Shengshan received the messenger with outward calm. Inside his guts were a knot of anxiety. Everything had been going too well. He read the contents of the mana pearl.
“We lost a patrol.” He announced to the room.
“That is hardly news.” Fengli responded. “We lose patrols all the time.”
“This patrol was heading towards the mana disturbance the nautlimages sensed.” Shengshan added.
“What happened?”
“We don’t know. We lost contact and they never returned.” Shengshan replied. He nervously flirted some water from his jet.
Fengli settled in the water. His mouth moved as he pushed water past his gills. “That isn’t much to go on. Standard patrol?”
“Yes. A land walker with flying support.” Shengshan replied. “We’ve never lost a full patrol before.”
“We should send a bigger force to investigate.” Fengli muttered. “We must know what that disturbance is. The ley lines for the entire region are being twisted.”
“I concur with your assessment.” Shengshan agreed. “Instead of a larger force; however, I think a more stealthy approach may be in order.”
Another nautilus floated into the chamber. Shengshan greeted the newcomer.
“Thank you for joining us Lolo.”
“Thank you for inviting me. Shengshan. Fengli.” Lolo replied. He nodded his head at each creature in turn.
“We don’t need your kind here.” Fengli snorted. He swished his fins in agitation.
“No, I think you do.” Lolo replied. “Force is not the only answer in this situation. “When faced with the unknown, it is wisdom to be cautious.”
“Caution is for the weak.” Fengli retorted.
“And how many of your kind have found their way to the land walker’s nets?” Lolo inquired. “Hmmm. Did you know they just make soup of the fins they steal?”

Fengli snapped his teeth in frustration. “May you choke on your ink.”
“Are you tasty Fengli?” Lolo teased. “What type of soup will they make of you now?”
“Enough.” Shengshan interjected. “We are not here to trade petty insults. We are here to investigate the land walkers.”
“Fine.” Lolo and Fengli agreed.
“I have developed a way for the nautli-mages to fly in the air.” Lolo said proudly. “The spell also solves the breathing problem.”
“Can you apply this magic to everyone?” Fengli asked. “You aren’t the only one who wants vengeance.”
“Perhaps, but the nautili have an advantage.” Lolo explained. “We don’t need to carve the runes upon our flesh. The spell can be easily adjusted on the fly.”
“I see.”
“Regardless, we have a battalion of nautli-mages willing to venture onto land.” Lolo explained.
“What of the freshwater water breathers?” Shengshan asked.
“Bah, we don’t need their kind.” Fengli added. “We can do this on our own.”
“Remember Fengli, they have been just as harmed as us.” Lolo said. “But the plain water they swim in makes it difficult for us to interact. The nose breathers may be able to help but no one really trusts them.”
“Keep working on the other water breathers.” Shengshan said. “Also, we approve the next mission. We must know what is happening up there.”

The Demon's Rapture
A man down on his luck, a world that's following suit. Caught up in a battle as old as time, Earth is devastated by mass disappearances, natural disasters, and all sorts of world bending feats. Divine interference refuses to let Earth progress as it was meant to, and those left behind can only do their best to survive. Sebastian just so happened to be one of those left behind. Scorned by those above and below, he does his best to survive in what can only be described as the Rapture. Hey! This isn't my first piece of writing but definitely my first piece of what would be a webnovel. Release is planned to be daily but will probably be inconsistent at first, and feedback would be greatly appreciated! Inspired by many other authors on RR Average of 2k words a chapter after Chapter 3

Before the age of men, there was the age of gods, or some say immortals. Not many know for sure what these beings are due to the lack of information and contact. Only one thing is certain these so-called immortals or gods are beings that we cannot comprehend due to our capacity for knowledge there seems to be a barrier that separates us from the so-called gods. Humanity has always been a pitiful existence, we can never be at peace always in conflict both internally and externally, thus causing us to be stagnant in terms of evolution as a species. Liu Feng was raised by humanity but he is not of the human species, follow him on his journey as he finds his origin while struggling with his inner identity.
8 128No Easy Mode
Reincarnation isn't easy, Sure you might have a status menu but unlike a video game the training is real, the blood, sweat, and tears are real. Unfortunately for Samuel Erasi Fuller he found out that no amount of video game knowledge can prepare you for a world of skills, attributes and magic and even his top notch survival skills only go so far when there are beasts that shoot fireballs or move like a bolt of lighting. Worse yet there are no levels of skills just a name and description and a percentage display! Edit: Yes the poorly done cover is my personal work. Drawing anything using your finger and an app on your phone was not as easy as the tutorial made it look!
8 112Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
