TWG 29 The Battle of Skypeak Begins
Harrstorm did not tarry any further, with a loud roar he swung his claws ripping into air, producing a high-powered wind slash!
However, as if he could predict what Harrstorm would do, Folhorn, with his ever cold glare had already whirred his two large ears to work moments before Harrstorm launched his attack. A large, whirring noise broke out and within the blink of an eye, he had entirely disappeared from his previous location rendering Harrstorm's attack in vain.
" Bang! "
A boom sounded out from the distance as Harrstorm's wind slash had crashed into a rocky hill, causing that hill to crack and fall apart.
But the perpetrator, Harrstorm did not even spare a glance at all towards that rocky hill and instead, he lifted his chin upwards, looking towards the distant horizon.
It was not known when or where exactly it started, but soon the sound of puffing winds reverberated everywhere throughout in the sky.
Shockingly, within a matter of seconds, one could see a huge amount of silver-grey clouds forming at high speed covering the light & darkness border!
" Peh, 300 years and you still haven't change your style eh? " Harrstorm spat to the ground seemingly in contempt.
But he knew better than anyone else that these clouds..are not to be underestimated.
From a glance, even mortal could tell that it seemed much denser than normal clouds and that it's colour..is strikingly similar to Folhorn's skin. It wouldn't be hard to tell that these clouds would serve as a perfect camouflage for the Sonic Beast Folhorn.
The advantages of camouflaging doesn't need to be explained any further. The 6th grade magic beast, Rainbow Humpback Chameleon for example can flourish mostly because of it's excellent ability to camouflage.
From this factor alone, one could probably understand one of the reasons why Harrstorm had chosen to attack in this rare day of bright daylight. If it was the usual dark, stormy night of Mt. Skypeak...one could imagine how significantly tougher it is to find Harrstorm under that veil of darkness.
But even all of those factors isn't the main reason why these clouds are so frightening. There was another reason, a much more frightening reason!

Harrstorm swished his draconic tail to his left, wind elementals surging towards the tip of it.
" Thousand Whips!! " He roared in draconic language.
His tail whacked towards the forming silver-grey clouds at blinding speed, whips like slashes flinging everywhere.
Once, twice, thrice...in a single second it had already released more than tens of gigantic wind whips!
But even as the whips were tearing apart every single cloud it met, the clouds were still producing itself at a higher speed.
Folhorn already had a head start advantage in the first place, adding his own production speed into play, any other beast could only watch helplessly as he create his own domain.
However, Harrstorm was not just ' any other beast ', his tail gradually become faster and faster turning illusionary.
That illusionary tail then began to create vivid afterimages. Finally, once he reached his thousandth swing, 3 more draconic tails appeared in succession!
Wind & Shadow Magic : Doppelgängers!
The usual Doppelgänger magic is a mere ' cloning ' magic that has no attacking power, but Harrstorm's doppelgängers are inherently different.
Harrstorm's tail-doppelgänger are imbued with self-sustaining wind elementals that it could actually fire off attacks!
With the new addition of tails, Harrstorm went berserk and fired off whips after whips, eventually, it's output overcame Folhorn's cloud-producing output!
Puffs and duffs reverberated in succession as the clouds got ripped apart one after another.
Within that sea of clouds..
A puffing sound can be heard traveling at high speed. It was as if there was a train in the sky, continuously puffing out puffs of smokes. But of course, it was not any magical train, but Folhorn instead and what was being puffed out was not exactly smoke..but clouds.
One of Folhorn's ears acted as an engine to puff out those clouds, at times it could be his left ear when he was making a right drift, other times it could be vice-versa.
Sonic Beasts are truly unique creatures even amongst the myriad of magic beasts on Cloudy Days Planet. They fly using their ears through sonic waves, can puff out clouds from that very ears of them and also, their most fearsome attacks originates from their very ears!
Up above Harrstorm, shrouded in his cloud domain, Folhorn who was speeding along in the sky producing cloud puffs observed his compatriot's actions.

" Child's play! " he snorted.
Folhorn lessened his velocity, his big mouth opened, inhaling big gulps of air into his body. His lung-power was so great that it was as if a small black hole had suddenly appeared to suck in everything in the sky! Only his silver-grey clouds were not affected.
But even Folhorn with his large body could not store all that air inside of him, eventually he had reached his limit of storage.
It was at that moment that he willed his entire body to press inwards! Yes, press inwards!
The pressure released from his body quickly decreased the volume of air inside of him, breaking it down into wind elementals as he took in more and more air.
A minute later, he finally stopped.
Now, this should be enough.
" Form clouds out of vapor, Wind elementals into dew, Air Magic : Cloud Forming!! "
" Bam!! " A huge outburst of cloud puffs broke out of Folhorn's mouth, the grey clouds that were lessening from Harrstorm's attacks instantly spiked up in numbers!
The silver-grey clouds swiftly expanded until it shrouded the light-darkness barrier, some of it then pummeled downwards, eventually forming a huge dome of clouds! At this moment, even Harrstorm's attacks seemed negligible.
When he saw the Dome of Clouds finalizing it's completion, Harrstorm humphed and abruptly stopped his wildly flinging tails.
" 30%..This much is enough. " He thought inwardly, retracting his tails back. Causing the 3 doppelgänger tails to disappear as well.
" Now...Are ya still gonna blow some gas up there Folhorn, Aa?! "
Silence prevailed all over this enshrouded sky. Folhorn did not answer, but Harrstorm didn't provoke him any more either.
Harrstorm stood tall in the air, his arms still crossed in front of his chest. He no longer had to do anything with his objective accomplished. Any more efforts from him would just drain his energy without producing any significant results.
Lost in thought, his eyes began to drift off into that shadowy clouds. Although Folhorn looked as if he was always cold and arrogant, Harrstorm could see a pained heart behind that arrogant figure.
He gradually remembered a long, long story from the past. The story of the Sonic Beast Folhorn..
A long time ago, Folhorn had a beloved. Her strength was limited to merely of the early 3rd realm but because of Folhorn's protection, she could fly all around Mt. Skypeak without any hardships.
However, she was a curious one. Mt. Skypeak alone cannot contain her desire to adventure.
She flew into human territories to satiate her curiosities.
But one day, a passing by army noticed her, although she was strong, an elite army from a super-class city could never be underestimated, what's more there was a 3rd realm expert guiding them too. In the end, she got caught.
When Folhorn learnt of this news, he went utterly berserk. He blasted off into the city that caught his beloved.
That city was no ordinary city either, it was one of the most powerful cities of that time, boasting 3 third realm experts; 2 warriors and 1 mage.
At that time, Folhorn was merely a relatively unknown 8th ranked beast. Although 8th ranked beasts are rare, it wasn't that rare in the summits of Mt. Skypeak.
But not even 8th ranked beasts would dare to invade a city. Perhaps a single 7th ranked warrior wouldn't be worthy of their attention, but if it was combined with a group of 2nd realm experts and an army consisting of 1st realm warriors, no 8th ranked beasts would be foolish enough to confront them.
However, that Folhorn had still done it. He silently arrived at the city and formed his cloud domain. When the people of the city noticed that something was fishy it was already too late..
In his cloud domain, no one could track Folhorn. He blasted air bombs after bombs from the clouds while those so called experts could only helplessly watch as their comrades got killed and their city became ruins.
A single beast..had managed to crush a city into rubbles. But even after all that, he Folhorn had been too late..by the time he had arrived, his beloved was long dead.
Just as Harrstorm went into remembrance, a huge tremor rose up in this dome of clouds.
The cloud domain..had finally finished forming!
