On a small blue marble, in a house, a young boy no; a teenager was awake excitedly pacing around his room. Today was the day he would finally get to go to the water park. This would be the first time he would be able to go and go down all the slides. To the teen, the best part was all his friends would be there, including her.

The teen let out an excited squeal.

“You don't need to screen, but yes we're going to the water park. Grab your trunks, and rash guard.” A voice of an older male was heard through the teen's room.

“Aw, but I don't want to wear it.” The teen wasn’t a fan of the rash guard. He wanted to show off his abs, which anyone else would say was non-existence.

“Your 14 and skinny, trust me, it will look better than nothing.” The voice said through the door.

The teen groaned but agreed, “Fine”

The boy was shaking with anticipation, of going to the park.

“Dad, can I have some money?” The teen asked a man packing an SUV with towels, sunscreen, and snacks.

“I'm not going in the water so just ask for money when you see something.”

“But dad.”

The man stopped packing, “Look it's simpler this way. I'll give it to you in the sly so you can look good.”

The boy excitedly hugged his father, his dad knew about his little crush and was more than willing to help. “This is going to be a great day.” The boy declared.

——

A man, two teen boys, and three teen girls pull up into a waterparks parking lot.

“Everyone got sunscreen on?” The man asked the group

“Yes, dad.”

“Yes.” The entire group chimed in the affirmative.

The little group was happy and excited, all for their own reasons. The teens walked ahead of the man, just out of earshot and two of the teens huddled close flirting with each other. The boy was nervous and clumsily, in all his actions, all the while the girl smiled enjoying even these clumsy attempts to woo her. There was a budding romance between the two, all awkward and confusing for them both. The two spent the entire day locked at the hips growing closer, creating bonds different from before.

After a fun time, the entire group is together eating at one of the food stands.

The man looked over the group seeing them all a little crispy, knowing not one of them put on a second coat of sunscreen. “You’re all looking a little burnt.” The man commented before asking, “You all ready to go home?”

“Not yet.” The man’s son said.

“Yeah, there's one more to try.” One of the girls said looking over to the largest and most twisty slide. The entire group of teens looked over to the big slide and nodded agreeing.

“Alright one more before everyone gets to red.” The man said.

The entire group rushed to stand in line for the five-story twisting tube ride. that ends in an open-air drain.

A group of teens reaches the top of a slide with a tube large enough for all five of them. They stand at the top excited and nervous. A boy and a girl blush in embarrassment as they hold hands for the first time. All the while their friends teased playfully.

The group all enter the inner tube the boy and girl let go of each other's hands for safety. The group is excited with anticipation and fear waiting for the drop as they all stare at the red light waiting for it to turn.

The light turns green, and the lifeguard pushes them into the tunnel. They slip and slide through twisting tunnels lights from the world outside giving an unearthly air to the ride.

'Was that a spark?' the boy thinks but brushes it away as a trick of the light. The light then disappears into darkness as a sliver of fear inflicts on the group.

‘What is coming? Will we get out? What if we get stuck?. This is a wild ride.’ All these thoughts run through their minds if only for a moment.

Their fears leave them as the light returns and the others laugh at each other. Except someone is missing.

A boy looked panicked at the place the girl he had just asked to be his girlfriend had been.

In a place filled with water and fun. In a tube that flows all day long, a girl has disappeared and a boy acts on instinct jumping from the safety of a tube going against the water's rapids.

The boy has no time to think, the only thing on his mind. Is, ‘Is she safe?’

He moves through the water barely keeping his footing making his way back up, into the darkness. He pushes hard against the falling current, one step after the other. He enters the dark moving slowly to his new love, young, fresh, and just blossoming.

The boy moves for what feels like hours, but only seconds have passed. He is sure he should have passed the black-out section already.

A boy keeps moving, screaming a name into the darkness, words drowned out by the rushing of water. He is terrified of the darkness but her being alone pushes the boy forward deeper into the tube, until the darkness is complete.

The boy moves and finally sees hope just ahead a small dim light right ahead of him in the water.

'She must have fallen through here. I have to help her.' the boy jumped into the water towards the only light.

The boy falls through, feeling a sharp sting throughout his entire body, and is suddenly somewhere else. A long narrow room, and across the room he sees a scared girl.

His heart speeds up as he runs over to her, she looks up seeing the boy, and launches herself into him. "I was so scared. I thought I was alone."

“Never” The boy hugged the girl tightly and looked around at their surroundings. "Where are we?"

“Oh come on. Now I got two dammit.” The boy looks up to see a man in and a raincoat doing something to the air. “Stupid Inter-dimensional leaks.” The man cursed, looking through his toolbox. “Where is that stupid wrench? I need to close that before I get more.”

