《Death Incarnate (Completed)》War Chronicles: Besiege of Fort Caca

[Before Kei set out for the capital]
The Skeleton Generals and Kei were having a discussion of future plans within the former mayor's residence.
Without a second thought, Kei issued an order of spreading chaos and decimating the population. To be more specific, attacking military bases and massacring a good portion of the population of any dwelling, other than the Demon Race.
There was a crude map within the mayor's residence which Elen confirmed that the continent's geography, nation's border, and markers should be fairly accurate.
Kei was tapping the map with his finger on the table. Kei's destination was situated in the north corner of the continent.
"Let the horde head west until they reach the edge of the continent."
SG Katana replied, "Of course my Lord."
Finer details such as conduct on the handling of survivors, capture of livestock, looting, and so forth was decided upon. While Kei will be gone, any questions will had to be put on hold and decision making would had to decided by the Skeleton Generals' discretion. Otherwise, either Kei or a general would had to send a messenger or find a better way of communication.
The horde had spent at least a week since Kei left making siege weapons: battering rams, siege towers, and trebuchets.
After a few days of marching nonstop, their target was within sights. It was night and the three generals set up a war room within a large tent.
The 3 generals were sitting on stools, looking at a sketch of Fort Caca and it's surroundings.
They had captured scouters, patrolmen, and had gargoyles flying to observe the situation. With all the collected information, it is time to devise a plan.
G. Katana crossed his arms and stood stright like an arrow. "Hmmm... The fort is on an open plain but it's slightly elevated. There is no problem for what we prepared but..."
"The fort seemed to contact a neighboring nation for assistant. Blah! No big deal! We just have to open their damn gates and rushed in!" G. Pike blurted out.
G. Spear slapped G. Pike's skull.
"First we gonna have an open battle. Their number has increased to about 10,000. Besieging is a lot harder than you think. From the gargoyles, there seemed to be 5,000 on top of a hill. An uphill battle is a disadvantage," G. Spear explained with a nonchalant attitude.
G. Katana nodded. "But we have air superiority. All the gargoyles and liches at hand can swoop in on top of the walls to distract the archers and mages. The guards and adventurers from that town are a bunch of small fries. These guys can actual put a fight."
"Then let me take charge of battle in the field! They made have a field advantage but our mobility is nothing to laugh about!" G. Pike raised stomped his pike on the ground a few times.

G. Katana and G. Spear stared at each other, then nodded their head.
"Okay. We split in five forces. General Pike will be the vanguard and take out the outside enemy forces and reached the gate. General Katana and me will flank the fort with siege towers. The rear unit will command the trebuchets. And the aerial unit are the gargoyles and liches, they be used as distraction."
"If the trebuchets manage to collapse a wall then the nearest unit rushed in and try to open the gates if need be.
Are we in agreement?"
They came to an agreement then placed the bony hands on their chest and shout:
"FOR OUR LORD!"
[The same night in Fort Caca]
Knight-Captain Joseph and his lieutenants were also discussing in their own war room with the leader of the Runis State assistant forces, Major Kris.
There was a gloomy atmosphere and everyone present was discussing the strategies but there isn't much to do except defending.
Kris lifted his feet and landed them on the table. "You're saying the ruling noble in control of these lands are not lifting a finger?"
Joseph's face sightly darkened. "A request had been made but by the time they reach here, it's already too late."
BANG
One of the lieutenants slammed his hands on the table.
"What the hell! Those fucking nobles took too long! Our country is endangered!"
"Settle down! You have no right to badmouth nobles!" Joseph reprimanded the man.
Then were some nobles within their ranks, especially 2nd or 3rd sons who didn't have a chance to be the next head of the household. They were still of noble birth, badmouthing them equate to severe punishment. But Joseph doesn't have time worrying about this.
Kris ignored the complaining man and said towards Joseph, "Most of my men with be defending outside the wall. You realize the payment for this will be extraordinary. Their lives are precious resource afterall."
Joseph gave a frown. Hah! You don't give a damn about them! People from Runis State only have coins in their heads.
Joseph readjusted his attiude and replied: "I understand. If we win, I will contact HQ for payment, you have my word."
"Don't you worry. As long we hold out for one week, the kingdom's army will be here right?"
"Yes. The lastest messenger bird just arrived. The king and general had been informed of this matter. 50,000 men are marching here."
Joseph didn't informed Kris of the other 80,000 enemies standing by at Asul. Luckily, only 20,000 or so marched here. With 50,000 on the way, the invaders will be destroyed and marched towards the remaining 60,000. If the king can officially get assistant from Eluvia or Runis State then all for the better.
Their scouts and patrolmen were taken, which provided little details what they are dealing with. The patrolman who first saw the smoke, witnessed the destruction and only saw undead and unknown beasts from afar, then ran due to extreme fear.

