The large green dragon fell from the sky landing in the center of the courtyard. All the small dragons hurriedly ran to the out skirts of the area but a few chose to hide behind Jaslyn. “WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING HERE?” The dragon shouted in a low manly voice.

The green dragon lowered its head to stare Jaslyn in her eyes. “You there child of dragon’s how did you enter this place?” They all stood there frozen in place waiting for the legendary beast thought to be extinct to wipe them from the world.

“Why do you freeze young ones? I was under the impression that the despicable humans had invaded this “nest” for our young.” They all looked up at the dragon still not moving or even thinking.

“Yeah sorry about them. I didn’t expect that dragons would be some rare creature that would liquefy their brains.” Dominit stepped forward with the black dragon trailing behind him. The dragon moved his head to look around the group of three and he began snarling.

“Human. For trespassing in this place I will rip you to pieces.” He began to gather his breath again when Cassandra shook her head violently and leapt to Dominit’s side bowing quickly. “Please old one do no attack my lover he has done nothing wrong.”

The dragon stop preparing to attack and looked at her quizzically. “Why, child of beasts, do you stop me from destroying this spec of dirt from the world? He may have not done anything yet but humans are the most destructive and evil force in existence.”

“Although if it weren’t for them the other races wouldn’t exist. It matters little as humans will all be tainted before long leaving only one course of action. They must all be eliminated before the world is destroyed.” Then something unthinkable for the three demi humans to even think about.

Dominit looked up and yelled. “Hey listen up you stupid lizard. You and I are going to need to have a nice little chat.” This caused the other three to look at him with their mouths open and the dragon did the same thing. He glared up at the dragon and pointed off to a corner of the courtyard.

“You three go play with the little dragons.” Justin was about to say something when Dominit held up his hand and glared at all of them he pointed to the corner and then to the dragon. Then to the other three, the dragon kids, and to the opposite side of the court yard.

Just to make sure it sunk in Dominit let out a small amount of bloodlust/killing intent which scared the little ones, his friends, and a small shiver went down the spine of the dragon. ”What an interesting little human.”

They all made their ways to their respective sides. “Listen to me human you obviously wish to die so I will oblige but since you had the gall to talk to me in such a way I will hear you out before destroying you.” The dragon slowly morphed into a human shape with the cracking of bones as he shifted forms.

He was seven foot tall with sharp features and ears. His head was bald with green scales covering it. He looked more elf like than Jaslyn did. She still had a few sharp features like her cheek bones and ears but that was it. This dragon’s skull also had sharp accents around the eye sockets and chin almost triangular.

“Ok listen up “pal” I’m not your run of the mill human from around here so I’d appreciate a bit more courtesy than what you’ve shown me.” He laughed and looked at Dominit. “You humans are all the same you think you are special because you might be a little bit powerful.

Well it doesn’t matter as this is your last day alive.” Dominit sighed and leaned in close to the dragon. “Listen man I’m not even from this fucked up world ok. I was brought here to clean up some bullshit crazy cult.” He raised an eyebrow at Dominit.

“So you’re a hero from another world. That doesn’t change much as humans are all evil.” “Yeah I mean people from my world aren’t all that great either but I wasn’t exactly a monster from where I came from. It was only after Nyx brought me here that I…..”

Dominit noticed that his face began to pale at the mere mention of Nyx. “Di… di… di… did you just say Nyx?” “Ha he’s actually stuttering what the hell. A second ago he was going to kill me now he’s scared.” “So why the change in attitude lizard man?” He looked at Dominit and backed away. “I’m… I don’t believe you there’s no way she would ever…”

The little black dragon that had followed him over began to nuzzle his leg again. The dragon looked down at it horrified by what the act truly meant. “So who exactly is this little one and why is it so attached to me?” The dragon just kept looking at the little black dragon and shaking his head.

After a while he calmed down but still couldn’t really formulate any thoughts. Luckily he wasn’t the only dragon in the area. While he was still yammering three more dragons flew in. One was brown, another red, and the last blue. They all quickly morphed to a humanoid form and approached the three playing with the dragons.

“Hello there you three if you don’t mind us asking what happened to the other dragon who should have visited you all first.” They all pointed in the direction of the pale faced green dragon and Dominit who were now walking towards them. Dominit whispered over to the dragon beside him.

“I’d appreciate it if you didn’t tell my companions about what I am and where I’m from. I’d like to tell them when I’m comfortable with it as I still don’t know what it means for me to be summoned.” He simply nodded and continued over to his people.

They rushed to the green dragon and surrounded Dominit but stopped when the green dragon waved for them to stop. “It’s alright he means us no harm. At least for now.” They looked and Dominit with anger and resentment but listened to him.

Cassandra saw Dominit and rushed to his side making sure he wasn’t injured. “Why should we spare this human? These three are obviously his slaves we should just kill him and set them free.” Dominit growled at them which surprised them.

“Ok I’m only going to explain this once so listen up because I’m tired of being treated like shit by people like you. This is Cassandra she is indeed my slave but only because I was able to save her life from another but the only way I could was with a blood oath.”

“She is also my girlfriend so she is most definitely not treated as a slave. Those two are my friends. The elf is Jaslyn and the wolf is Justin they are dating so if I’d treated one of them like a slave I’m sure the other would have kicked my ass by now.” Jaslyn and Justin gave a slight nod to corroborate his story.

