《NEET Re:Quest High School》Chapter 13: The Evening Quest Completion

As their new phones buzzed and were later both picked up and peaked upon, the two colder ones and the embarrassed began to change bit by bit. Airi and Kayano had shifted from a cold one to a rather very easily friendly see through one. While on the other hand Yui tried her best to be less embarrassed by the entire endeavour and put on a less fazed one while attempting a courageous one on top. Sora felt an amounting pressure surging towards him, like as if he was diminished and the other females around him grew in since with their newly generated and threatening aura.
“If I had a teleportation scroll, I would head back to town and reset this for sure,” Sora thought to himself, quietly laughing amidst the newfound chaos.
“Sora, are you perhaps free this evening?” Airi asked with an obvious over friendly smile across her pained expression.
Airi was filled with the overbearing feeling of even asking Sora something in this fashion, every word except his very own name, Sora knew it was a pure burden and effort to mutter the words “are, you, perhaps, free, this, evening”.
“What is the punishment?” Sora smiled cunningly while toying with the idea that he held Airi’s fate in his own hands.
Airi gulped and hesitated a brief moment.
“Not telling you,” Airi muttered in a lower tone.
Sora leaned to his side and approached Airi who desperately tried to shelter and face away from him.
“Come on, you can tell me, it will be our little secret,” Sora whispered softly in her left ear.
“Never!” Airi shrieked, and was clearly taken by surprise by Sora’s actions.
Airi considered it quietly while Kayano and Yui could just not help themselves but watch how this would unfold from a spectator’s point of view. Airi then decided to lean in and give in the details.
“If I were to fail to accompany Sora this evening, a punishment would be fit in the way of me spending one night at boy’s dormitory,” Airi whispered in Sora’s right ear.
Sora bursted out in a loud laughter while Airi turned red.
“What?” Airi complained.
“Nothing, nothing, really,” Sora laughed. “It is just, they are probably more afraid of you, than you are of them!” Sora added and continued to laugh at Airi’s response.
“Doubt it, I do not trust any of the boys, and why risk it when I have no idea what could or will happen?” Airi furthered her complaint.
“I take it the two of you have the same punishment?” Sora turned to Kayano and Yui.

Kayano was pouting and refused to answer, while Yui kept her embarrassment sheltered behind her bangs and made a slight nod.
“Alright, see you guys around six after school,” Sora yelled behind his shoulder and scurried away swiftly from the school cafeteria. “By the way, Airi, dress up nicely for me, will you not?” Sora smiled when he turned around slightly and head out laughing quietly to himself, hence the image of a flustered Airi left him in good spirits.
On his way out through the corridor, time seemed to dissipate quickly by and the last lesson was over relatively quickly. Making his way to the dorm unaccompanied by Kazuya or Negi, thus they would just relentlessly barrage him with a bunch of questions, Sora thought about what a boy could possibly be doing with three ladies accompanying one evening.
“Gaming? Would be nice, but do not think so. Eating something? Nah too early and ate like a few hours ago. A long nice talk, well at least I can open with that as a joke,” Sora laughed aloud considering the options surrounding the evening laid ahead of him.
In front of him laid the door to his apartment. Plain and simple. A bed to the left, a desk and a drawer to the right. A window to the front and a bathroom to the right as you come in, an apartment could not be any simpler. Sora got a change of clothes and slipped out of his uniform and headed in for a quick shower before he headed out to meet them at the rendezvous point, the entrance to the school. Like always, Airi was there, standing with her arms crossed, slowly ticking two of her fingers in order to release the frustration of this situation.
“Still flustered?” Sora yelled from a distance.
“No,” Airi childishly stuck her tongue out.
Yui and Kayano stood next to the right pillar of the entrance.
“Nice, Yui looking cute as always. Real winner in cashion clothes, and Kayano you do not look half bad either,” Sora complimented them with a smile. “Where are we heading by the way?” Sora asked.
“Second floor, to the outer garden,” Yui stuttered fazed by the compliment.
“We brought a small picnic to enjoy,” Kayano held up a picnic basket. “Our princess made it along with Airi after you left,” Kayano pointed out.
“Really?” Sora stared at Airi. “Well thanks,” Sora smiled to Yui and Airi.
“Do not take me for a commoner, I know basic culinary science,” Airi stated more flustered than ever.
“Sure, sure,” Sora grinned his teeth while heading on in.

