluctant to go.

"Hey, girl who are you trying to fool, you are scared shitless. How come a goddess is afraid of going on the stage, it's not even like you are performing."

"I'll go, I'll go, just shut up."

"Whoa that escalated quickly. If people would see you like that they would lose faith in you. Come, If you come I'll give you a present. And it is a present that even you can't get your hands on, even if you are a goddess."

"Something even I can't get?"

Somehow her earlier cowardly demeanor changed. She seems much more calm and in her eyes burns a fire that of a competitive person.

Going of to the stage you can hear peoples chatter. The moment we arrive on stage a silence broke out.

Arriving at the middle of the stage the musicians stood up like we rehearsed, but even while standing their mouth was agape. The audience also was looking shocked. People with widen eyes and open mouth. Some hold their hand in front of their mouth, while others had foam coming out, clearly they were unconsciousness.

"Oh, my goddess it is Chadera, our goddess."

"What? Chadera... What is she doing here. Why is she holding hands with that Thorus."

"What in the world is going on? Am I dreaming?"

After the silence an uproar started. Some people stood up in shock. Some wiped their eyes in case of they were dreaming.

"This..." A man in noble attire stood up. He is a guy surrounded by a bunch of guards.

That guy that stood up is the king of Velen. Even he seems shocked.

Beside her must be the princess. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Her figure is bewitching, with just enough fat on her mountain peeks. Hmm, yes I should pay her a visit some time.

"Ah, even the king is here. I didn't even notice. Junior greets senior."

The King is called Gerogy von Velen. After a moment of dumfoundess he regains the demeanor of a king and nods. As excepted of a King, he recovered quickly. And he didn't even get mad at my remark.

After a while the people also recovered and some where beginning to bow down in worship.

"Don't my children, today is a happy occasion. There is no need to stand on ceremony. I have been invited by Thorus to enjoy his music that he is about to perform. Just threat me as an someone from the audience."

"Did you hear that? Thorus invited the goddess and she actually came? What in the world is going on? Did the sun rise from the west today?"

"Holy cow, someone that can causally invite a goddess is no simple man. It was already shocking when Chadera protected Thorus because they are suppose to be enemies. This however is more unfathomable."

Okay I think they are calm enough.

"Ahem, hello everyone. I am Thorus the madman. Some call me the mad king. Well I don't know why they call me like this. Anyway, today will be a historic day. I thank the king of Velen for allowing me to perform in his kingdom."

"Today I didn't come as an preacher. Nor did I come for politics. Today I am here to help mankind. I believe that music is an universal language, that's why please accept our sincere feelings and listen to this piece. The theme of the music is about peace and stuff like that. "

"Under your seats there is a booklet. In that booklet you will find the translated lyrics of this piece. Please take it out at the end of the piece as not to be spoiled. Anyway I hate long speeches, let the music speak for it self."

"Chadera you can sit on stage if you want."

"No, I will sit in the first row."

"Good."

"My goddess please take my seat."

"Ah, really kind of you my child but I don't want to trouble you"

"It is nothing, if you refuse it would trouble me. I can stand. Please accept my sincere feelings."

"Than I will sit."

A man in his forties makes room for Chadera to sit.

The people near Chadera don't know how to act. Some have their head lowered while some can't take their eyes of off her.

Most of the attention is on her but I don't mind.

Soon they will forget about her and will be sucked in to the music.

I go to the podium and take my baton.

"Okay everyone. Let's blast them away."

Everyone tunes their instruments before starting.

I look everyone into the eyes. They nod and show me that they are ready.

(AN: Protipp: Listen to Beethoven ninth for awesome immersion.)

POV Gerogy von Velen

Today might be a historic moment. The champion of the mad god is giving a concert and the goddess Chadera is in the audience. If someone told me that I wouldn't believe him. Seeing is believing I guess. And the instruments they have, I have never seen that kind. I wonder how they sound.

It's beginning.

What is this sound? Such divine sound. The stringed instruments are drawing you in right in the beginning. The sound doesn't want to go nowhere yet it's building up becoming more complex and louder. And the wind instruments, some sound mighty and strong and some as gentle as a spring breeze.

Boom, an explosion of harmonious sounds emerge and burst with so much energy. How did the beginning end up in this mighty sound...

And the drums aren't overbearing. They fit quite well and give a nice accent.

What is this feeling? How can music stir my heart this much. I a king of thousands am moved by music? Is this a spell?

POV Chadera

The moment the music started it struck me. I a goddess that lived eons have never heard such divine music. The music of heavens pale in comparison. I would have never thought that something this beautiful could be created by mortals.

POV Thorus

This is what I am talking about. I would never have thought that I would conduct Beethoven ninths.

The movement final is nearing. It is building up...

I swing my baton like I am possessed by the music.

Ahh, this feeling. The music is building up akin to ones ejaculation.

Boom the first movement ends.

Before playing the second movement I turn around to see the audiences reaction.

Shock... You could describe it as shock. Some had tears in their eyes. The whole audience was stunned. Good so far.

The second movement. Good no one clapped I hate it when people clap between the movements.

POV Gerogy von Velen

Is it over? No Thorus is raising his baton again.

He swings his baton and the music starts.

This time the tone is different. It is like a different theme.

POV Thorus

I reached a point where my movements become second nature. It happened after the second movement.

I reached a point where no drugs can take me.

