Floating Cloud Continent, Mythical Beast Forest.

Mythical Beast Forest, renowned as one of Floating Cloud Continent’s 3 Danger zone, is a lair for creatures known as “ Magic Beasts “.

Magic Beasts are normal beasts that have undergone a mutation due to the Heaven and Earth Qi. The beasts that have been exposed to Heaven and Earth Qi prior to their birth would be able to tread in the path of cultivation and hence, becoming “ Magic Beasts “.

Legends even said that Magic Beasts that has stepped into the last realm of cultivation are no less intelligent than humans.

The Magic Beasts, as creatures that pursue cultivation have always been attracted to places with a dense amount of Heaven & Earth Qi, and Mythical Beast Forest is one of the densest place of Heaven-Earth Qi in Floating Cloud Continent.

The reason why Mythical Beast Forest has a very dense amount of Heaven-Earth Qi is because of a single tree. A single tree that has the power to change the entire forest, that tree is called The Earthly Oak Tree.

The Earthly Oak Tree naturally collects the Heaven-Earth Qi in it's surroundings and it also releases Heaven-Earth Qi from it’s leaves. A single tree caused thousands and millions of Magic beasts that have scattered through the entire continent to gather at the Mythical Beast Forest, one could imagine how precious the Earthly Oak Tree is.

Although millions of magic beasts have made the Mythical Beast Forest as it's lair, There were only 2 creatures that lived directly under the Earthly Oak Tree. The other creatures ? It wasn't that they did not want to live under the Oak Tree, who didn't want to ? The benefits they got by living under the tree is just incomparable to living outside of it's perimeters.It's just that one of the creatures that lived there is far far too terrifying for them.

Mythical Beast Forest Sole King – Vajra Thunder-Wolf –

A terrifying creature that with a single slash, it decimated the land. With a single roar, it frightens beasts to submission. With a single order, a thriving Kingdom will be gone. Such is the creature known as the Mythical Forest King.

Center of Mythical Beast Forest, Earthly Oak Tree.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf that resides under the covers of the tree is quietly slumbering. It's clear white snowy white fur is covered with cobalt blue stripes all the way to it's head, making it look very frightening.

Suddenly...

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf’s ears twitched, it instantly leaped and let out a huge roar !

“ Grooooooooaa !!!! “

The instant it releases it's roar, it's aura leaks out. Thunder Qi spreads out at every direction, Any trees that touches it instantly burnt and turns to ashes, only The Earthly Oak Tree could withstand it.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf turned it's head to south east, locking it's pair of blue eyes into the direction.

Moments later, 3 Huge Beasts no smaller than the Vajra Thunder-Wolf came out. Their auras compiled together are no lesser than the Vajra Thunder-Wolf !

One of the beast, an Ox like beast that stood on it’s two feet came holding a small pup in it's hand.

Any creature in the Mythical Beast Forest could recognize the small pup. It was the only offspring of the Vajra Thunder-Wolf ! Hence, no creature dared to make advances against it.

But the bipedal Ox does not originate from The Mythical Beast Forest !

Any one looking at this situation could tell that the bipedal Ox intends to make the Mythical Beast Forest as it's lair. After all, at their level, those beasts are no less intelligent than humans !

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf growled at the Ox, it knew it had been too careless. Although creatures wouldn't dare to defy him, but it was only because of his overwhelming strength ! If any outside power came to invade the forest and rally against him than it may be possible.

The Bipedal Ox snickered, it's facial expression looked very much like a human. It kept swinging around the poor little pup. Although the bipedal Ox is a bit weaker than the Vajra Thunder-Wolf, with the 2 other strong creature behind him, it wasn't that much of a difference, especially after he had caught the Wolf’s only offspring. No matter how one looked, the situation seems very good for the Ox.

The stalemate between the two sides was suddenly broken by the Ox. It threw the little pup up in the air and prepared to hit it with all it's might.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf knew what the ox was planning. But still, it had to move ! It had to move and save it's only child !

“ Bang !!! “

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf instantly moved in front of the little pup, blocking the attack from the Ox using it’s body.

