《Harry Potter and the Dark Phoenix [Rewritten as a new Book]》8. Privet Drive...Again

Harry slowly opened his eyes and groggily looked around. Seeing himself in his, ever too familiar bedroom in No. 4 Privet Drive, Harry sat up.
'What the hell just happened?' wondered Harry with a frown.
'One moment I'm with Fawkes and the next I'm waking up in my bed in Privet Drive which should have long since been vacated' thought Harry.
Out of habit, he reached for his glasses on the nightstand but the moment he picked it up, it snapped right in half, falling onto his bed.
'What the…was it already on the verge of breaking?' he wondered.
Harry stood up from the bed and took a step forward but was immediately hit by a wave of vertigo. Harry quickly placed a hand on the wall next to him to support himself but he felt his hand sink into the wall.
Surprised, Harry jumped back on reflex but what happened next only served to deepen his surprise.
There was a loud crashing noise as the scene in front of Harry suddenly changed. Harry shook his head and looked around trying to understand his situation.
"Why am I in the backyard?" he asked softly. Harry then looked around a little more, then continued, even more surprised, "Why am I in the neighbour's backyard!?"
In front of him, a good forty to fifty meters away, he could see No.4 Privet Drive, with a huge hole in the wall, giving him easy access to his bedroom.
'Did I just break through the wall when I took a simple step back?' thought Harry, completely dumbfounded.
'What the hell is happening to me!?' he screamed internally.
Harry tried to concentrate and look into his house and was surprised to find that he could hear what was going on inside the house as if he were standing right there.
"What in the blazes is all that noise!?" screamed his aunt, Petunia, in her usual shrill voice.
"Boy, if you're doing things you shouldn't be then you can forget food for the rest of summer!" bellowed his uncle, Vernon. Harry could almost picture the man's beefy face turning purple.
"Mom, dad…maybe he's doing…t,that stuff" whimpered his cousin, Dudley.
Harry listened to all of that, snickering quietly as he imagined their faces when they see the hole in the wall. He had already spent much too much time being under their thumbs so he was more than happy to scare them a little.
Harry looked towards the hole, keeping his concentration as it was and he felt his vision improving and he could even see into the house clearly.

Despite the fact that it was nighttime, he could see as clearly as if it were the middle of the day. He could also clearly see the inside of his room, noticing how dusty it was now made a small groan escape his mouth.
However, Harry couldn't help but wonder what was happening to his body. He was clearly so much stronger that it couldn't be compared to his previous self. A single step back had taken him over 40 meters away and he could just concentrate a little to hear and see things dozens on meters away as if he were standing right there.
Thinking about all of this, he couldn't help but feel a little excited. Confused about his situation as he was, what he did understand was that he had a strange but wonderful power.
Interrupting his thoughts, he heard the door to his room being unlocked and a beefy man walk into the room with a bat in hand. At first his face was bright red in anger but the more he surveyed the situation, the paler he became.
He saw the hole in the wall and lifted a finger, pointing at it in abject horror.
"Ah…" he groaned.
Possibly noticing his odd reaction, Harry saw two other figures walk into the room. A thin, woman with spindly arms and legs and a long neck with a horse-like face and a young boy who was so fat that it was a wonder he even fit through the door frame.
They faced the beefy man, Harry's uncle, Vernon, and started questioning him.
"What's the matter Vernon?", Petunia asked walking towards him.
Vernon kept pointing at the hole and couldn't seem to form any words. The other two, feeling puzzled, turned their attention to where he was pointing only to freeze in their place.
"M, mom…" moaned Dudley, clearly scared out of his wits. He quickly backed away only to find himself with his back to a wall, unable to move any further.
Seeing all this, Harry couldn't help but laugh and decided to scare them a little more.
He took a deep breath and then leapt towards his house, rather gently, remembering how he got to the neighbour's backyard in the first place.
Harry found himself flying through the air at a speed he wouldn't have thought possible from that gentle jump. Trying to manipulate the landing, he tried to angle his body so he would land around where the hole was.
Not having any control over his newfound strength, Harry had no idea what he was doing but somehow he managed to reach the hole, slowing down all the while. To support himself, he grabbed onto the wall at the side of the hole.

