《Last Grace: The Apex of Another World》Chapter 19 - The Nine Eyed Hare

Lucifer stared across from the water towards the giant fat rabbit. Its watch remained passive, its existence ticked Lucifer off.
Why was this fatso his second Elite that Lucifer had to kill? Couldn't an elite be a fish? That's not too much to ask for! Something less… ugly?
Since he was already nearby his plan to kill the bastard remained the same. He was going to kill it. He would have to rely on his copper daggers, they would end up doing the job. That is if the rabbit with nine eyes had no tricks up its sleeve.
Rabbits were supposed to be all cuddly, this monstrosity was a demon's nightmare. Not because it was cuddly and cute. Which it was not, it was because you could see its sagging belly rolls jiggle as it shook in place, cleaning itself.
"Do that somewhere else!" Lucifer screamed at the nine-eyed rabbit. He could not stand by and see this aberration obscure him from his lofty goals. If it granted him a good amount of experience, then that rabbit would die painlessly, if not he would use the rabbit's pelt for a rug!
He rushed towards the hare, it craved nothing. Nothing that Lucifer would notice anyways. He was eager to see if he would win yet again.
His body dripped translucent droplets of water, his body was yet to be dry. Holding a pair of daggers in his hands while they were still soaked was a sobering experience. He had to focus if he did not want to drop the daggers. He was not going to fail he already nailed one elite monster.
This was an elite monster? It had nine eyes, three rows of those menacing eyes. Ugly crimson balls, on sagging flesh.
What else could the rabbit be? It was not like he could see the monster as anything but a monster among monsters. All for the wrong reasons too.

The rabbit stirred. Blinking only once, right before it began the fight.
Lucifer leaped to the side as the large rabbit-thing nearly squashed him. Lucifer was unable to get close, this was going to have to be fought from afar. Good thing that he had his daggers to throw at the bastard.
He bent his back, flinging a knife at the rabbit that was already mid-pounce.
The knife got stuck, except he didn't see any blood coming out of the freshly made... wound?
No, rather it had to have thick skin. It would not die from his attack, Lucifer wished for once that he was skilled at throwing weapons. Now he knew that he would have to get up close and personal if he wanted to finish off the hare with nine eyes.
The rabbit landed an inch away. Slightly set back from his attack. he would not have any extra time to defeat the fucker, so he utilized the last weapon in his arsenal, besides the one dirk in his hand, it was his body.
He was a living weapon, one fit to destroy the giant rabbit.
He kicked the rabbit's gaudy frame, using the remainders of his energy to tear the rabbit a new one. The rabbit was not pushed back!
Times were dire, he had nothing left. He was going to die...
If he gave up... But Lucifer hated to give up. Especially disliking the idea of losing to such a monstrosity Lucifer reactivated rage.
That bitch" Lucifer slammed into the rabbit, in an attempt to grapple the rabbit he torqued his body, his strength was inadequate to lift the monster. Rabbits were usually small, this fatso was five to six times the size of that. He wasn't weak,
he was just up against a difficult foe. Lucifer was about to push it down...

Lucifer's eyes at the same time glancing everywhere. His eyes straining, while he stared at the rabbit for any signs of weaknesses he was punted back - thrown back hitting a tree Lucifer coughed.
"Agh!". This situation felt so familiar to him, that's right he had his back against the wall when he fought the arachnid queen, now he was having trouble against the rabbit king?
"Nine eyed hare, damn you!" he felt the energy in his body lessen even further.
"I am not going to die before you, you mongrel." Lucifer seethed, dashing towards the rabbit.
The giant hare instinctively punted the smaller being down. Lucifer's head whipped back from the shock. His face in the dirt, in the fucking dirt!
Lucifer wanted to make that rabbits life hell. He was going to not just teach the hare a lesson, he was going to make that fuckers entire body paste!
He got up, his body swift. Lucifer remained focused.
All he had to do to succeed was turn that fucker into something more unsavory.
He threw a punch at the rabbit's torso. A mark formed there, it seemed punches did work. They fucking worked!
He struck there again and again. Unleashing an onslaught of punches one after another. He heard the ding accompany his thunderous fists. His punches individually were lacking in firepower. Now the hare retaliated against him, its whiskers curling at the ends. Sweeping its head to the side Lucifer was once again on the ground.
The dirt seemed to stretch itself around him. The land wanted him to win, so what if he was dizzy. So what if he wanted to give up...
That which was not his focus was out of the picture - entirely. He didn't have time to worry about things that were never meant for him.
Nor what he desired.
Lucifer gritted his teeth, goading out a shot of blood from his mouth. Lucifer's entire body creaked.
The hare seemed to want another crack at Lucifer.
He was ready, their gazes connected. Turning both faces into animals. One was already a monster, and the other was a demon.
Something that was much worse than a mere animal.
"Take a dirt nap you dirty furball!" Lucifer threw one last punch.
He needed a miracle if he were to win in his current condition.
Lucifer had forced his body to work. Well beyond what it was made for.
Limits were set - and could only surpass once you grow. Defeating this hare wouldn't place him at the Apex, he would begin after stepping over its corpse. He had yet to surpass his will. Lucifer had yet to grow.
Something bombarded his ears that Lucifer never expected to hear.
Pat. Pat. Pat.
That's when Lucifer realized that it was footsteps! Other people!
It sounded like a rainstorm of feet.
He could only make out smudges of humanoids as his mind reached its limit. His battered face kissed the earth.
Everything was now in the hand of the smudges. Lucifer fell unconscious thereafter. The beings could only shrug as they dragged him away.
