《Dragonic Evolution [Old]》New World Part 3.5: The Parent.

When I arrived at the nest, I saw a creature standing over the eggs, it was at least three times my size. A familiar fear was sent through my mind when I saw it. It was similar to the fear I felt in the forest… but different.
It was currently night time, the moon high in the sky, beautiful streaks of moonlight illuminated the monster. It was a giant lizard with similar body shape to me. Its scales gleamed a bright red. The creature also had a tail with the tip being incredibly sharp, compared to my dull club of a tail. Along with that, it’s horn was majestic compared to my small, slightly dull horn. The last awe-inspiring detail was that next to it was a very large deer, just as big as the giant Kobolt.
This deer-like creature had bright blue marks across its body that seemed to give a faint glow. But it's horned were incredible, being a bright blue crystal. 'NOT TIME TO ADMIRE THE DEER'. The lizard monster seemed to be everything that I wanted to be, but it was looming over my siblings. The creatures head was turning around rapidly like it was looking for something. I was not going to let it do anything to my siblings. The fear that was halting me a moment ago was replaced by an arrogant idea.
With a deep breath of air, I released the last of my pent up energy in a single roar. This wasn’t the exact same high pitched shriek. Instead, it was something that I could feel inside of my very core. It was still high pitched, still far more pathetic than I hoped. But this roar here carryed weight.
The beast looming over my siblings though was not amused at my progress as it turned to face me. From the front, this beast was even more menacing as another chill went down my spine. It began to walk towards me, slowly and steadily. It was as if it had to check something about me to make sure of something.

As it got closer the realization slowly dawned upon me. Once it was standing right in front of me, the creature bent it’s head down to face me. The terror I was feeling finally reached the point where I finally did something stupid. I roared again, right in the red-scaled lizards face I couldn't give the same level of strength my last roar had, instead this one was simply pathetic... if a human heared this they would laugh at me.
Right after I did that I thought my new life in this world was going to end. But I was wrong. The lizard sniffed me, than batted me to the ground with a. swift swipe of it's claw. 'Oi, if you're going to kill me at least don't play with me first'. Annoyed at how the lizard batted me around some more I tried roaring once again but it had no effect. The batting at the sniffing continued for a minute more, before I finally had enough.
Standing up before I was hit again I waited for the hit than moved my head to that it hit my horn. Which had no effect on this giant. Instead, it pushed me, but I stayed on my feet. Looking up, I felt a warm tongue glide across my face. That was the moment when I realized how stupid I was and let out another shrill squeak. This thing was playing with me. It was looking for something. The realization was caused when I saw it's eyes up close. They were the exact same color as mine, a deep crimson. 'This is my parent...' with a quick look down I verified something 'my mother... GOOD FOR NOTHING MOM!!! WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE GOBLIN WAS HERE'.
I let out a series of annoyed mini-roars as my mother went and eat the deer she had brought back. Still annoyed I walked back into the nest, laying down. 'Good for nothing mother... I wonder if she will be gone by the time I wake up. If so then I will have to keep staying here as long as possible'. Closing my eyes, I let the sound of tearing flesh and the feeling of warm eggs dragon, lizard things drift me off to sleep.

Dungeon Misfits
(Warning: The story is still currently in a poor quality state, read on at your own risk.) After the devastating great war, many people were left with poverty, hardship and starvation. Due to this, miscreants and mendicants were a common occurrence here. Thus at such hard times, many different kinds of desperate people would try to delve and discover various dangerous dungeons. And it was at such times, where different people and monsters converge, that various interesting stories and situations could happen. It could be about an aspiring necromancer seeking to find a place in the dungeon in order to seclude himself to his studies and research on necromancy. It could be a story of a struggling group of bandits, deserters and highwaymen using a dungeon cave as a hideout. Even about a bunch of struggling newbies adventurers stumbling in a dungeon. Or perhaps about a certain diabolist, a witch, and a rogue who are ostracised by others due to their professions, being forced to work together as a team in a dungeon. It’s the third in my own series about a human investigator in a galaxy full of aliens who are much bigger and stronger than any human. Obviously, there are plenty of spoilers for the previous two stories in here so consider yourself warned. After many successful investigations, Oscar Williams has his loyalty to his adopted alien family sorely tested. What appears to be a simple theft turns out to be anything but, and to capture the perpetrators Oscar might just have to betray his own species… Formal Disclaimer: I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only TinyPrancingHorse TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a website should you require more Smol Shenanigans in your life. Which you do, so get over there and read it.