You can call me Thorus Karajan. Somewhere in the middle I even closed my eyes.

The much quieter and calmer third movement has put me in a state of pure nostalgia.

This was a piece I listened over and over again in my old world.

Pictures of my old world appear. Sure most of the were bad. How ever there were good memories as well. One day when I was fed up with everything I ran away from home.

I took the train with no particular destination in mind.

When the train arrived at its last station I was somewhere on the coast.

I went to the beach and sat on the warm sand.

While being on the beach I listened to Beethoven's ninth symphony.

It was already getting late... I remember watching the sun set.

I was hating myself, I hated how I never was serious in life. I hated how I have never used the day to its fullest. I hated myself for wasting away at home. I hated how I envied everyone that was better looking than me.

I was thinking about suicide. I was ready to do it... When I realized what I wanted to do to myself tears welled up. I said to myself, If I can't find a reason to live before the sun rises up, I will kill myself.

Guess what. The reason was there all along. And I found it after freeing myself form all the negative thoughts.

It was the music I was listening to. It was the sun set I was watching. It was the still warm sand underneath me. It was the vast ocean. The salty fragrance hitting my nose.

It was the beauty of life that prevented me to kill myself. There is beauty in everything , like Chadera told me. Even in death there lies beauty.

I am the most hypothetical person there is. Using Beethoven's ninth symphony to preach world peace yet planning to dominate the world.

I want to see...

I want to see where this mind set will take me.

The third movement ends. I open my eyes and see that the musicians look kind of concerned.

Ah, tears? Seems like I shed some tears.

"Are you alright your highness?"

A concerned musician asks in a low voice.

"I am alright. I was just moved to tears. Let's give it our best for the final movement."

"Yes." Everyone nodded.

Looking at Raya I see a smiling girl.

"Give it your best Raya."

"Who do you think I am?"

"Hah."

I raise my baton and the final movement starts.

In the beginning you can already can hear hints of the theme of ode to joy.

After a while the part where the choir sings begins.

I give the signal to the choir and they stand up with their notes in hand.

The solo baritone begins singing.

Oh friends, not these tones!

Let us raise our voices in more

Pleasing and more joyful sounds!

Joy, beautiful spark of the gods,

Daughter of Elysium,

We enter fire imbibed,

Heavenly, thy sanctuary.

Thy magic reunites those

Whom stern custom has parted;

All men will become brothers

Under thy gentle wing.

May he who has had the fortune

To gain a true friend

And he who has won a noble wife

Join in our jubilation!

Yes, even if he calls but one soul

His own in all the world.

But he who has failed in this

Must steal away alone and in tears.

All the world's creatures

Draw joy from nature's breast;

Both the good and the evil

Follow her rose-strewn path.

She gave us kisses and wine

And a friend loyal unto death;

She gave lust for life to the lowliest,

And the Cherub stands before God.

Joyously, as his suns speed

Through Heaven's glorious order,

Hasten, Brothers, on your way,

Exulting as a knight in victory.

...

The piece comes to end.

I turn around and see an awed audience. Not one sound can be heard. Some have their booklet open, where others dropped it completely.

I see misty eyes some even weeping in silence. Some are so shocked standing with their mouth agape. Chadera has tears running down her face, she also seems stunned.

After the silence their follows a clap. The king of Velen begins clapping with vigor.

More and more people follow and the applause gets louder and louder.

"Bravoo, bravoooo." Some people shout.

Some throw their caps in the air.

Most of the people stand up and rush to the stage. Whoa, what is this reaction?

"Thorus the divine composer." One old man shouted stretching his hand towards me. I grab his hand and give him a hand shake.

Even though I look like the devil no one is scared. They see me in a complete different way.

Their eyes shine with admiration.

I shake the hands of the people and try to give my best smile without scaring them.

This was more then just fandom, they have become fanatics. A male youth went on stage and tried to hug me.

The security wanted to stop him but I gave them the signal not to.

The youth male comes with teary eyes.

After the hug he says.

"You are the god of music. I have the utmost respect. I happy to be alive to witness your greatness."

"It wasn't much. Thanks for your support."

I almost forgot about the musicians.

"Hey, how long are you going to sit their guys stand up and bow."

"Right you guys did great too."

"This was such flawless playing."

Everyone praised the musicians.

I approach Raya and give her a hug.

"Hey, what are you doing."

"I am thanking you."

I let loose and pinch her cheeks.

...

"This was truly amazing Thorus."

"Hehehe, I made a goddess cry. I am quite satisfied."

"You-"

Suddenly someone knocks on the door.

"Come in."

My parents come in but the moment they see Chadera the seemed to be frightened.

"Goddess Chadera sorry for interrupting yo-"

"There is no need come in, come in."

My father and mother where stunned but they still went in.

"So you are the parents of Thorus? Thank you for taking care of him."

"What are you saying? I must thank you for the grace you showed upon my family."

"Thorus you did it. I have nothing left to teach you, your game is too strong."

"Like father, like son." Chadera says while chuckling.

"Dear? Do you have no common sense? How can you talk such rubbish in front of our goddess."

"I-" My father really doesn't have common sense. But that's nice. Hehehe, he stays true to himself even in front of a goddess.

"Hahaha, great. You are truly a family, one can see."

Another one knocks on the door.

"Come in, come out doesn't matter at all."

The door opens and there stands a stunned king.