The moment he did that, he regretted it. A good chunk of the wall ripped off into his hand, making him stumble as he tried to regain his balance. However, that stumble alone managed to put a few dents into the floor.
'Man, moving around is going to be such a pain if I end up breaking everything with just a touch' thought Harry with a frown.
Shaking his head a little, Harry turned his attention towards the Dursleys and couldn't help but smirk. The smirk showed rather clearly on his face, scaring the Dursleys even more.
By now, the entire family had backed into the wall out of fear and had even lost control of their bodies. All three of them had sunk to the ground and Harry even noticed a puddle forming underneath Dudley.
"He~y! Fancy seeing you in my room!" greeted Harry cheerfully, his smirk getting wider.
Vernon Dursley was a strange man. One who would be extremely cowardly at times but at other times, he could be extremely courageous. Though some might debate it wasn't courage but stupidity.
At this moment, Vernon showed his courage (read stupidity) in this situation. Despite seeing Harry jump in through the hole, which was on the first floor and also seeing him rip a chunk off the wall with his bare hands, he still decided to make his anger noticed.
"Boy! What have you done to this room!?" he yelled, loud enough to wake the entire neighbourhood up.
"You just got the letter not to do magic outside school and that you'd be expelled and you're still pulling stuff like this!?" he yelled. His face, which was starting to turn purple in anger, quickly showed a mocking grin.
"Just wait for that crackpot school of yours to send you a letter, expelling you again!" said Vernon.
Harry was stunned hearing that. His surprise seemed to fuel Vernon's courage so he started speaking again, in the most condescending tone he could manage.
"Well, even if you do manage to get expelled from that school of maniacs, don't think we'll try to get you into one of our fine educational establishments! We can't have crazy people like you, out in society after all!" said Vernon gloatingly.
Harry, on the other hand, was stunned for a different reason instead.
'He said that I just got the letter expelling me from Hogwarts for underage magic? Isn't that what happened right before my fifth year started?' he wondered, confused.
'What really is going on? I don't get it' Harry felt a headache coming on.
Breaking away from his thoughts, Harry decided to take his frustrations out on the annoying people he was forced to call a family.
"Well, unluckily for you, all of this, was not magic. It was just normal brute force" said Harry, gesturing to the hole in the wall. Harry turned towards the Dursleys with a mocking grin.
"So, I can trash the house and everyone in it and the ministry of magic wouldn't know a single thing" said Harry. He couldn't help but smile in a cruel manner while looking at the Dursleys. Imagining all the torture they put him through over the years, everything they did to make his life miserable came crashing back. He wanted to give some of it back to them, so Harry slowly walked towards the Dursleys.
Harry couldn't help but grin widely as he imagined everything he could do to them with his new found power. Everything he could do to exact revenge on them.
However, when he saw the look of fear and despair on their faces, he couldn't help but sigh a little.
'They might have made my life hell over the years but at least they didn't try to kill me. I suppose torturing them would be a little too much' thought Harry.
'Though I should make sure to scare the crap out of them over the next few days so they won't even think about making a peep in front of me' thought Harry with a malicious grin.
Harry approached them till he was but a foot away from them and crouched down so he could look them in the eye. Harry stared right at them for several moments intensifying their fear.
"Now, now. No need to be that afraid. I don't bite" said Harry, causing the Dursleys to be even more scared.
"Haha! Well, this was fun but I'm kinda tired so could you close the door on your way out?" asked Harry, in a manner that made it clear it was more of a command than a request.
The three just nodded frantically. Vernon and Petunia shakily rose to their feet and dragged the incontinent Dudley out of the room.
"Oh, and clean this crap on the floor!" yelled Harry after them, causing a quaking Petunia to come back with a rag, clean the floor and run back out, slamming the door behind her.
