《Death Incarnate (Completed)》Chapter 6: Little Wifey

It's a new day. The plan was to get their order from Bagit, visit the Adevnture Guild, and get the hell out of town tomorrow.
Kei had visit Bagit's Slave Trade to pick his order and there was like a wagon full of clothes! Kei didn't know clothes were so cheap or 1 gold coin was just more valuable. Not just traveler's garbs, it included dresses, cloaks, undergarments, and lingerie!
Dammit Bagit! Your taste are too refined!
Even it was more than he was expecting and other clothes he didn't ask for. Kei felt short-sighted to just order traveler's clothes. Everyday clothes and underwear for the ladies was completely forgotten by him.
As gratitude, Kei gave Bagit 5 gold coins and a bit of warning of an upcoming 'storm.'
While the havoc at the gates has caused an uproar, the group were on their way to the center of Asul. Which was a large plaza, where the Adventure Guild was located. The closer they got, the more negative reception they were receiving.
This group were so out of the norm: a winged demon carrying a disabled woman, an elf, and a half demon girl. All the girls were wearing brand new clothes and it matched them perfectly, accentuating their chest mostly. These were not traveler's clothes but Kei want them to wear at least something nice for his eyes before travelling. They were alluring that some men can't help but stare for so long.
Then everyone realized that all the girls are wearing those collars, indicating that they were slaves.
Once they realized this the public feedback turned to ugly. The public was furious at the Kei to have the audacity to show off his slaves! Some would demand to released them and be hanged for public indecency. Kei would ignore these comments since he already got used to it in his previous world. Some men would haggle at Bridget and Elen to spend the night with them and most of all - the cursing, belittling, and demeaning of Polin, a mix-breed demon.

"Digusting little imp should rot in a hole!"
"Go back in the cave with your demon master!"
"Mix-breed should be burned!"
"Halflings are unholy abomination! Someone get the preist! Get the holy knights!"
Even children insulted Polin like it's a game. This situation was no different when she was back at the village.
Polin suddenly stopped her tracks, got into a fetus position, and cover her ears. STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!
Kei was taken back by this sudden behavior. Her usual positive attitude was something he liked but the verbal abuse was too traumatizing for her. So, Kei cast an anti-sound barrier around the group.
"I FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE WHO LOVE ME! Why! Why! Aaaahhh!" Polin wailed and cried her eyes out.
When Elen saw this scene, it shook her heart a bit. Elen kneeled down and rubbed her back to calm her down. I see why she is so obsessed with this husband and wife thing.
Kei also kneeled down and wiped her tears with his hand.
"Hey little wifey, your husband is right here. If you can hear me nod your head, okay?"
After some time she finally nodded her head.
Kei took Elen's duty on rubbing her back.
"I love you Polin."
Polin's whole body shook.
"Oh my little wifey, who is so small and fagile. Why did you care so much what other people think? Does your handsome, charming husband love for you not enough? Do you not have faith in me?
Or are you not in love with me?"
Polin's whole heart shaken beyond belief. She furiously shook her head in denial. I'm...I'm a bad wife!
How can she let such insults break her down? Her husband didn't care one bit what they say! He walked like he own these streets and yet she quivered when she saw those eyes who saw her as an ugly existence. She was now making him doubt her love for him.

She became very afraid of losing something precious, someone who doesn't care if she was a mix-breed. Someone who can give her wamrth and place of belonging.
She was crying again with large tears coming out. No words can't escape her mouth to convey her feelings.
Kei smiled and patted her head.
"I know. You don't have to say anything, my little wifey. My cute, adorable, ball of sunshine wife."
Kei wiped her tears and scoopped her up with his left arm.
"Believe in me more little wifey. I'll never leave you."
Kei kissed her cheek and Polin's cheeks burned up like the sun. Polin, you're such as idiot!
Good thing Kei's new body was very tall or he wouldn't carry Bridget and Polin together.
Within the anti-sound barrier, the group resumed to their destination.
Polin tired herself out and laid her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
Just his heartbeat.
Then she feel asleep and having a happy dream.
Kei wasn't bothered with carrying a girl in each arm. Does it make him look like a king who get all the ladies?
"Elen if you're jealous, I can carry you too at a later time."
"Who wants to be carried by you!"
Seeing him carrying two girls makes her feel really embarrassed. It was stupid but a romantic way. She felt left out but she really doesn't care. She was more worrried about the future and hanging out with this guy just gave her a headache.
While this whole scene was playing out, the people were relentless. They didn't realize an anti-sound barrier was formed and they feel achieved to see the mix-breed on the ground crying. They were getting tired and quickly get back to their own buisness once they see the group resumed moving. They enjoy making others suffer even if they don't know it. The victim being a mix-breed or demon was just an excuse to let out their malice.
Don't worry I won't forget this. People like you are scum. I'm scum too but I 'm not like you who gang up on the weak. Only the coward and the pathetic gang up. They will be getting what they deserved.

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
