Slade PoV

The light in the chamber was originating from the huge crystal that was situated on above the throne. The huge crystal at least 2 meters in diameter was glowing red brightly. The feeling of tremendous amounts of mana swirling around the entire area. Looking out the balcony i remembered a scene from a bit over two years ago. Over the Cathedral of the our church this same magic formation appeared and caused a huge swirl of commotion after the two babies appeared.

Slade: someone is being exiled from the underworld.

Hugh: This thing. Its just like 2 years ago.

Slade: yes the same happened when Baal and Lilian appeared but this time its only the red circle which means its only from the demon world.

Suddenly a series of smaller circles appeared within the throne room.

Slade: Everyone get back now.

From within the group of circles a ball of red light appeared and slowly started to take shape. After a bit a shape of a man appeared. He was human sized at 175 cm but he had ash grey hair and pale white skin. His build was lead but he was ragged and beaten. He also had large horns of a demon on his head show he was of the demon race but he had no other feature of a normal demon.

Slade: This man is powerful, he has a transformation ability most certainly. From the looks of it he was beaten and left to weaken to make it easier to exile him

As the man touched the ground he couldn't support himself and fell over and after a few seconds his head raised and his eyes opened looking at use before he fainted.

Slade: someone get a medic. NOW!!!

Hugh: This is big how should we proceed?

Slade: We don't know much about him so put a magic restraint bracelet on him and take heal him. He is a regular demon so healing magic will hurt him more then heal so use first aid for now and make a structure for us to take him out of here. Everyone we will be staying here at the castle for a while until this demon wakes up.

I got closer to Baal and Lilian.

Slade: Baal go and remove the core from the boss you can have it. It will probably cause you to rank up. Lilian get the horn and some of the meat off him eating a powerful creature will help you as well.

Baal: what will happen to him?

Slade: for now we will need to treat him. He was beaten up badly most likely by your father the demon lord. Until we can determine if he is non aggressive we will keep his mana restrained.

Lilian: and her?

Slade: she is free to walk and talk and do as she pleases as long as she isn’t aggressive to us without reason.

I said that out loud to make sure she heard it. She nodded my way and waited their. With first aid done I soon have the men move him out and into the demon bosses chamber, which smell horrible.

We open windows to let the smell out and begin cleaning the place of trash until it the smell is gone.

Slade: i really don't know how you survived them.

Lona: I got used to it a long time ago. I always tried cleaning but it would get like this the very next day after i clean up. Can you please tell me why is the child of a royal demon within your group

Slade: hmm you can tell huh. Well just like him he was exiled but the boy was sent as a baby and our goddess told us to take care of him and gave him a human form. The same for the girl, she is the daughter of the strongest god and was born a lesser fallen angel, the boy is son of the demon lord but was born an imp by misfortune of the god of evolution.

Lona: I’ve heard of him. He is the god that governs the rank ups of all beings. When he slumbers the possibility of ranking up is small and when he wakes up he unconsciously curses many beings but they also have the greatest potential to rank up.

Slade: you are quite the smart brute you know.

Lona: try checking out the castles library once in a while the place has many books and are mostly untouched since brutes don’t care for books. I became what i am because i read them.

Slade: heh I might just do that while we wait for him to wake up.

Lona: also are you really going to let that boy eat the core of the boss and the girl the horns?

Slade: yes we want them to grow strong enough to protect themselves. They boy is a high imp but he can still be easily hunted by those who don't care about the consequences.

Lona: he seems interesting I must say, never met such a unique child, i’ve been in the town outside a few times but i never encountered a demon so cheerful like him.

Slade: that is thanks to his adoptive mother who raised him like a human child and not a demon.

They both looked into the bosses chamber where the boss was laying being butchered. Lilian was sawing away at the huge thick horns on the head after gathering the broken horn while Baal was wondering how he would open the head. He then picked up his scythe and coated it with mana and slashed at the head but the hit just bounced off.

Baal: AHHH the hide is too strong.

Lona: let me help the kid he is to weak to even scratch that hide.

She walked into the room while i headed to the bed chamber.

Baal PoV

Ahhh! This is so annoying this guys skin is to hard what is he made out of steel. I can't even scratch the skin around his head or neck.

I see some of the paladins laughing as they see me strike at the body while Lilian tries to cut the other horn off.

???: need help prince and princess?

I look back and see Lona behind me smiling.

Lilian: who are you calling a princess?

Lona: you of course daughter of the king of the gods and the prince is your brother the son of the demon lord.

Baal: tch that old man must have told her.

Lona: its not nice to call him old man especially when he is such a person of high position.

Baal: we consider him an uncle instead of some high ranked priest. Anyway can you help me get the core out of this guys thick skull its to hard for me to cut.

Lilian: help me get this horn out its even harder then the skin. I have no idea how Hugh cut the first one off.

Lona started laughing hearing us ask for help. She pulled up her two daggers and as we looked at it he noticed things unnatural to a blade.

Baal: hey what is that dagger. It looks strange.

Lona: oh this it happened when I ranked up into a green brute. My old body which was a lesser brute became my weapon. The weapons of the other brutes are the same thing.

Baal: do all demons do that.

Lona: hmm not that i know of but i’m sure a few do. I think those weapons you use are weapons made from the bodies of their users. They only work for the residence of the same world of origin as them so these daggers of mine will only show their true strength to another demon. The girls staff i think is the same but its hard to say since i’m a demon and not an angel.

Baal: Wow thats so cool. But how did you make it metal?

Lona: who knows we have minerals in our bodies maybe its those not like i would know what made my weapon like this, only the god of evolution knows. Anyways lets get this trash cut up.

