Slowly he opened his ‘eyes’ and everything felt blank for a moment before he realized who he was once more and the events that had just transpired. Realizing this his calm emptiness abandoned him entirely and he jolted looking around in every direction ready to do combat and defend himself once more. When he looked around though he immediately calmed down realizing the place that he was in. All around him was a grey void that went off seemingly for infinity but also stopped right in front of him. A sigh emerged from every direction simultaneously clearly sounding exasperated.
A familiar voice spoke up “Young master, you were in a void state, why did you interrupt it so suddenly like that? Don't you know that it is incredibly beneficial for the true void arts?”
Naath shook his ‘head’ as he spoke “How am I here again? Didn't I, you know, die just now?”
He heard a light chuckle from the void around him as it spoke once more “Indeed your physical self is utterly gone young master. Those heavens made sure not even a single speck of dust remained of you. They were however unable to destroy the true void seed before it sheltered your newly forged true void soul. Sensing the danger the seed absorbed your soul and brought it here a place the heavens are simply incapable of effecting anything. I am after all beyond and between the various worlds controlled by the heavens, how could they possibly harm me? Only you young master have that ability. Now then let's get right down to it, shall we? I can give you rebirth yet again young master. You will be reborn as a baby and must start from scratch again.
I cannot control where you will go outside of what universe or who you will be, what I can do however is to teach you how to avoid the eyes of those heavens if you wish. Well even if you don't want to I’m sorry young master but I have waited trillions of years for someone who could claim dominion over the void so I will be giving you a seal to hide yourself. So young master do you wish to go around again, or would you rather I simply return you to earth?”

Naath jumped hearing that question but shook his head “I have made a few promises already, send me back to the universe I just died in. Besides, Earth never even had anything for me. The martial energy was weak, the people were ignorant, and life was repetitive and meaningless. Besides, once I master the void entirely won’t I simply be able to make my own world?”
He heard a light chuckle around him from the void as it spoke once more. “It is as you say, young master, however, you have yet to truly touch on the true abilities of the void. Reflect on your new soul pools to find the path towards the true void.”
As he heard that Naath’s vision turned to black and he saw nothing and heard nothing any longer. However he did not panic, he knew he was being reincarnated yet again to the same universe as before. He was fully prepared for anything that may occur, several hours later Naath felt his consciousness slowly quieting down as if his very soul was going into a deep, deep sleep. He calmly accepted it knowing full well what was happening and he smiled lightly as he fell into a long stateless sleep.

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…