The instant the Vajra Thunder-Wolf was hit by the Ox, the other 2 creatures behind the ox, one bull like and the one snake immediately launched towards the Vajra Thunder-Wolf, hitting it with all their mights, causing the injuries of the Wolf to immediately worsen by a lot.

" Graoooooooo !! “ The Vajra Thunder-Wolf growled in pain. Blood spread out from it's horrible wounds, some even splashed to the little pup behind it. Judging by the wounds it received, it wouldn't have much longer to live.

“ Aooo !! “ The little pup could only howl in sadness. It thoroughly lacked the power to help his father.

The Ox snickered, it looked like everything was going as it planned.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf was indeed not any normal beast though, it quickly recovered in the air and charged it's Qi to the utmost.

“ Swuuuun !! “ A Shrill scream came out from the Thunder Qi the Vajra Thunder-Wolf blasted. It went all up to the sky as if it was striking the heavens.

“ Graaaaaoooooooouuu !! “ A mad shriek comes out of the Vajra Thunder-Wolf, the Qi it blasted, strikes the clouds and in just a moment, the clouds turned deep black, and thunder rolled.

The Ox’s face immediately changed after seeing it. It knew of the Vajra Wolf’s ability but it didn't expect for it to come out so early !

In his heart, the Bipedal Ox knew what was coming, the Vajra Thunder-Wolf’s innate bloodline skill.【Vajra Thunderstorm 】

All of this took an amount of time to describe, but in actuality it happened in a split moment.

The Bipedal Ox immediately braced itself and used both of it's arms to block the incoming blow.

“ BANG !!!!!!! “

A Shrill Thunder strike down to the earth. Not long after, countless amount of thunder followed the first, immediately creating a thunderstorm in the field.

The Thunderstorms immediately caused a clear havoc in the forest, all the other beasts that was unlucky enough to be caught up in the thunderstorm are burnt to crisp.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf however, cannot relax. Although it would be safe from the thunderstorms, the same could not be said for his little pup.

It immediately bitted softly the little pup and prepared to throw it far away, hoping for it to have a chance to survive. After the damage it took from the 3 beasts, it knew it was going to die today. So why not go all out anyway ?

But it's only regret was that it couldn't see it's little pup growing to a mighty beast in the future, it might even die and followed him to the netherworld after this.

But at that moment…

Under the Earthly Oak Tree, clusters of light are shining and gathering.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf was bewildered, it have lived under the Earthly Oak Tree for countless of years, yet it have never seen a phenomenon like this.

But with it's clear eyes, it could see that somehow the thunder from the thunderstorms seemed to avoid that cluster of light. As if a divine being calmly watching under the rain of storms.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf instinctively knew. Whatever that light is, if it placed the little pup there, it will surely have a larger percentage of surviving rather than throwing it out to the wild.

After all, all the creatures in the forest knew the little pup. After he, The Vajra Thunder-Wolf was gone who wouldn't say that there would be beasts waiting to take revenge upon it ?

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf immediately decided to throw the little pup towards the light. Whatever the light is, it hoped that it could keep it's little pup safe.

“ Waao ! “ The little pup growled in pain, it's body covered with wounds. However, it does even seemed to mind it's wounds, and instead howled at it's father.

Although the little pup is still very young, it instinctively knew that today, his father would likely be gone. But what can it do ? It's power is far too weak, even though he was the offspring of the Great King Of Mythical Beast Forest, right now he was no different than a burden to his father.

To feel weak may hurt one, but to be someone's burden will make one feel even worse.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf after confirming that his son stayed put around that light, it immediately looked relieved, as if a heavy burden is lifted off from him.

His child was one thing, and the battle was another thing. Now that the problems about his little pup it resolved, it locked it's deep blue eyes on the 3 creatures.

A series of of explosions could be heard as thunder strikes at the 3 of them. Although the storm could not focus on an area to hit 100%, it could still focus on a target to hit at least half of the thunderstorms.