She walks to the boss and hold the horn at the tip and with a single swift swing down near the base of the horn it cuts right through it.

Lilian: wow it went right through it like a hot knife through butter.

Lona: I pride myself in my daggers sharpness its what makes up my lack of strength compared to the other brutes.

She then takes the sword and cuts the head in half and after rummaging in the head a bit she pulled out a large crystal that glowed many bright colors and handed it to me.

Baal: wow this crystal is huge! The high Imp crystal i ate before wasn’t even bigger than my fists.

Lona: of course this crystal is from a royal demon. The only crystals that wouldn’t be this big would be from human sized demons like that man that was exiled and i bet he has a demon form he can transform into.

Lilian: what kind of demon is he anyway?

Lona: i don't know, i’ve only known trolls and brutes most my life and the villagers outside never told me their race so i dont know.

Baal: are you going to eat some of him to rank up as well?

She smiled and nodded.

Lona: I’ll probably turn into a Variant Oni or rare species. As for you as an Imp look forward to your rank up because an Imp can have a wide variety of forms it can rank up to. Now what would be interesting is giving this guy to your pets that would cause a great amount of power to grow for sure.

She looked to the side and when we looked we spotted a group of animals eyeing the huge demon that was being dismembered. Looking around i spotted the commander coming in.

Baal: Hey commander Hugh can we give some of the bosses body to our companions Lona says they will rank up if they eat it.

Hugh: I checked them today. The small ones will rank up today into lower demons while your companions will probably grow up a notch as well. Tomorrow we feed them some after that they will probably get really powerful.

He crouches close before continuing.

Hugh: i’m more curious about you two then your companions.

He winks and leaves smiling.

With our part of the prize taken we head to our tents which had been set up at the room with the stairs on the 9th floor.

Lilian went with Lona to a corner and with her help and using a club from on of the brutes they began crushing the horn into small pieces which she gathered and began eating away like eating a small snack.

For me on the other hand I had Lona cut the core crystal into smaller pieces like an apple and swallowed the pieces one by one. I would say it was painful since they were still large pieces to eat in one go but i cant complain. There were 8 pieces she cut them into. I ate 2 of them and reached level 100 so stopped. I was already tired even if it was early. I spotted Lilian already in bed with Plum and Kumi next to her. I spotted the small bowl with the horn shards in them a bit more than half full. As i jumped into bed i felt the darkness of the dream world overtake me only to see a few messages appear.

I push the Variant one before falling completely asleep.

Lona PoV

It was night time already and most of the people were already asleep. I was walking around when i noticed the camp of the Commander and bishop was still lit and both were still sitting around it so i walked over.

Lona: long day boys.

Slade: hmm oh its you. I heard from the paladins you helped the kids get their keep from the Oni.

Lona: yep it was interesting seeing those kids ask for loot complaining about how you to were able to cut it up so easily while they can't even leave a scratch on it.

The two men start laughing hearing her.

Lona: so how is the royal exile?

Hugh: heavily injured. The his mana circulation was also messed up probably before being transported so he wouldn't react. It would take about 3 days for us to return it to its normal flow again. Once we fix it we think he will wake up then.

Slade: Really how can the demons do something like this to their own kind. I know humans aren’t anything nice to our own but really messing up a persons flow of mana is like wanting to cripple them in the cruelest manner.

Lona: i’m not an exile since i was born in this world but its survival of the fittest in demon society even here it was like that.

Hugh: i can see why brutes were the dominate group of demons then. I heard from the pope that the first demons in this place wasn’t a brute or oni or anything. I think he called it a Great Tengu, its suppose to be a Noble bird man demon that is considered one of the strongest races of demons.

Lona: I’ve heard of such as well. It was written in Galton’s journal.

Hugh: Galton as in the lord of the castle. He died before it was take by the demon tengu.

Lona: no Galton is the first lord of this castle. He is the one that led its construction as its written in his journal. It even holds a map of the whole castle including secret passages all over the place. That is how i get around without getting in the way of the brutes before. Here.

I pull out the large journal and hand it to the commander and he quickly opens to the first page and starts reading. After a few pages reading quietly his eyes start going wide.

Hugh: It’s true he was the first lord. Then...why was he killed if he never attacked?!

Lona: easy the foreigners that hunted him down made fake evidence that he was planning to attack and the king that ordered his death ate it up. He was a man that wanted peace with humans but was hunted because he was a demon and he caused his castle to become a dungeon from his powerful presence. The thing was that the place had a dungeon crystal that he hung above his throne with pride but it never had monsters because his servants hunted them as pests. Its all written down.

Slade: so that crystal was made by a powerful tengu? They say dungeons that lose its original boss creature never become the same unless something similar appears within.

Lona: its no lie because this place fell into disrepair not long after he died and became what you know of as todays brute dungeon. Ironically Brutes are a tengu’s enemy and the crystal attracts and makes demons transform into its most hated enemy to draw out a new tengu for it to return to its former glory.

Hugh: I wonder what the odds of a tengu appearing here are?

Lona: who knows that young noble you guys are raising might just bring about lots of change here.

I said that and walked away. As i walk i pass his tent and see the small boy stretched out. Unlike before where he looked like an 8 year old. Now he looks at least 12 while his fox was much larger now and had 4 tails and the rabbit had grown as large as a baby cow. It caused the tent to bulge but it didn’t fall.

Walking away i pull a large chunk of meat out and start eating it raw. I felt power pass through me with each bit. I eat three chunks of Oni meat before reaching my own bed of furs i had laid out.

Lona: I hope to see the boy grow into something special someday. And i hope to be their with him when he does, oh Great Prince of the Demons
