Midnight. It was a full moon night as stars shone brightly in the background.

Yes, the night was indeed special, not because it was beautiful but because it was very important for the people of Li Sect. Lady Li Rou had gone into labor. Her husband Li Feng didn't care much. After all she was his second wife and the child was her second. The only thing on his mind was that he worried she would have complications at childbirth. Even though she was his second wife, he did love her. Usually second wives did not have much authority in their respective clans but there were certainly some exceptions. It was very much correct for Li Feng to be worried about his wife because she had a weak constitution when compared to other women. But she was a real beauty and most of the women couldn't be compared to her.

Li Rou always wanted a son. She wanted a son who would make her husband proud and bring glory to the Li Sect. Li Feng was the only son of the Sect Head Li Cheng. Well at least the only one alive. Li Rou's first child was a girl. She was really favoured by Li Feng. Even though Li Rou had gone into labor, she was surprised she didn't feel much pain compared to her first time.

The weather started to change rapidly. Suddenly dense clouds started to cover the sky above Li Sect. In moments it started to rain. In a while, it was raining cats and dogs. Li Feng was surprised when he looked outside and began to think what might be the reason for this sudden weather change. "The only reason for this to happen was if someone made the Rain Gods angry." Li Feng said this to himself. Suddenly he saw a lightning that made him almost shiver. "Heavens!" Li Feng was shocked at the sight. Of course any one who saw that would be shocked at that sight and would be shivering. "It was as if the lightning came down the heavens and stroked the ground!" Li Feng thought to himself. He was astonished at the intensity of the lightning strike. After witnessing the sight, Li Feng was lost in his thoughts but then he felt a presence of a person closing in on him. He noticed that this person was of very low cultivation. As he turned back, what he saw was one of the attendants of the sect. They were numerous attendants in the sect. Basically they were servants who did chores in the sect.

As Li Feng turned back , he went towards the attendant. "What happened?" Li Feng asked the attendant. "Master, Lady Li Rou has giving birth." replied the attendant. What was not surprising was Li Feng's reaction. "How is my wife? How is her health?" Li Feng interrupted. "Lady Li Rou didn't have any complications and she is perfectly healthy." replied the attendant. "Ho! Ho! That is good!" Li Feng replied as he was happy. Suddenly Li Feng thought how stupid he was and anxiously asked "Is it a boy or a girl?"

It was a boy. Li Feng rushed to where Li Rou and the baby were. As he reached the room, he saw Li Rou smiling as she was holding the baby. "Dear, it's a boy!" Li Rou joyously exclaimed. Li Feng then came to his wife and took the child in his arms. "Ho! Ho! Look at my boy, he's got your eyes Rou! I know he'll grow up to be very strong!" said Li Feng as he saw a very content face of his wife. Actually Li Feng didn't know what to say so he spontaneously made something up to comfort his wife. Well, Li Feng was indeed happy as he got another son. He knew the importance of having a son. Li Feng now had five children. And now he had three sons. He always wanted another son as a backup if something happened to his eldest. He was the only remaining son of his father and he knew that one his sons would inherit the sect. Hence, even having more than two was always good as he knew anything could happen in this harsh world if the heavens didn't favor him. Also having more sons could always bring glory to their sect, if they were good at martial arts of course. Well at least his bloodline would be secured.

The child's name was already decided as Li Chen if it was a boy. Hence, Li Chen it was. As Li Feng and his wife were talking, the baby started to cry. Li Rou started to comfort her baby. Seeing this Li Feng kissed on his wife's forehead and said he would meet her again in the morning. Li Feng then told the maids to look after his wife.

"W-What?What is this place? W-Where am I? " some questions were going in the mind of this person. It was shocking as this person was Li Chen. Yes, the baby.

"So...weak!" Li Chen thought to himself as he tried to control his body. Li Chen couldn't understand a word Li Rou was telling. "Who is this damn woman?!" Li Chen was infuriated. Of course all Li Chen could do was cry. This was normal for a baby to do. Li Rou was happy as her child was crying out loud as she thought her son would be very active in the future. This again was a foolish and a stupid thought. Li Chen didn't have much energy left in his small frail body and his consciousness began to fade. Finally seeing her son sleep, Li Rou went to sleep as well.

This night was indeed special, not because Li Feng got another son but because it would go down in history as the date when a legend was born. Yes, the legendary Li Chen. No one would even think that this day would be that important or would even think, that a person of such stature would be born here in this time. The winds of change would now blow across continent. Whether, the future now held only chaos and carnage, no one would be able to tell.
