TWG Chapter 11 :
….
……
As he was walking around enjoying his stroll, Li Zun's feet suddenly came to a halt as his eyes fell on the distant.
3 little birds are currently lying on the ground, grimacing in pain. Demonic Qi permeating out of their bodies, it was clear that they had been affected by the Demonic Qi in the surroundings.
With a whoosh, Li Zun directly teleported right before the little birds.
He squatted down, face closing into the birds while at the same time, he activated his Divine Awareness.
“ Oh? These birds.. “
Li Zun’s face flashed with surprise, he furrowed his brows and spreads out his divine awareness once more to clear his suspicions.
After some time, his expression gradually returned to normal but right after, his face changed once again, flickering with hesitation.
He seemed to contemplate something for a moment before his face turned serious.
With a wave of his hand, Divine Energy brimmed out of his palm. Immediately after, the countless dots of Demonic Qi that had been attacking the little birds halted any movements.
It looked like their full attention was suddenly grabbed by the appearance of Li Zun's Divine Energy, they stayed on their positions, trembling in fright. The little dots of demonic Qi looked like it wanted to fight back, but it looked completely powerless in front of Li Zun’s Divine Energy.
The surrounding Demonic Qi also noticed this and they too, froze in place, unable to move.
Li Zun too noticed this, but he did not want to think about it now as any second he wasted, the lives of these little birds might be more in peril. With hands reaching outwards, he clenched his hand, signaling the Divine Energy to eradicate the Demonic Qi.
With a whoosh, the Divine Energy swept out, forcefully pushing out any Demonic Qi in range.
The Divine Energy is after all, the energy only Gods could wield! How could a measly Demonic Qi do anything in the face of it ?
And thus, the frozen Demonic Qi could do nothing in resistance as the Divine Energy swept them away, creating a space devoid of them.
Within the span of breaths, the Demonic Qi on the vicinity was already wiped out, chased away by the Divine Energy.
Since destroying Energy is not possible, if Li Zun wanted to clear out any Demonic Qi, he had to use his Divine Energy to “Devour” the Demonic Qi and slowly turn it into his own Energy or he had to forcefully chase them out.
But since Li Zun is a full-fledged Demigod, it means that his body is compromised of Divine Energy flowing throughout his body. Divine Energy is the complete opposite of Demonic Energy, hence, while a small amount of Demonic Qi will not cause any negative effects on him, Li Zun could potentially harm himself if he continued to ate up Demonic Qi.

This was the reason why he did not try to ‘eat’ them up, and just let it go. As time passes, the Qi will eventually disperse.
Seeing that the surrounding Qi is already wiped clean, his attention quickly reverted back to the remaining Divine Energy in his hands.
However, despite him worrying about the little birds, he did not dare rush things.
Closing his eyes, he entered a world of darkness and began to take deep breaths. In the span of 2 breaths of time, his concentration had already peaked, tuning in one with nature. Within his consciousness, everything else vanished, leaving only the Divine Energy in his palm.
1 breaths of time..2 breaths of time..
Right when he reached his 4th breath, the divine energy in his palm…began to divide itself!
*Swiish* swiish*
The Divine Energy fervently divided itself, it was not known how many times did Li Zun divided it, but eventually, he was only left with 3 strands of Divine Energy, invisible to the naked eye.
Still closing his eyes, 3 fingers rose out from Li Zun's hands as each of them linked up with a strand, controlling a strand each.
With a motion of his hand, the strands turned into a streak of light, entering the little birds’ bodies.
At this moment..Li Zun finally opened his eyes!
Eyes wide, he spreads out his Divine Awareness, focusing especially keen on the little birds.
Soundlessly, the Divine Energy strands entered each of the birds’ bodies as they began to rush after the Demonic Qi, eating up every Demonic Qi that it sees.
Probably because the Divine Strand is in a smaller size compared to the Divine energy Li Zun released a while ago, the Demonic Qi tried to rebel when it saw that it was getting “ Devoured “ by the strand.
But alas, it's level was simply too different. It's rebellion was immediately cut short when it was fully absorbed by the Divine Strand as the strand continued to speed away towards the other Demonic Qi.
