Elder Gui went to take a step and disappeared from Naath’s view entirely. Naath couldn't keep track of him in the slightest until he felt a firm grip on his right shoulder. Naath heard elder Gui’s voice whisper “haha brat I’m going to make you regret the day you were reborn into this world for fucking up my meditation.” Before Naath could even regret the events that had just transpired his vision blurred completely and when it refocused he was at the base of the mountain again. Elder Gui’s voice rang out by his ear again saying “climb it again! but this time I've tied weights to you in order to double your bodyweight this time around.
You aren't allowed to rest until you reach the top and if they come off I will know, I'm going to be watching you, you little bastard. Ah right before I forget no treasure hunting if I recall properly that's what gave you drive before. Your drive should be to reach the peak of martial arts or in this case the peak of this mountain! When you break down I don't want any waterworks, just take off the weights and leave the sect. Don't worry about the wolf, he's going to be up top with me getting the same intensity training you are.”
Naath turned to look when he first heard the voice but elder Gui was already gone and back at his abode on the top of the mountain. He looked up and gulped saying out loud “well, shit I got a monster of a master.” He shook it off and walked towards the base of the mountain and after only a dozen steps he felt the extra weight on his body. However instead of lamenting about it Naath looked down at himself and said “haha, finally a challenge!” A strange glow appeared in his emerald eyes as the fire of passion was lit in him.
He started to climb and after several hours every fiber of his being felt like it was on fire and trying to rip itself apart. However the more pain there was, the more determined Naath became to complete the challenge in front of him. Two days later at the end of the cliff at the top of the mountain a young hand grabbed into the earth and dragged up the body attached to it, it was exactly Naath finishing his task. When Naath finally got to the top his legs fell out from underneath him and he laid on the ground gasping for air. The sweat from the exercise making a small pool underneath him.

After two hours Naath finally regained some strength and he pulled up his arms with an ungodly amount of effort and removed the weights on himself. After this he felt as if he weighed absolutely nothing. Naath heard slow sarcastic clapping as he lay there and then elder Gui’s voice rang out again. “Good work brat you actually made it up you don't disappoint you are worth the other elders praise. However for me this is the starting line of being worth my training. For the next part I will be shattering every bone in your body into dust and you will be reconstructing them.
We will go until you have remade your bones 500 times. After that light training we will move on to intermediate levels. Come along now.” Before Naath could even respond he was grabbed by the shoulder again. The next thing he knew he was on an island in the middle of a large lake. In the middle of the island was a small hut with a table and chair that had an umbrella set up with it on the outside. Elder Chu asked, “So brat what is your prefered meditation cushion?” Naath answered almost on instinct. “I'm used to meditating on top of a tree stump.”
He regretted saying it out loud almost immediately. Elder Gui said, “haha good brat, good I just happen to have an ironwood tree stump in my spatial ring.” Elder Gui waved his hand and a tree stump appeared and elder Gui said “sit!” Naath reluctantly went onto the tree stump and sat down cross-legged. Elder Gui said, “ Now then brat for the next 500 exercised I don't want to hear a single peep out of you got it!?” Naath simply nodded his head in preparation for what was coming. Elder Gui smiled lightly and maliciously and then used a palm strike that instantly shattered every bone in Naath’s body.
Naath winced at the intense level of pain however he closed his eyes and diligently began reconstructing his bones. While he was doing this and time was going by he heard Brutus let out a miserable howl. This was Naath’s bottom line and he yelled “you old bastard if you hurt my fucking wolf I’ll send you to your grave earlier than you planned!!!” After saying this Naath circulated his true void arts madly and reconstructed his bones in almost an instant. Then he heard “oh you little bastard you have some balls huh?” And then another palm strike broke every bone in Naath’s body again.

Naath talked through the pain saying “old bastard, if Brutus is permanently injured nobody in this world can save you, even if I have to take 10 years for revenge!” the old man chuckled lightly and disappeared again. This continued for about the next two weeks until Naath had finally recovered his bones for the 500th time. Elder Gui then said “ah good now we can begin the temperament process!” With a sadistic and delighted smile on his face. He grabbed Naath’s shoulder again. This time when Naath regained his vision he was in an icy tundra.
Elder Gui said “haha okay brat welcome to the normal levels of my training. First is to sit here in this freezing cold environment for two weeks and temper your body to the cold.” Without another sound Elder Gui left, when he did Naath started laughing almost insanely as he muttered “in my last life I lived in an environment of -50 degrees normally! You will have to try harder than this you old fucker!” With that elder Gui reappeared and said “oh in that case.” Naath’s vision blurred once more only this time when he regained it his body felt frozen.
Elder Gui said “Try this on then little bastard, the temperature here is so low it will actually freeze any natural flame.” With that he left Naath once more in a new icy tundra. Naath immediately sat down and cultivated his true void arts like his life depended on it, because it did. He crazily pulled in ice elemental energy into his body and converted it to his own energy using his true void membranes as a medium. He slowly realised as he drew in and compressed energy circulating it that his bones had become more durable, capable of deflecting greater impacts.
They were also much much more pure and almost completely free of impurities. Naath grit his teeth thinking ‘like hell I'll give that old bastard a compliment!’ After a few days Naath heard a familiar howl off in the distance as Brutus had obviously been receiving almost the exact same training as Naath. Naath grit his teeth and tried to stop meditating to go see Brutus however the instant he did the cold invaded every inch of his body stunning him in place.
Naath grit his teeth even harder and circulated his true void arts again cursing the old man in his heart. Like this two weeks had passed in the blink of an eye when elder Gui appeared again and said “alright next up!” Naath didn't even have time to respond before he was assaulted by impossibly intense heat. Then like the wind elder Gui was gone once more. Naath was sat down and circulated twice as hard as before, if he had to guess it was easily 500 degrees where he was! As the sweat came from Naath’s pores it instantly evaporated with a sizzling sound as his skin became bright red. Two weeks of this passed before elder Gui showed up once more and brought Naath back to the island surrounded by the lake. He dropped Naath off into the lake and a quarter of the lake evaporated immediately. Naath walked out of the water still steaming back onto the island saying, “what's next you old bastard I'll take anything you dish out!”
