Bob let out a sigh of relief.
[ The God(ess) of [ Boredom ] has sent you a message via System. ]
[ View message? ]
Bob, having just somehow fixed the out-of-control sand skimmer, which proved his theory that he had been ripped off by Old Man Thompson, was in a fairly decent mood, so he accepted.
[ Bob, I am not in a good mood. ]
[ You have failed me, over and over. ]
[ First of all, you died 17 times in the past week. ]
[ Second, you have successfully gotten ripped off in almost every deal you made. ]
[ And finally, I had to waste my turn in the Meeting of the Gods this week to fix that stupid boat of yours. ]
Bob winced and wondered why the God of Boredom didn't sound angry.
[ Do you have any idea how expensive a resurrection is? ]
Bob groaned as realization hit him in the face.
[ I will be looking forward to your paying back your debt in full once you ascend to become a god. ]
Bob sighed in resignation as he thought about the impending doom that awaited him when he finally became a god.
He wondered where he would get the coins from.

Bob cursed the God of Luck.
Though he had more luck points now, he had a feeling that the God of Luck did this on purpose as a form of revenge.
As for what it was for, he would probably never find out.
Bob looked in front of him, at the village, and behind him, at the boat, which had somehow broken down a couple of miles away from the village.
He also couldn't expend luck points to fix the boat, as the thing was in danger of falling apart since the first time he hit a big rock and so he barely gained any minor karma points from the boat breaking down, which was an unfortunate and very probable event.

Bob sighed and trudged forward.

In the throne room of the gods...
The God of Luck was laughing hysterically.
"Oh, come on, Luck, what did he ever do to you?"
The God of Luck kept laughing and didn't bother to reply.
Everyone kept watching as Bob trudged through the sand, cursing the God of Luck.
* * *
After what seemed to be a few hours, Bob finally arrived at the village.
He silently cursed the God of Luck again as he walked in, heading towards the massive factory that had to be the parchment-making place that the village was famous for.
* * *
Bob walked through the massive factory's doors.
The first thing he saw was the massive amount of high-quality parchment being sold within.
His jaw dropped.
The second thing he saw was the massive amount of coins that the parchment was being sold for.
Bob's jaw dropped further, and he felt an impending sense of doom.
"Hello, Sir!"
"How can I help you?"
"Erm..."
"I was just leaving."
* * *
As Bob left the massive factory, he sighed and decided that he would give up on trying to sell maps and would become an adventurer instead.
If Bob had actually bought the parchment, he would have made a loss, since high quality parchment sold for more than maps made of high quality parchment did.
After all, high quality parchment could be used to make better things than maps.
Bob sighed again, in case anyone wasn't listening the first time, and walked out of the village and into the forest that was seperating the village from the city with an adventuring guild.

Robinson Crusoe (Completed)
Robinson Crusoe is a novel by Daniel Defoe, first published on 25 April 1719. The first edition credited the work's protagonist Robinson Crusoe as its author, leading many readers to believe he was a real person and the book a travelogue of true incidents. Epistolary, confessional, and didactic in form, the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)-a castaway who spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued.

Black Sheep's Freedom
A group of youths is transported to another world governed by a [System]. Their future now lies at a crossroads. For survival, for power, for a way home, a path must be chosen. Will they grasp the inviting hand? Will they set forth unaided, unshackled? Yet the most important choice, however, is where to place their faith. The false worshippers? The oddball in their midst? Or themselves? For free will is precious and the die only rolls once. ----- This is a tale of how a [System] died, but don't tell people that, it is kind of a big spoiler. Although, it is implied from the first few chapters, so it might not be that big of a deal? ----- I'm a novice at writing and the story might have plotholes due to lack of careful planning, but I hope you readers will enjoy the journey as I do enjoy writing this. Not very familiar with the tagging system, so I'm going to take suggestions other than the ones I checked myself, thank you! Updates will be on Monday and Thursday each week. UTC +7