With the guidance of Li Zun's Divine awareness, the strand quickly devoured every Demonic Qi on the birds’ bodies, when Li Zun confirmed that not a single particle of demonic Qi is left, he quickly willed the strand to leave the bodies of the little birds..
Only when the divine strand had left the birds’ bodies did Li Zun relax. Although he did not actually feel fatigued at all physically, but mentally ? This was probably an operation only second to using soul scour's dangerousness with his current control of Divine Energy.
Just the thought of a slight mistake, resulting in the deaths of 3 little birds would probably saddened Li Zun quite a lot. After all, although he was now in a world where killing is normal, his mentality was still an ordinary mortal in a world with rules and regulations.

Especially when he was a very kind person in nature, he could not just bear to see these little birds die when he could help them.
He let out a breathe of relief and spreads out his hands as plopped into the ground, looking up into the sky.
The sky on Floating Cloud Continent did not differ too much from Li Zun's old world. But there is indeed, a greater amount of clouds floating freely in the sky compared to the sky on his old world.
At times, this clouds could even create unique shapes or even combined together to form a massive amount of clouds in the sky, creating a very wonderful scene.
“ Perhaps this was the reason why this planet was called Cloudy Days.. “ he murmured..relaxing his whole body.
This was a usual occurrence for Li Zun. Back on his old world, he loved to travel around, admiring the wonders of nature and even exotic beasts.
Whenever he would feel lonely or fatigued, he would lay back on the ground, observing the blue sky and the white clouds.
Seeing the clouds floating freely in the sky, Li Zun had once wondered how wonderful it would be if he too, could float freely in the sky, unrestrained by the shackles of the world.
But it seems that dream turned into reality here on his second life, he is now a deity and he could fly freely into the sky, ride above the clouds and admire the sky on a different perspective..
~ ~ ~
Time passed, and soon it was dusk. The sun began to set, lighting up the sky in a vibrant orange colour.
The slight snoring sounds of Li Zun sleeping resounded through the air, accompanying it was the lively chirping sounds of birds.
This too, was also not a rare occurrence for Li Zun. During his last life, when he would be able to relax like this and confirmed that the area was safe, he would usually doze off peacefully, forgetting
The 3 little birds, who were now all better, ran around the grounds playing together playfully in the grasslands.
The 3 of them could subconsciously guessed that the man sleeping in front of them was the one who healed them when they were suffering. Hence, they did not try to leave the place and instead tried to approach him countless of times to express their happiness. But some mysterious, invisible power blocked them from coming any closer.
But even that barrier did not stop them from their curiosity towards Li Zun and not to mention that they had nothing to do anyways, so they stayed around and played while they waited for him to wake up.
They even tried to get near to him numerous times and ended up banging their heads into the barrier, and whenever one of them did, the other two would laugh heartily, resulting in the 3 of them chasing around each other.
Surrounding the sleeping Li Zun is of course, a barrier made out of Divine Energy. When he was relaxing and lazing around earlier, he had somehow predicted that he could doze off. Thus, he had already prepared 2 barriers of Divine Energy.
One was to surround him, blocking off anything within the range. Another was a much larger barrier, covering the area within where Li Zun and the 3 birds was.
If he healed the 3 little birds only for them to escape and get hurt again eventually..it is not funny right ?
He had even gone as far to use the Divine Energy to blur his face, in case the little birds will wake up before him and they went to see his face, he did not want them to be infected by the curse..
Suddenly..
The barrier that has been surrounding Li Zun swished and disappeared, signaling that he has woken up. But of course, the 3 little birds were oblivious to this, as they cannot sense the energy around them.
Accompanied by the faint rustling of the grass, Li Zun slowly raised his body up. He looked over and saw the 3 little birds playing around with each other, not noticing that he had woken up.
When he saw the 3 of them all well and lively, a surge of happiness grew in his heart. One of the reason was of course that he was happy the little birds are now fine, another is that he noticed that the larger barrier he had created had not experienced any contact from the inside, which meant that the little birds did not try to leave at all..
But whether they were waiting for Li Zun to woke up or they were too preoccupied in playing is something that Li Zun would not know for some time to come..
