In the meeting place of the gods...
Seeing that most of the gods and goddesses of the planet enam tenalp had already showed up, Boredom decided that it was time to start the weekly meeting of gods.
"All right, everyone, I'm sure I don't have to explain the rules to any of you, since we do this every week, but let's just get started."
The crowd, despite being gods and goddesses, cheered when they heard that.
"Luck, give me the die."
The God of Luck gave Boredom a 213 sided die; there were 213 gods and goddesses in the room.
"Roll."
The die rolled a 17.
The God of Mirages stepped up.
"I'll see if there are any decent souls from Earth waiting to reincarnate."
The God of Mirages scrolled through the list.
"Ah, here's one. I lay claim on Dorian Estabion. I'll spawn him in the illusi kingdom."
The Goddess of Earth rolled her eyes.
"What? I need anther elite."
"Another illusion mage? Why don't you just expand your kingdom instead?"
The God of Wind chuckled.
"You do know that an army of those blockheads of yours wouldn't even be able to take down one illusion mage, right?"
"Well, easy for you to say, your airhead venti and wind mages couldn't take down an illusion mage if they all banded together!"
"The wind warriors are very-"
"Enough of your bickering! Luck, roll the dice!"
The die had turned from a 213 faced die into a 212 faced one.
Luck rolled the die.
He got a 173.
Luck frowned.
"God of Cheaters."
"He's banned this century, remember? Go again."
A dark silhouette appeared out of nowhere and cackled.
"Who cares if I'm banned?!"
"I claim Estabion tali-"
"God of Chaos, take your minion away!"

The God of Chaos chuckled and waved his hand.
A vortex opened out of nowhere and started sucking the God of Cheaters in.
"But, Master-"
Before he could finish speaking, the crazy clown disappeared.
The die rolled a 1.
"Finally!"
The God of Boredom looked at the map.
He looked at the little figure that represented Bob, in his out-of-control sand skimmer.
He sighed.
"I..."
"repair and improve my stupid minion's boat."
Everyone laughed.
When the laugher finally quieted down, the God of Luck rolled the die again.
"A 3."
"Chaos, you're up."
The God of Chaos chuckled as he scrolled through the list.
"I choose Derek Milestimia."
"The gunsmith?"
"The gunsmith."
"I'll spawn him in the Iron Kingdom."
The God of Luck rolled his die again.
He got a 2.
The God of Order was up.
"I'll send one of my Valkyries of Order into the Iron Kingdom. He'll be sent back onto the waiting list."
"Hey, Why?!"
"This world isn't ready for guns yet."
The God of Chaos grumbled while Luck rolled his die again.
"You know, I really think we should have the minor gods excluded in this."
He rolled a 187.
Everyone groaned.
The God of Rants was up.
"Hello, it's finally my turn!"
"Hrm... Should I introduce more knowledge to the world or not?"
The Goddess of Knowledge sighed and sat back on her throne, ignoring the glares the other gods and goddesses gave her.
"I Think this world is still sorely lacking in astronomy! I used to be an astronomer as well as an astrologer, and although I was the best there was, the 2nd one to me was a total idiot! I was the one who invented telescopes, even though Knowledge showed me how, and the great inventions of this world were all introduced by knowledge!

I hate us having to waste a turn every time a meteor flies towards the planet, so I guess I'll just choose an astronomer from Earth! Why, you ask? The astrologers there are all insane cultists and so I think it would be best to get an astronomer over! That way, they can use the patterns of the stars to accurately predict the outcomes of certain events, as well as spread their knowledge of astronomy to this sorely lacking planet! It's a great idea, I tell you! A great idea! So I choose to claim Chong Li and send him to the Kingdom of Knowledge!"
Everyone sighed in relief, as this was only a third of the size of the God of Rant's usual rants.
And so commenced the weekly meeting of gods.

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