The man looked towards the two cold and wet teens, “I'll be with you in a minute.”

A man stands in the back of an 18 wheeler truck's trailer, With a toolbox by his feet and a wrench in his hand as he grumbles about worlds springing leaks and taking people it shouldn't.

A boy and girl look to the man confused, as he worked on something they couldn’t see, as it was dark and only a little light leaked into the room.

Quickly their confusion turned to anger as the boy yelled, "Why did you take her?"

“I didn't. You fell through a hole in the slide.” The man said annoyed.

The boy and girl looked at each other thinking the same thing. 'This must be an area below the ride.'

The girl spoke up asking “So there's a hole on the slide? That’s a big hole if two people can fall through.”

The man rubbed the back of his head, “Yeah I'm surprised more people haven't fallen through. I don't even know how long this has been here.”

“Well, it is a tube ride. So they probably just went right over it.” The girl commented unsurely.

“Ah...wait...” The man turned to look at the two teens looking them up and down. “This... is gonna be a weird one.” The man said offhandedly, then asked. “So it’s a water park up there?”

The boy gave a confused look, ‘of course it is where else would a water-slide be, the boy thought but said instead, "Yeah. We were going down and we went through the dark section, and when it lit up she was gone.”

The man looked at the two teens, as they looked at each other, seeing the two blush.

“That would explain a few things. Let me just finish here and we'll go from there.” The man said, a rush of hope shooting through them both.

"If you could just point us to the exit we can walk." The girl said trying to get out of whatever this place was.

The man held a finger for them to wait to pull on something, "Almost done just one more turn."

The boy was about to insist when he looked at the spot the man was "fixing" and saw that there was nothing there, his hands were gone like they were reaching into nothing. Then he had another thought shouldn't there be water everywhere?' Besides the man's rain gear the room was completely dry.

The boy's heart began to race, with all the oddities and strangeness. He looked back at the girl and could see the panic in her eyes as well noticing the same.

"Where are we?" The girl asked being the braver of the two.

“Aw hell.” The man groaned, “At least this is fixed.” The man let out a sigh and turned to the boy and girl "*Was wondering when you would notice."

“Where the hell are we?” the boy yelled. “What is this place? And who are you?”

The man held up his hands backing away, “I’m just a driver, and this is where it gets very complicated.”

“Look you can just let us go. We won't say anything.” The girl looked around the room not seeing any door or exit anywhere.

“It's more complicated than that.” The man said chagrined.

“So that hole was a trap, and you're here for some sick fantasy.” The boy angrily accused.

The boy was building himself up to do something when the girl grabbed his shoulder. “There is no exit to this place.”

The boy stared at the girl, “What?”

“Look around.” The girl gestured to the room.

The boy looked around panic growing before he runs up to the man grabbing him yelling, “get us the hell out of here you bastard!"

“I'm sorry it's too late.” The man said sadly.

“We won't say anything we swear.” The girl pleaded.

“It's not that, it's...I'm sorry this wasn't supposed the happen and you shouldn't have to go through this.” The man sounded truly regretful for what was happening

“What is this place?” The boy demand, starting to feel heavy.

A thunking sound could be heard behind the boy, and when he looked he found she had collapsed.

The boy finally realized he wasn’t feeling heavy but drowsy 'gas?'

"You bastard..." The boy fell to the ground.

——

A man stood in a room with no exits looking at two unconscious teenagers, sadly.

The back of the truck opened, and a man stepped out of the truck jumping to the ground. The man takes off his raincoat and walks to the driver's side door, opens and sits in his driver's seat.

“Did you fix the leak?” A woman asked casually as she was rifling through a bed in the back of the cabin.

The man let out a long sigh. “Yeah.”

The woman hearing the long sigh goes and sits in the passenger seat. Instead of asking what she already knew she decided to go a different route, “How does something like that happen?”

The man leaned his head on the wheel as he answered, “It's a natural rift to the chaos between realms.”

“That's possible on a world like earth?”

“Oh yeah, it's kinda how worlds like earth end up getting mana.” The man leaned back taking in a deep breath, “It leaks through those holes.”

“How do they open?”

“Sometimes it's other gods forgetting to close doors, other times there's just a build-up of magic on the other side. But it's natural, it’s mainly caused by people with heightened emotions passing an area, over and over. Those people subconsciously stroke the fabric, and over time.”

“So what was that place?”

“A water park.” The man said exhausted.

The woman looked over to the driver, who was starting up the truck, “Now where to?”

“We have a delivery.” The man said seriously staring straight ahead.

The woman looked at the man confused, “Don't we need cargo first?”

The man stayed silent as he started his rig, and began to drive in a place between worlds.

Understanding filled the woman's eyes as she frowned, “Oh.”