“Now that we’ve got your racism out of the way why don’t you explain a little about where the hell this is and why it was attached to a cave we found Void cultists in.” They weren’t happy with the tone Dominit had used but Jaslyn jumped in and was very diplomatic in getting them to not gut him for his disrespect.

They told the group that they were here long before anyone and that the earth dragon had sealed any and all entrances to the keep they used as a nest. The water, fire, and air dragons all used their magic’s to keep a strong mist surrounding the area that forced people who wondered in to go back from where they came.

They’d been there almost a thousand years and the children they saw had all just hatched a month or two ago. As they were not the dragons’ real children but orphans they couldn’t be hatched in the normal way. Which is to have a parent let the child know it is safe to leave the egg.

“A month or so ago was when me and my family were brought here. That would mean they think we’d keep them safe. Any hero who had a dragon backing them would definitely be a force to be reckoned with.”

Dragons are incredibly intelligent and can think and act long before they are ready to hatch. They only hatch when they know it is safe to do so as the egg they live in is as far as anyone know completely indestructible. But as soon as they hatch it becomes weak and brittle to allow them to easily break free.

They weren’t sure why the children had hatched but were over joyed as all dragons were nearing extinction. Many if not all races assumed them to be long dead but that was what the dragons wanted.

When they had enough dragons they’d show the world that they were still very much alive but not until they were safe in numbers. Until then they needed to remain a secret they asked Jaslyn Cassandra and Justin if they could please keep it a secret to which they nodded.

When it came for them to ask Dominit the only thing they did was draw a sword from thin air. Each one made from the element of the dragons themselves. “We can trust the children of beasts and dragons but as for you human you will need to die.” The green dragon seemed very reluctant but also had a sword readied.

“Hello my little champion how have you been?” Dominit frowned while being faced with the elemental blades. “I really don’t have time for this right now Nyx I’ve got a few dragons that need a beating.” She laughed in his head

“Sweaty you may be strong because of me but I highly doubt you can take four grown dragons on by yourself. So why don’t I just send them a little message from me and speed this up?” Dominit shook his head causing the dragons to smile. “Don’t worry human we are merciful unlike your kind we’ll make it quick.

“Ok Nyx I gotta go now they are starting to irritate me. I’ve been treated with nothing but disrespect since I got here the only exception my current friends and Sven. So I’m going to show these over grown salamanders who’s in charge.”

Nyx seemed to moan for just a second and Dominit thought he just lost it. “I have to say I love the new you very much. So tough and in charge telling me a goddess what’s going to happen. I’m going to give you a gift for keeping things lively and me guessing about what you’ll do next”

Time seemed to freeze and the world slowly went dark. Dominit saw the beautiful Nyx slowly rise from the ground in front of him. “Since you only have those first two powers right now I think it’d be more fun if I showed you something else. It’s not a new power per say but it expands on what you call the shadow walk.”

She walk close to him and kissed him. As she did a torrent of information entered his mind and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was similar to what he did at the library find any and all pieces of information that interested him and devour it. Only in this case it was instantaneous and was about his survival.

Nyx was about to pull away as to much information may fry her champion’s brain. AS she did however Dominit grabbed her head with both heads and held her firmly in place. Millions of pieces of information entered his mind faster than before.

Nyx struggled trying to break free from his grasp but soon found the only reason she couldn’t was because she too was enjoying this “trade”. A full sixty seconds passed before Dominit released her. She feel to the ground without catching herself panting heavily.

She was exhilarated with the fact a human just went through many of her memories and experiences without as much as a groan of pain. In fact she looked up at him to make sure he was still alive and found him grinning like a madman. “Oh Nyx I greatly enjoyed that.” He lowered his self to one knee and stared her in the eyes. She froze for a second as she saw his eyes had also changed from their original color to that of hers with blood red irises.

He reached for her chin grasped it with his hand and kissed her once more on the mouth. This time no knowledge flowed between them. Dominit closed off his mind with the help of her memories so that this kiss would only be for his pleasure and not for anything else.

“Let’s do this again soon beautiful.” Nyx was still frozen on the ground completely blown away form what a human had just done to her and wasn’t sure what to do. Not wanting to look foolish she decided her best course of action to be leave and gather her thoughts. “Be well my champion.” She blushed and couldn’t look him in the eyes then vanished.

The darkness quickly faded and the dragons were still in front of him smiling. As time began to move they all slashed and stabbed at his previous position. He simply watched as the attacks sailed over his head and his friends yelled in fear.

Seeing Dominit no longer in his standing position but instead on one knee the four dragons jumped backward slightly worried about how he’d been so fast they couldn’t see him move.

He slowly begins to laugh quietly at first and then it grows louder sounding similar to someone who has lost their mind. He stares at them all his friends included and they all notice his eyes have changed color.

“Oh I think I’m going to enjoy this.” All of them shivered as they heard his voice something dark was lurking in him that they’d all either failed to see or didn’t think was in him. He says two words before he launches his own attack and for years to come it would haunt anyone who would hear it for the rest of their lives while looking into his crazed eyes. “Let’s play.”