Making it to the second floor, the corridors seemed longer with the unsettling silence between them. Only small chattering between Yui and Kayano was heard from Sora’s back who took the lead with Airi following closely behind. A few minutes later Sora stood in front of the balcony garden and realized the school appeared to be more elevated than this being a second floor, as it was wide enough to space an entire football stadium by its size when you took a closer look at it. Sora slightly shivered both by excitement, and a slight fear of the possibility that something might be out there considering its area space while he opened the door to the balcony. The view was astounding, there were night lights amidst the entire garden so one could not possibly be going astray on their own or trample any of the delicate flowers around the entirety of the garden.
“Wow,” Sora said baffled by the view.
“It is quite something, we got to experience it during our early summer here,” Airi said.
“Early summer?” Sora questioned.
“All girls spent the summer here for two weeks, seemingly as it is a new establishment under a large and popular school abroad with incredible reputation. We got to witness it first hand and its offers, only to be taken lightly and fooled by the trespassing of NEET males,” Airi explained and then went on to add a harsh realistic remark from a girl’s point of view on the situation.
“All of us are not that bad,” Sora sighed.
“Shall we dine here?” Airi suggested a spot on a grassy area.
Yui and Kayano nodded and laid out a picnic blanket.
“Fancy, both the blanket and the suggest dining,” Sora smiled.
Airi shrugged off Sora’s sarcastic remark of the dining to make it seem high class. They all sat down and opened the picnic basket. It was full with sandwiches and diet coke, underneath there seemed to be an additional container.
“Wow,” Sora thought baffled yet another time.
There were another lair to keep the miso soup warm, and then a separate one to chill some sushi afterwards.
“This is one advanced picnic basket,” Sora looked at the basket.
All three girls engaged into a laughter.
“Have you seriously never seen one of the newer versions?” Kayano laughed.
“No?” Sora pouted a bit.
“Of course, why would you even ask that of a NEET?” Airi added.
The picnic “dining” quiet down a bit, and all three began to discuss slightly about complaints on the exams and how unfathomable Sora’s character was, a carefree guy held the top score on two consecutive exams without any flaws. Sora shared the story he had told Airi about his past in a less detailed and complicated metaphoric manner. Before the three of them knew it, the evening was close to becoming night time.
“Look,” Yui excitingly pointed at the stars and pulled the group’s attention.
The fragrance and the view felt fulfilling and truly enriched the entire situation and their surroundings.
“I must say, real life is not too bad,” Sora gritted his teeth.
“Real life… You are really weird,” Airi sighed which made Yui laugh uncontrollably and then after a brief moment being yet another time embarrassed.
Sora noticed the girls began to gasp slightly and thought “they must be tired spending all this time around a guy, think I am going to excuse myself early”. Just as the thought had passed their phones buzzed and it turned the entrancing and tranquil situation to one with unrest in the air. Sora pulled out his phone and read the tab.
Informational Tab: “A school camp will be held next week for two days and three nights, look forward for some fun questing if you are a guy, and girls beware of the quests of the night!”
A slight cracked laugh came from Sora when he looked up and found two glaring and intenses gazes from Kayano and Airi at him. Yui kept her usual fazed expression, however it seemed to overthink the implications what the quest meant, and if innocent Yui had the wrong idea of what it could imply, it would probably be stand true.
“Well I have had a lovely time spending this more than lovely evening with you guys, I am going to excuse myself now,” Sora stuck to his cracked laugh character for this situation and stepped backwards laughing until he had reached the door handle.
Sora attempted to open the door with the three of them still looking at him, “come on door, show me some love”. However the door failed to open and after a few attempts Sora gulped.
“Hey guys, I have some more bad news, does this door possibly open only from the inside?” Sora laughed keeping true to his newly created character since the informational tab had appeared on their phones.
The intense faces dropped the pale ones, hence the realization of this new forming situation was more terrifying of camping outside in the garden than the one of going to a school camp.

“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. "My throat became dry; my tongue felt like sandpaper scraping against the top of my mouth. My mind became fuzzy. I had no chance of survival against this, this thing, and It was toying with me. It seemed to see the fear in my eyes and laughed, the metal sounding voice screeching like nails on a chalkboard. " I wrote this when I was young, and I haven't touched it since 2019, so don't worry about it.
