As Logan enters the girl rises from the floor and hisses at him at this act of aggression she growls as she seems to be in pain. She falls back to the floor and glares daggers at him. “What do you want human. Come to play with me before your leader gets back and then the rest of you won’t get a piece.” Staying a little ways back Logan tries to pacify her.

“Look I don’t actual know these people. I woke up in the forest and then these guys started to follow me. I may have ended up killing two of theirs. I was only trying to find a town or something around here and found this place. I snuck over the wall and saw what they were doing to what I can only assume were people you knew. I’m sorry.”

She looked at him skeptically because there was no way a human in this place was going to be friendly he was most likely trying to get her to lower her guard so he could pounce on her. Logan began to pity her as he saw a collar around her neck. “What is that?” He asked pointing at her neck. She looked at him angrily there was no way he wouldn’t know was he playing her for a fool trying to trick her with such an awful act.

She kept staring waiting for him to laugh at her or something but he stayed quiet waiting for her to answer “Do you really not know what this is?” Logan shook his head with a slight frown. “It turns me into a slave of the one whose blood was used to forge this collar.” He frowned even more. “Is there no way to get it off or break it?” She looks at him with a little more interest.

“There is no way he works for these people if he’s even willing to talk about freeing me from that man.” She beings to stand again and beings to tell him of two ways to get it off. “First you could have the one who put it on me take it off but knowing that man I’m sure it’d be easier to do the other but I’m not exactly willing to try the second option.” Logan looks at her worried about what this second option could possibly do to him or her.

“Option number two is that I form a blood oath with you. It would make this collar worthless so it couldn’t stop me from running from here but I would be bound to you for the rest of my life.” She looks down when she finishes and doesn’t look his way. “I’m not sure what that all means but if it means I can get you out of here then I’m all for it.” She looks back up at him and frowns. “What do you mean you don’t get it? It means I can only ever be with you. I wanted to do this with my mate when I’d finally found him. Not some vagabond in some nasty tent.”

Logan looks around worried as she started to grow louder with each word. “Ok ok look I’m sorry about all that but the way I see it you’ve got two options. You pick option one which means I’m gone because there is no way I’m going to try and negotiate with him in the middle of his army. But if you pick option two we can get out of here hopefully before anyone even knows about it for a few hours giving us a head start.”

She’s still glaring at him but nods her understanding motioning him to come closer to her. “I need to borrow a blade if you don’t mind.” He passes her a dagger which she uses to cut the tip of her finger. She passes the dagger back and Logan puts it away. She grabs his right hand and begins to draw a symbol while speaking in some magical language. As she finishes the incantation the symbol glows on his hand and it disappears.

He feels a slight tug in her direction from somewhere near his chest but he just assumed it was a side effect of the spell. After she finishes she stands up and begins to head for the hole in the tent. “You coming or what?” she asks. She leaves the tent with Logan a step behind her. Before she can continue to walk off Logan grabs her hand and pulls her back. She’s about to hiss at him for grabbing her so suddenly but he covers her mouth with his other hand. Not a moment after a group of four men walked past the tent towards the arena Logan had originally come from.

“How did you know?” she whispers to him. He responds by shrugging and walking towards the closest wall to climb it again and leave this shitty place. She follows him closely to make sure he doesn’t leave her behind. As he gets to the wall he motions her to come closer. “Ok I’m going to life you up and over just wait for me on the other side.” She nods her agreement and grabs his shoulders to steady herself while he lifted her. After getting her feet on his shoulders he looked up to see if she was going to need any other help getting over when he froze.

He hadn’t realized what she was wearing or more accurately what she wasn’t wearing. All she had on to cover her was a rag dress with holes and patches on it. And that was it. Nothing on underneath. He swallowed and looked back towards the rest of the camp while she climbed off him. After making sure she was safely on the other side he took out his daggers and began his tiring climb. After landing on the other side he noticed that she was patiently waiting for him.

“Before we go anywhere do you have a place to go or know how to get us out of here?” She nods and motions for him to follow her to the south or what he assumed was the south since he had to circle around the camp to where he had originally scaled the wall. They had been traveling for a little while now maybe an hour or so when the sun set and it grew very cold.

They decided to stop at a hollowed tree and squeeze into it. There was hardly any room for them to sit across from one another. A half an hour passes and it grows even colder to where they can see their breath. Logan saw her shivering and started to scoot around to sit beside her before he’d even made it to feet she stared at him and gave out a quiet hiss. He stared back with a very cold glare that took her off guard after how he’d saved her.

She thought he was going to do every bad thing her parents had told her bad humans would do if they managed to trick her into a blood oath. While she was stunned he finished moving beside her and pulled her into him wrapping her in his arms and cloak. She was about to hiss at him again after regaining her senses but he began to stroke her head and whispered to her. “You do realize that if I don’t do this you might freeze to death tonight right?"

"I just saved you the last thing I want is to wake up nice and warm just to see you cold and dead on the floor.” She thought about it for a moment and let the hiss die in her throat. She didn’t have to enjoy this but she did need his heat to survive. She nuzzled into him to try and conserve as much heat as possible before they both fell asleep.

Logan woke up and didn’t feel like he had gotten any sleep. Looking around he understood why. He was back in Nyx’s domain as she put it. The light was on thank goodness but she was nowhere to be seen. He started to yell out for her. It took a few shouts of her name to hear a loud bang as the whole floor shook. A few seconds later a large door like shape swung outward five feet in front of him seemingly out of thin air. There stood a tired looking goddess of death and darkness. “What are you doing here so late?”

She was in a black semi- see through night gown with her hair in a dishevelled mess going down her back. Seeing this Logan began to chuckle to himself unfortunately she caught him. “What’s so funny huh you think you can come into my home and make fun of me.” She’s blushing while shouting at him. “I’m not making fun of you exactly it’s just you look kind of cute.” She starts blushing more and runs back into what he can only assume to be her room. He’s about to follow her in when the door quickly shuts and she materializes herself next to him in the same black dress he’d first met her in.

“So what can I do for you my champion?” “And now she’s going to try and play it like nothing just happened.” “Yes I’ve got a few questions for you and after coming here after falling asleep just adds another question. She starts nodding like she understood anything and everything he could possibly ask. “Please ask away.” He coughed once and began. “When I first came here why was I inside of a forest? Why when I killed two men did I feel nothing about it? How am I here when I didn’t try to be and finally what was it that I felt right before I found that girl?”
