《Breaking Limits: A DBZ Fan-fic》Chapter 49

Bardock sighed from his place against the wall. Sarada was standing on his shoulder and gazing into the building where the preliminaries are being held. He did not understand why she had to stand on his shoulder. When asked she just replied with him being right there. So here he was, leaning against a wall with his daughter on his shoulder. He was not even going to question where Bulma went. She just disappeared when he stopped paying attention.
"As expected"Sarada finally spoke , her tail twitching behind her. "Kakarot, Krillin and Chichi are destroying anyone in their way. It's a good thing they are all placed in different devisions"
"Yes, as predicted" Bardock said casually, not at all bothered by the weigh on his shoulder.
Sarada eyed every fighter present. She didn't see master Roshi anywhere. Was he not taking part? Maybe he realized it be trouble if he had to go up against Kakarot. But then again he is stronger now, so why not compete ? She'll ask him later if she runs into him. She could sense his ki. He was around somewhere. Him and Coco. She shivered at the thought of what they could get up to. She was quick to dismiss the thought and continue to spy.
Kakarot had happened to glance her way and spotted her. He grinned brightly and waved discreetly. She returned the grin and wave. Chichi was soon to see her and she greeted her just as enthusiastically as her brother. When Krillin saw her he paled. Sarada sighed. She questioned why the boy was so afraid of her. She never did him anything. But then she realized that Kakarot must have told him about the training he went through and must have scared the boy. Either way he was scared of her. She had to admit she was a bit mean to him, but she couldn't help it. It was Krillin after all. The one person that actually had a logical brain. At least in the little friend group her younger brother gathered.
"I still think it would have been worth a laugh if you entered" Bardock said as he glanced up at his only daughter. She shrugged her shoulders, not looking away from her brother and his friends.
"Maybe next year"
She wondered if she would be seeing Yamcha again. It wouldn't be the same without him, even though she didn't like him . If he isn't there what will happen yo the classic crater scene? She sighed. A tragic loss. The crater scene shall be missed. She continued to watch her brother and friends easily climb the rankings. She had a feeling she would be seeing the man again. He's apart of the main cast so he would have to return one way or another.

She let out a sigh and hopped off her father's shoulder. She started to walk away, motioning for the man to follow. She had sensed multiple people heading her way and decided it was best they leave. She had seen enough. She just wanted to see the three fight a bit. They were all dressed in the signature orange gi, which Sarada found to be rather nice. They're a little team. She laughed a bit and stuffed her hands in her pocket.
"I need something to eat" she muttered.
"Same here" Bardock rested his arm on her head, leaning on her. "What does this place have? "
Sarada shrugged as she looked around. She caught many scents. Delicious, all of them. Which stand should they visit?
"How about sushi? " both asked at the same time. They looked at eachother and grinned.
"Sounds like a great idea"
The two made their way to the stand and stood amongst others craving the dish. Sarada took a quick look around and noticed that every girl in the area was eyeing her father with red faces. She blinked when she noted how love struck most of them seemed. She looked at her father, but he did not seem to notice. She looked away with a hidden smile. The man doesn't even know what he's doing to the women around him
One of them built up the courage to come talk to him. The look of disinterest was very present on Bardock's face buy the woman did not seem to notice. She batted her eye lashes at him and spoke in a very sultry voice. Sarada took a deep breath, trying to stop herself from saying something or laughing out loud. Her father was not amused.
The woman had glanced at her and asked Bardock who she was.
"She's my daughter" he said bluntly.
"Ah, you're married then? Where's your wife? "
"At the house" he said not even looking at the woman.
Sarada knew the woman didn't care about that. She could see it in her eyes. She raised an eyebrow. A woman who does not respect a man's wife does not respect him.
Sarada bought their sushi while her father just stood there and let the woman talk to him. He glanced at Sarada with an annoyed face. She was surprised he hadn't said anything to the woman.
"Welp, it was nice meeting you stranger" Sarada said brightly s she handed her father his food. "It's time for us to go "
"Hold on" she managed to say before the two could leave. "Would you like my number? "
Bardock continued to walk."I already have a woman. I have no interest in any other, especially one who does not respect my wife. So I would not like your number. Find someone else to drool over"

