《Plain Vanilla》Chapter 2

Well today is my first day of high school, I’m surprisingly nervous. Mainly because I just moved here and they will probably think I’m weird or that I’m from a foreign country because of my dark hair. Great. My brother’s got it good, he looks like an American. My guess is that they’ll speak really loud to get me to understand, but I already understand so…. That’s going to be awkward.
“Vanessa, good ridden; come down stairs! Its time for school.”
I walked downstairs hugged my mother and father goodbye; because you never know I might die.
“So, A-are you nervous?” Noland muttered.
“Kinda, I just wish I looked like you, brown hair and all of that.” I smiled.
“Well here’s my school, good luck Vi.”
Noland walked away to his New academy and I was all alone.
“Hey! You!” I heard someone running towards me so I turned around and I saw a boy that looked around my age.
“Hey!” he panted.
“Umm? Do I know you?”
“If you’re new probably not, but are you Vanessa ?” He smiled gosh you should’ve seen that smile!
“Yep, and you are?”
“My name is Alexander but you can call me Xan.” He put his hand in front of me to shake and I did.
“Cool, do you go to Philter high school?” I asked letting go of his hand.
“Yeah! What grade are you in?” He smiled once more
“10th, you?”
“Same! What’s your first class!” He beamed.
“Uhhh, I think Communication Arts?”
“Wow three times in a row Vanilla”
“Vanilla?” I questioned.
“It was an accident but now that’s your nickname!” He grinned widely.
“Pfft.”
“We’re here Vanilla!” He smirked.
The school is Huge, not even kidding.

“Woah.” Is all I could say to Xan
“I know, what I cant believe is what we’re in the same class!” His eyes sparkled. Now Xan looked like a standard American male, but his eyes were literally like gold, they were so pretty. His hair was a light; and I mean light- brown. Not to the point of blonde or anything, just a creamy light brown
“I can’t either.”
“Like what ya see Vanilla?” He grinned
“I don’t know… you are a little bit too tall, and I could use you with less muscles.” I teased.
“Oh you love how tall I am, and my muscles will protect you m’lady.” He winked.
“I don’t need your protection sir.” I said, but just then I nearly fell flat on my face,
“Are you sure princess?” He smirked while holding me in his arms.
“I never agreed to you calling me princess.” I said while blushing oh-so-badly-.
“I don’t need your approval m’lady” he said gently pushing me away.
“Thanks for not letting me fall on my face.”
“No problem vanilla~”
“Don’t say it like that weirdo.” I turned my face from him. He put his hand on my face and turned it “Are you blushing vanilla?”
“Probably, you wanna know why? Because you are literally a romantic.”
I nearly slapped him.
“Nope, your just fun to mess with.” He grinned widely.
“Time for school,” I walked towards my first class.
