《Plain Vanilla》Chapter 4

After that class was over I went to another class with Diana and then it was time for lunch

“Hey Vanilla!” I heard someone call, nobody but Xan calls me that; so I turned around and there he was.

“Hi Xan” I smiled.

“Ive been thinking about you for the past two hours, can’t get you out of my head girl.” He said grabbing my hand and sitting me down at an empty table.

“That’s odd,” I grinned.

“I’m a bit obsessed with your presence Vanilla..” He said leaning on the table, a bit too close to me.

“Well I’m sorry about that.” I saw his face turn intently to a boy staring at me, the boy instantly got up and came over and sat across from me and Xan.

“Hi, I’m Ian, you’re new right?” He asked politely. Xan’s face was twisted to the point where it looked like he was completely disgusted.

“Ye-” Xan interrupted me

“Yeah she’s new.” He frowned.

“Oh, are you her brother?” He smiled.

“Nope.”

“In any relation to her? At all?” He questioned.

Xan looked like he was about to explode.

“No. Anything else?” He glared.

“Uhm, I just wanted to ask her something.” He stuttered.

“Go ahead, ask.” Xan said very rudely.

“Do you have any idea when the project for Communication arts is due? I was asleep..” He sighed

“Actually I’m pretty sure it is due next Tuesday.” I smiled.

“Thank you so much Vanessa! Big time help.” He got up and walked away smiling.

“What was with the attitude Xan?”

“I don’t know, I don’t like him, he smiles too much.” He narrowed his eyes.

“Why can’t you not be jealous” I smirked.

“What can I say, I just can’t.” He grinned.

“You are silly Xan,” I laid my head on the table.

“Here try laying on your arms, it’ll be more comfortable that way.” He said gently lifting my head and putting his hand in mine lifting my arm up.

“Thanks Xan.”

“Yeah, are you okay?” He laid his head next to mine.

“Yeah..i just have a headache, nothing serious.” I felt like I was about to pass out

“Um, no- your face is pale. Are you cold Vanessa?!”

“U-um, I don’t know..” I blinked slowly. I was cold, not just cold but I felt like I was in a box; a small; suffocating box.

“Vanes-”

His voice faded out, I felt a tear drop onto my cheek and then I couldn’t feel anything.

-Alexanders POV-

“Vanessa!”

No answer, her face was pale, I apparently started crying because a tear dropped down and fell on her cheek.

“Help! She passed out!” I yelled, soon about 50 people were swarming around her, the principal was apparently called down immediately, he ran down and forced everyone but me to move

“What happened Alexander.” He said sternly

“I- I don’t know, she laid down and then was pale and it looked like something was suffocating her.” I nearly broke down and started crying even more.

“Call an ambulance, the nurse can’t do anything about it, QUICKLY!!” He yelled

The escorted her to the truck and asked if I wanted to go, and I definitely said yes.

The doctors told me that she had vasovagal syncope, meaning she just fainted due to her blood pressure decreasing.
