[3 years later from ch 24]
"Who reach the candy store last will have pay for everyone else's candy!" A child yelled.
Six children raced from the castles' gate towards the candy store. Which was located at the market, at the center of the Yogol. The capital of a Demon Empire named, Vezul.
"Wait up!" A little boy with one horn was panting. He was the smallest and youngest of the group.
The kids were zipping through the alley ways, crowded streets, and through the public garden.
An old man sighed and said: "There they go again. Causing quite a ruckus."
The two small arachnes climbed the walls of one of the buildings and decided to jumped from one roof to the next.
A chestnut hair girl saw that and decided to cast magic on herself, increasing her speed.
A black hair, one horned girl waited for her little brother to catch up. Then a beastman girl ran past the horned girl.
Soon, everyone reached the candy store and the one-horned pair were last.
The young boy was distraught because he lost. Not only that, he dragged his older sister down with him. He was about to cry.
"Geez. Everytime you lose, you always cry. Be more like father! Accept your lose or try to get stronger!" The chestnut hair girl berated him.
One of the arachnes pulled the chestnut-hair girl's sleeve and said: "No yelling."
The chestnut-hair girl looked around the shop with everyone staring at her. She gave a bow and apologizes.
The beastman girl patted the young boy's back and said: "Come on, you are not the only one paying. We will all pay equally. Isn't that right!" Everyone agreed.
The beastman girl was the oldest of the group and felt proud to be looked like an older sister.

The one-horned girl whispered to the beastman girl's ear: "Thank you." The beastman girl's face flushed.
Back at the castle, a certain winged demon sat at a round table. He was listening to all the reports of finances, businesses, contruction, and so on.
And that winged demon was Kei. He didn't understand why he needed to be there. Everything sounds like things were going well. After listening to one last report, Kei zoomed out of the room and sought the kitchen.
Once, he was there, he saw Polin trying to cook something up.
"Hey little wifey, what you making?" Kei said. Even though he continued to call Polin, 'little wifey.' She had grown to a more fitting adult form.
"Darling! I'm trying to make this!" Polin lifted a pan and saw ... a black something.
Kei stared at the chef nearby and chef just gave a 'I don't know' face.
"You know little wifey, you don't need to cook. There's the chef right there!"
"Nooo! I want to learn how to cook. I thought you just need meat in the pan and done!"
"Hey chef, can teach her to cook?"
The chef responded: "it will be my pleasure."
Polin pouted and accepted that she needed help.

Kei then came by his bedroom. He saw Bridget writing something on the bed.
Bridget had been bedridden for the past few days. Doctors didn't know what was the caused and various healing and curing magic didn't do anything. Some speculated it was just age, Bridget was in her mid-40s. Only time could tell, but Kei really disliked seeing her like this.
So, Kei laid next to Bridget and hugged her. He kissed her head and snuggled his face with hers.
"So, what are you writing?" Kei said.

Bridget smiled and said: "An autobiography." There were papers scattered around Bridget and her fingers had ink smudges.
"Really? So, you will be writing how we met, get married, and had a child? Gonna include the steamy stuff?"
Bridget leaned her body on his. "It's not an erotica. But yes. From the moment I'm born to the most recent point in my life. I wanted to write. I wanted to write all of this. Just in case...I forget."
Kei tighten his hold on her and said: "Want some fresh air?"
"Yes. I would love that."
After Kei washed Bridget's hands and organized her papers, Kei carried Bridget.
Kei walked through the halls and on his way to pond in the backyard.
"This reminds me of our first day. You always carried me until I got better, " Bridget said.
"Yeah."

Both reached the pond and saw Vetros was also present.
"Kei. Bridget. How are you?" Vetros spoke with worry.
"I'm fine. Need to be outside once in a while," Bridget replied.
Bridget sat on Kei's lap and Vetros was only a few inches away. They began chatting about recent events and the past.
Then they heard a bunch of laughing and shouting from small children.
The noises came closer and six children ran towards Kei, Bridget, and Vetros.
The chestnut-hair girl ran towards Bridget. "Mother! Mother! Look at this from the candy store. The shopkeeper called it chocolate chip cookies! I think it will be the bestselling product. We should have our chef replica this."
"Gren, my little girl. You have such keen eyes. May I have a taste test?"
Gren, the chestnut-hair girl, furiously nodded her head.
Two small arachnes that looked similar to Vetros pressed their treats onto Vetros's face. They both said: "Try. Try."
Vetros can't avoid it and opened her mouth and allowed the treats to enter her mouth. Vetros chewed on it and continued to chew. It's very chewy and fruity. Vetros accidentally blew a bubble and it popped. Both of the small arachnes clapped in enjoyment. Vetros swallowed, whatever it was, and said: "Thank you. So nice." Vetros then kissed both of their foreheads.
The beastmen girl and the two one-horned siblings played with one of Kei's wings while telling what they been doing today.
Then Polin came with a big tray of lemonade.
Polin said: "Well... I couldn't cook. At least I made delicious lemonade!"
All the children ran towards Polin and grabbed a glass.
"Thanks mom!"
"Thank you mother Polin."
"Thanks ma!"
The children gave their thanks and Polin passed a glass to Kei and the others. Polin then sat next to Kei.
The children ran back towards their biologically mother, except for the beastman girl. She sat on Kei's lap along with Bridget, which she didn't mind.
Kei rubbed the beastmen girl's head and said: "What's the matter Kori?"
Kori shook her head and said: "It's nothing. Thank you, dad."
"Thank you for accepting me." Kei continued petting Kori's head.
Kei looked around see what a family he created. This was fine. A peaceful life was not bad.
Elen's coronation will happen soon. Maybe he should visit Eluvia? But that wouldn't be wise. Bad blood was between them.
Maybe in the future they can reconcile.
Right now, Kei wanted to basked in the sunlight, closed his eyes, and listened to the voices of his wives and children.

Author's Rant
Just a disclaimer, this is not and never will be a story. I just, noticed I have a bad habit of wanting to rant in my author's notes, and have decided that, instead of accidentally doubling the length of each chapter with the author's note alone, I will shove those long-ass rants here. It might contain spoilers for my stories, as I usually wind up ranting about different parts I'm writing. So, if you actually enjoy my rants...well, firstly, what is wrong with you? Secondly, welcome! Time to figure out what tags to stick on this. Also, as of the second chapter, I have decided to shove some of my story ideas here. So if you enjoy half-baked, unfinished stories, then I got those too. I think that adds that short story tag?
