《Breaking Limits: A DBZ Fan-fic》Chapter 14

Sarada sighed in content as she sunk deeper into her bathtub. It was around eight in the morning and she was the first one awake. A bath was a must for her. Nice and warm to start the day.
"It's off to master Roshi today"
She sat in silence after that sentence left her. She decided not to think too much about the future. She'll just go along with whatever is thrown at her. All she had to do was survive, which should not be too hard as of yet.
Her tail twitched around in the air. She stared. Her tail was fully trained. It was no longer a weakness. It always bothered her that the Saiyans on earth all lost their tails. She then found out that the creator of this epic world removed them because he was lazy to draw them. Shame on you Toriyama. She didn't plan on getting rid of her tail. It's a source of power after all. And with it super saiyan four could be realized. She wondered if one was to go super saiyan with their tail intact would it be some sort of super saiyan four transformation? Or would it just he super saiyan plus the tail. Could the fourth form only be realized through going through with their ape transformation? That form is the one she knows very little of. Because it was in GT. And GT was disappointing. She couldn't study the form very well so she was left not really knowing. She did however agree that it was an amazing form. It just looked awesome. That was the first thought upon seeing the form. She was a teenager after all.
All in all the tail defines the saiyan race. It os who they are. Who she is. It is one of the things thag sets them off from humans. It makes them unique.
Her system had been quiet lately. Very quiet. Sometimes it or she would pipe in and give her information when needed, but it hasn't happened in a while. She didn't depend on her system. It couldn't be depended on. It is somewhat useless sometimes. It has its perks though. That fact remains. It keep her stats in check and helps her know what she was capable off. He innate talents and rare skills. Nothing had changed on her sheet since years ago. Most things were still blocked off. Only thing to be seen is her zenkai ability. Her ape transformation and her innate magic. There is like four or five slots blocked off. And every time she questions this she always gets the same answer.
She stopped fussing about it. When it happens it happens. Her powers will have to be revealed at some point. She just had to be patient.
She was very proud of her power level. She was jus 8000 away from future Vegeta. She felt very good about that. She knew for sure that she would surpass him when he arrived. Unless the butterfly effects decides to be a bastard and make him stronger. In that case she'll have to be stronger than that. 25000 was the new goal. It was possible. She planned on learning the spirit bomb and the famous Kaio-ken technique.

She had lots of plans for the future. She planned on making sure Gohan does not grow up the way he did. If Chichi had not been so strict with the kid he would've been introduced to martial arts since the day he could walk. If she and Kakarot trained him he would not be against it. He would learn to see it as something normal and actually build a liking for it like his father. As such he would be much stronger in the long run. There would be no need to worry over his education because he would be a part of the capsule corp family.
Chichi should have never stopped fighting. Her desire for Gohan to be a scholar was holding him back. It was holding Kakarot back. And look what happened. Gohan did become a scholar, losing his ability to go super in the process.
At least she taught Goten to fight. A job well done on that one.
After her bath Sarada dressed in her gi and made her way to her brother's room. Kakarot was already awake when she pushed the door open. He was training. Sarada wondered how long he had been at it.
"Kakarot, go get cleaned up"
He nodded and continued.
"Just a few more"
Sarada leaned against the side of the door to watch him. He was doing press ups again. One handed this time. His skin was glistening with sweat and his muscles were quivering. He's been at it for some time now.
He stopped after fifty more. He brought himself to his feet and did a couple of stretches before he started stripping.
"I'll go wake Bulma"
Apparently Bulma was up as well. Sarada found her sipping coffee in the kitchen.
"Morning"
"Good morning" Sarada was gathering ingredients for breakfast as she raised a curious eyebrow. "Since when do you get up early? "
Bulma shrugged as she finished her coffee. She really wasn't onto get up this early. For some reason she woke up and could not go back to sleep. It was frustrating. It was too early. She could sleep in for around three more hours. Nothing worked and she was bored with just staring at her ceiling. So she got up. Took a shower and came out to the kitchen. She wasn't an early bird. That was mostly Sarada and Kakarot. It was weird but there was nothing to do.
"Are we leaving anytime soon? "
"As soon as we fill ourselves on some breakfast"
While Sarada prepared breakfast Kakarot was in and out of the bathroom. He was dressed in a fresh set of armor. It consisted of a dark blue and green Battle Armor, dark blue combat pants, long red armbands with matching leg warmer. He stood in front of his bed, staring at the red strip of cloth in his backpack. His mother had given it to him. She had a sad smile on her face as she did. It was his father's. He never met him. He couldn't remember. He could however remember a face. Hair style similar to hid. Black eyes filled with pride. His father? That's all he remembers of him. Sarada had told him some stories about him. He was apparently really strong. Everyone knew him. He was born a lower class saiyan and climbed to the top. He achieved a power level that was not expected of him. He defied all expectations. Sarada said he was very proud of his family and actually loved them. He would spend time training her and Raditz or sitting in front of his incubator. He would sometimes help Gine around the kitchen even though the men sometimes teased him.