Sarada hummed as if nothing happen while she enjoyed her food. Welp. She knew her father would say something at some point and she knew it would be harsh.
"Totally crushed her spirit"
"Not my concern "
Another hum.
[Sarada]
Sarada almost coughed when she heard the voice of her system. It had been a while since she last heard from the familiar voice. She had almost forgotten the thing existed. She questioned why her system suddenly made it presence known.
[I must inform you that you have grabbed the attention of an angel and said angel is watching you]
Sarada froze when her system said that. She blinked and quickly caught up to her father. Whis was watching her? She had a feeling such a thing would happen but having it confirmed is something different completely. And another thing on her mind was the fact that her system knew. How does her system know that? Maybe it's just designed that way.
'For how long? '
[A few months. I had not informed you of this earlier because he was not too interested in you but recently he has been focusing on you a lot more.]
Well damn. Whis took an interest in her. She hoped it was for good reasons. She seriously did not wish to die anytime soon. Why has he taken an interest? Maybe it's because of who she is and how she came to be. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she possessed god ki. Maybe it was both. Either way he was interested and she hoped it was not for all the wrong reasons.
'Thank you for informing me of this'
[You're welcome]
'I'm curious. How do you know he's watching? '
She got no answer. She groaned realizing that her system would not tell her. It either could not or would not. She sighed.
'Fine be that way'
[I apologize]
Sarada dismissed the system. Her focus was brought to the present. The thought of Whis was in still in her head. There was no pushing something like that back, but at the moment she decided to focus on what she came to do. She was here to support her brother and friends. She'll do that and proceed to run multiple theories on her new discovery after that. She told herself that, but her mind was already racing.
"What's going on in that head of yours? "Bardock asked as he messed up her hair.
"Many, many things" Sarada sighed and closed her eye for a moment. "Many things"
"Good or bad? "
"It really depends"
"I see" Bardock continued to eye his daughter. "Need me to distract you? "
"How? "
"It's been a while since you got your ass handed to you by your father" Bardock smirked and earned a scoff.
"It's the other way around. You always get your ass kicked. " Sarada said proudly.
"Not always" Bardock defended. "Besides I've grown a lot stronger now. Give your old man a chance"
"I will, later"
"Suit yourself"
The two returned to their place by the wall. This time it was Bardock who placed his daughter on his shoulder and proceeded to lean against the wall. Sarada was quick to lacate her brother and raised an eyebrow in interest. So apparently Yamcha was there. She just didn't notice him. Huh. He was in an awkward conversation with Kakarot and the others. He seemed very nervous around the boy. He most definitely remembered what he had done to him. He must also fear him being mad about his disappearance.
"They made it" Sarada said as she jumped off her father's shoulder. "The official matches begin soon"
~~~~~~
"Hey guys! " Kakarot came running towards his sister and father. Sarada was quick to avoid his tackle and stood aside, casually waving at a smiling Chichi and nervous Krillin. "Did you see? "
"Yes " Sarada ruffled his hair. "It was easy enough to predict the outcome"
"I saw Yamcha. He's gotten stronger. I can't wait to fight him" Kakarot said, just full of his usual excitement.
"Oh I'm aware"
"The way he looked at Kakarot makes me think he has a bad experience with you guys" Krillin said cautiously.
"He tried to steal from us" Bulma said appearing near the group. She was enjoying the cotton candy she held on her hand.
Sarada didn't even bother questioning her disappearance.
"Yeah, so I fought him" Kakarot said with a smile that hid so much.
"And I locked him in a closet" Sarada added.
"We brought him to frypan mountain with us and he escaped. No one cared and no one wondered where he was" Bulma said. "I saw him. He apparently got over his fear of women because he was sweet talking a group of girls"
Sarada only shrugged. "Miracles happen"
Krillin looked between the three, questioning their sanity. They were basically telling him that they had kidnapped someone.
Just.. Wow.
"Why am I even here? Kakarot is gonna win anyway"
"You're here to challenge yourself. Learn and grow" Sarada said with a smile.
"And maybe grow a pair of balls" Bulma said.
"I think he already did. He started training in the gravity room"
"Did he pass ten? " Bardock asked?
"No? "
"Then his balls are too small"
Krillin-owned count: 13
"Why do you all treat me like this? "
"Because you let us" Chichi said bluntly.