A massive boom rang out as three huge thunder blasted down towards the ox, bull and snake. It looked like the thunderstorm is reaching it's final blast.

“ Bang !! “ The bull and the snake which are holding on to the thunderstorms couldn't hold out anymore and are shocked to crisp.

The Bipedal Ox is a little bit better than the two, although it's black ferocious face looked somewhat pale in color.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf, didn't let this chance go. It gritted it's ferocious teeth which is sparking thunder Qi and bitted the Ox’s shoulders to ashes.

“ MOOOOH !!! “ The Bipedal Ox screamed in pain, it didn't expect for the Vajra Wolf to return so quickly. After all, all of this took an amount of time to describe, but in actuality it happened in less than 7 breaths of time !!.

The Vajra Thunder-Wolf, looked very determined, it wasn't willing to let the Ox go. It gripped it's sharp claws and stabbed it into the Ox’s abdomens, sending thunder Qi once more through the claws.

“ MOOOOOOO !!! “ The Bipedal Ox let out another, huge shrill scream. This time, it finally looked like it too, is reaching it's end.

But at that moment..the Vajra Thunder-Wolf finally could not hold on any longer and it's grip loosened. And the Ox managed to barely survive.

At it's last moments it send a glance to it's little pup which was already breaking down in tears. Then it took another glance at the light. At it's last moments it could somehow make up a figure out of the bundled lights. It smiled and as if it knew the light was alive, it sent a look of gratitude towards it and closed it's eyes, rewinding it's memories. From the day it was born to the day it became the king of the forest to the day he was gifted a child, to the day his partner had died..leaving him alone with his pup.

At it's last moments, the Vajra Thunder-Wolf felt very peaceful. As if the battle before didn't happen at all…

Finally, The King Of Mythical Beast Forest, Vajra Thunder-Wolf breathed it's last.

The Bipedal Ox, who somehow had survived albeit with heavy injuries looked towards the Earthly Oak Tree.

It felt very conflicted, although it had managed to win against the Vajra Thunder-Wolf, it had suffered terrible injuries that may not heal for months.

In that span amount of time, who knew if any other wandering beast will kill him in his weakened state.

It felt very angered and regret, if he knew that the Vajra Thunder-Wolf would be this ferocious, it wouldn't have dared to make an attack at all. It just does not benefit him.

It knew that it too, would probably die today too. After all, the injuries it suffered is far too serious. Any half-strong beast that wandered into the Oak Tree after staying far away from the battle awhile ago wouldn't hesitate to kill him in one go.

It's pair of yellow eyes wandered around the tree, and it finally fell upon the little pup.

The little pup, sensing the Ox’s gaze, didn't back down at all. It Instead stared back at it with eyes full of hatred and revenge.

The Ox felt anger well up. Now even the little pup dared to retort against him ?!

The Ox decided. Today wether or nor he will die, he would drag this little pup too with him.

Alas, the Ox's eyes was blinded with revenge, it did not even spare a glance towards the lights clustering with even more vigor since the battle.

It dragged it's heavily injured body towards the little pup. The little pup, which was already weakened and bruised with injuries all over it's body was held up in the Ox's fist.

But suddenly…

The Bipedal Ox’s sense immediately sensed terrifying danger. It immediately looked around, but it does not find anything. Still, just by the terrifying aura it sensed, the owner of the aura is at least a hundred times stronger than him or the Vajra Thunder-Wolf !

It became gobsmacked, just what is that aura ?!

* Splashh* Before the Ox could discover the source of the aura, it suddenly felt it's vision go black. It's body torn to pieces by the lights that were clustering violently awhile ago, it's blood splattered to tiny particles, it was as if the Ox had not existed.

By now, that light has formed to a human figure. The figure took the little pup in it's hands that have long ago fell unconscious. It is admirable to think that this little pup dared to stare back at the Ox just now, even if it was heavily injured.

The light gradually dissipated, forming a young human in his teens with golden & a trace of black, long hair. His facial features looked very charming, albeit his face that was filled with grief and a sense of loneliness somehow hindered his charm.

Yes, that man was none other than Li Zun !