He must've been a really cool guy.
But he wasn't here anymore. He wouldn't be there to train him like he did Sarada and his older brother. He wouldn't be there to watch with pride as he grew up to be as strong as him one day.
Kakarot took the cloth. He held it in his hand. Feeling the fabric. It was strong, yet soft. Slowly he brought it up to his forehead and tied it around his head, just beneath his hair. He tied it securely and glanced at the mirror nearby.
It looked really good on him.
He smiled.
As he left his room he wondered about his brother. Sarada had told him he was still alive and well. She didn't show much care towards him despite them being related. He found that odd. Did they not get along? Raditz. That's his name. He's the oldest. Older than Sarada by six years. Was he stronger than her? No. She had told him so. Very proudly too. She had told him of all the times she won their battles. She also told them about some of the missions they went on together. Sometimes it was just the two. Other times their father would accompany. But mostly they went on misions with the prince. From what Kakarot gathered Sarada did not like the prince either. But despite the way she talked of their older brother she always had a fond look in her eyes. She missed him even though she didn't want to say it.
He'll meet him one day. Sarada said he's ok. One day he might come looking for them. Or they might find him. Either way they'll meet.
Sarada was already enjoying her food when Kakarot came into the kitchen. Upon seeing him Sarada almost chocked on the piece of meat in her mouth.
Kakarot looked exactly like their father. She had made him the green armor in memory of her father. She thought it would suit him. And it did. Perfectly. He even had a red bandana. Was that their father's? Had their mother given it to him? If she could only see him now. It would bring tears to her eyes.
"What is it? "Kakarot questioned after Sarada's eyes had been on him for a long time. Was there something on his face?
"Nothing" Sarada looked away and went back to eating. If only their father could see the miniature him right now. Her thoughts stayed on her father. She missed him. She missed sparring with him. She missed the way he used to slightly tilt his head as he watched her work on her projects. She missed the pride he held in his eyes whenever he looked at her.
Could she bring him back? Should she bring him back?
It's been ten years. Way too long. Shenron couldn't do that. But there's the question of whether her father is alive or not. There is the story of him being sent to the past or some other dimension. But that was not cannon. It was not in the manga and henceforth just a "what if". But what if that "what if" happened? What if her father really was sent to another dimension? The past? Is he alive or not? If he was maybe Shenron could bring him to earth. If not there might be no possible way to bring him back. Sarada was not accepting that. Anything is possible, even the impossible. The question is; how do you make the impossible possible? That is the important question. That is the one she needed to answer. One was or another.
She will find a way.
"Hey guys! There is a massive turtle out here! "
Bulma's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She blinked and stared at the door leading outside. Kakarot was already up and heading out, curious to see this massive turtle. Sarada followed.
"Hello"
Sarada smiled when she saw turtle in front of her. He was indeed very massive. Is he a turtle or a tortoise? She always confused the two. Why do the same species need two different names just because they differ in size?
"He talked" Kakarot said amazed and crouched in front of the animal. "Hi there I'm Kakarot. What's your name? "
"I'm Turtle"
Bulma deadpanned at the basic name. Is it even considered a name?
"You're a sea turtle. What are you doing all the way out here? " Bulma asked
"I'm lost"
"You must've been lost for a very long time because the sea is very far away " Sarada said. "Need anything? Some water? "
"Yes please. Salt water"
Sarada went and got the turtle some salted water as requested. She rested the bowl in front of him and watched as he gladly drank it up. That should take care of his thirst and need for the sea for a short while.
"Hey Sarada, aren't we heading towards the sea? " Bulma asked as she retrieved the scouter to check.
"Yup. Master Roshi lives on a small island in the middle of the sea"
"Why? "
"He's a hermit. It's what they do. They live alone. Away from civilization "
"If we're already heading in that direction, we can help Turtle back" Kakarot realized and smiled brightly as he gently picked up the giant turtle. Sarada helped him get Turtle on his back. The animal had let out a yelp of shock at the boy's strength.
"Sure we can help him back. I have a feeling he's related to the old man"

The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