Kris and Joseph shook their hands and prepared for battle the next day.
The sun was rising and the vangaurd of the horde was in an arrow formation.
G. Pike was at the foerfront and leading 5,000 raiders , 3,000 warriors, and 1,000 archers.
G. Katana and G. Spear were at the side, following behind leading their own men. The cereberus(es) were pulling the siege towers, the other beasts were in the rear until further notice, and the trebuchets were prepared to fire.
The Runis State forces (RSF) raised their shield to prepare for their attacks.
The wind was blowing over the plains, fluttering the flags of their respective nations except for the horde (they need to get their own flag).
"FIRE!" The horde's trebuchets were releasing their projectiles towards the defending army. The RSF embraced for impact of the coming stones. The RSF responded with their archers at the fort to return fire.
Both sides received a rain of arrows. The thrown stones crushed a few arrows on the way and ...
BAM!
The stones had smashed the wall! Only leaving dents but some stones had hit the outside RSF and a handful of them died from being crushed.
Arrows barely did any damage because both sides raised their shield or hide undercover.
G. Pike shouted, "FORWARD!"
Gargoyles and liches took to the sky and flew towards the fort. All forces were moving forward and the vanguard was rushing towards RSF like a comig storm.
Trebuchets were loading and firing until G. Pike were with their firing range.
G. Katana and G. Spear were marching towards the side of the fort in a curve movement.
...
...
Gargoyles and liches were attacking from the air.
"The arrows are not doing anything at the winged monster!"
"Then shot at the liches! Mages! Attack only the stone monsters!" Joseph realizes that the gargoyles are things made of stone and liches have a bit magic resistance, so he ordered his archers and mages to hit their respective targets that will give the most damage.
"Fireball!"
"Lightning Shot!"
"Earth Bullet!"
The magic attacks were taking down gargoyles and they were dropping like flies!
The liches fared better but they were being fended off!
...
...
G. Pike were closing in outside forces of RSF at the top of the hill. His skeleton horse was not slowing down and rammed through the shielded men.
G. Pike swung his pike left and right, creating an opening for his men.
"DIE!" A soldier thrusted his spear towards G. Pike.
"No, you die!"
G. Pike swatted the spear with his pike and stabbed the attacker. G. Pike's strength was strong enough to make those shielded men fly.
The raiders were charging at them and spreading out within the center of RSF, while the warriors were surrounding them.
The undead archers fired their arrows at the people on the wall relentlessly.
...
...
The gargoyles and liches were failing and time was ticking.
G. Katana has fasten his pace and had reached the wall. The seige towers were getting closer and closer.
Arrows and spells were firing at them.
The warriors' shield and G. Katana's garments were enchanted with great defense and magical defense. As soon the RSF found that their attacks were doing nothing, their focus shifted towards the towers.
G. Katana witnessed one of his towers being burned down. "Warriors helped protect the siege towers! Raiders get the ladders! Go! Go! Go!"
...
...
The trebuchets didn't destroy the walls but caused multiple casulties.
G. Spear had his ladders set up and both warriors and raiders were climbing!
The archers he brung with him were preventing the enemies to pushed the ladders off the wall.
G. Spear was in a positive mood to reached the walls before G. Katana. He decided to leaped on the shoulders of his underlings on the ladders and attacked the men on top.
...
...
Major Kris and his unit was the first within the fort once the gate was opened. Damn! Those arrows are not doing anything against those 3-headed dogs! They're getting closer with those towers! They're here! Shit! Shit! This was too fast!
BANG BANG BANG
G. Pike's unit had finished with the outside enemies and now using battering rams to break in!
The giant wooden gate were creaking!
"Men barricade the gate! Form a semi circle! Mages prepared to fire at whatever thing that gets in!
...
...
Once the gates are broken, it's already over.
Siege towers were in placed and the beasts that were at the rear came running through the gates.
Fort Caca had fallen.
Horde's casualties: estimated 5,000
No survivors or prisoners of RSF or the Chesire Kingdom's men.
The reinforment of 50,000 of Chesire Kingdom were on their way.
When they reached their destination the fort had already fallen.
And an army of 80,000 or so were waiting.
Then another battle ensued and just like their predeccessor, they had fallen.
The horde didn't come out unscathed either, they had lost about 20,000 of their own.
The horde had an overwhelming advantage in numbers but the skeleton raiders and archers, liches, gargoyles, and orthrus were lacking in the quality department. Against common soldiers and low-level magic users they won't lose but with experienced fighters and mages, they had met their match.
The Skeleton Generals had sent a lich messenger to Kei to ask for more reinforcements.
