《Etudie Perpetuity》Chapter 300 - The End
Advertisement
Ahem.
Thank you for reading this story! No, this isn’t a snarky self-referential sign-off like the last chapter. This is well and truly the end. Really, more of an afterward.
This is PeacefulCatastrophe! You can also call me PeaceCat, since it’s less of a mouthful.
I started writing this story after about a month or two of planning, and although I always knew what the ending was going to be, I had absolutely no idea how tough (but rewarding) the journey was going to be when I first started writing a little less than a year ago!
Time sure flies, huh. I mostly wanted to try this out since the pandemic was here and lockdown was running me down, so thank you to everyone who was around for the journey! I am glad I was able to give you something to do during these difficult times. Whether you laughed or cried or merely filled out a tiny part of your day, thank you so much for spending a little time with my characters and story. I truly mean it when I say that it was an honor writing for you all this time!
(And if you are somebody reading this far into the future, way past the pandemic, thank you for joining us from the future! Tell me in the comments below if we have made it to Mars yet.)
Speaking of the future, my plans! I’ll be honest with you all, I don’t know. I was in a bit of a crossroads in my life at the time, so I was able to find the time to write every day, but I think not having the time to properly edit and rework chapters was kinda rough. There are definitely chapters that I would have reworked if I had had more time, and the overarching story could probably be better tuned, but I never minded it back when I was on the daily grind for chapters. Now that the story is at an end, I figured I should reflect back on it and see if it was worth it.

I think it was. I have always been a writer, ever since I was a kid, but I had been struggling with terrible writer’s block for the longest of times. Just getting in there and writing a thousand to two thousand words every day helped me get out of that rut and helped me develop the endurance and self-discipline necessary to take my writing to the next level.
But now that I have those, I think I should pace my writing a little better. I want to give myself enough time to edit things that don’t work, to plot out arcs that I hadn’t planned out before starting the story, and to make sure I can give the reader a great reading experience!
I will post an update to this series as a preview to the next story, whenever I am ready to start posting it. I know it will be a stand alone story, because I think I want this world to rest for a bit, but I know this new story will be even better than this one, because I have learned a lot from the experience of writing Etudie!
This does mean that I will be freezing my patreon payments, at least for the month of April. That should be enough time for people to figure out if they want to support the next story! (If you want to tip me for the story after finish it, you can just subscribe for a moment and then cancel your subscription immediately. That’ll let me know it was sent as a tip!)
That reminds me. I could not have gotten through all of this without my wonderful patrons! It wasn’t like I could stop my other work and focus on writing full time, but it was enough to bring me back to the computer to keep writing every day. I didn’t want to disappoint these wonderful people who were willing to support me!

Heroes of Midlaris
Heroes of Midlaris is on hiatus until I finish writing Arc 2, and will resume once Arc 2 has been completely written. There is no ETA for this. After a long, exhausting day at work, where he faced the usual harassment from some of his coworkers, Luke just wanted to return some books to the library, head home, and rest. Instead, he died on the way and became reincarnated into the world of Midlaris, a world of myth and magic. There, he was found and raised by seven elders, who each taught him their craft as he grew up. When he turned sixteen, he began to attend university in the nearby kingdom, beginning a tale of love and friendship, of creativity and growth, and of an ancient past that begins to return. The first several chapters covers his childhood, for those coming to read about him at university. Posting Schedule: Alternating between 2 days and 3 days (so two chapters in a 5-day period). Patrons can read up to 15 chapters early.

Zeroth Knight re: Dawn
Isekai, fantasy, with the core themes of Identity and Fate. Story contains a, mostly, lesbian cast. Updated twice a day. Evangeline Sayagawa makes the ultimate choice at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice: She decides to leave her world that she fought so hard to return to, and return to Arsea in hopes of saving everyone. Little was she aware of just how bad things had gotten. The world she was returning to was cast into chaos and on the precipice of being destroyed. She awakens in this new kind of Arsea, after having witness the end of a dear friend. The world now belonged to the monstrosities of old, the Beta, and their corrupted human warriors, the Eld. With her fake identity, that which defined her in this world, being stripped from her, she now has to navigate a darkness in which not even the women she loves recognize her. This is book 2 of the Evangeline Sayagawa "Zeroth Knight" story, with book 1 being found here. The first "chapter" posted here is a hyper-condensed version of volume/book 1, in case anyone needs a generalized refresher of events, or for those who wish to start with this book instead as it is faster paced and more action-packed than the first one. Suffice to say, but most of the details from book 1 are lost by doing this; however, enough of the more-important information is present to allow one to understand the general idea of what is going on. This book features a mostly lesbian cast and deals more so with fate and crises of identity more than anything else. However, there is much more action in this one than any of my other stories thus far and brings about the end of Evangeline Sayagawa's story arch... sort of. I have another story up, a short story drama with light yuri and supernatural themes: "Escape The KNIGHT" Share the story if you think it's good. And please rate some stars and leave reviews guys. It will help encourage other people to take a chance with the story and get to know this wonderful journey with us. Also, a friend has made a Discord for the "Zeroth Universe" if anyone wants to join and hang out to talk about the stories, theories, or just general fun chats with us! https://discord.gg/f3Bc4TR Follow me on Twitter @Ozefen0 to stay up to date on my stories and what have you.

The King's Queen
#7 in vampire #1 in queenThe world has gotten boring to him after living for many centuries, through many generations. He thought of it as a curse. His gift was anything but a gift, in his opinion. He loved killing people. He always has. He enjoyed seeing the life being drained out of them, quite literally. He always drank every last drop of their life essence, he didn't have mercy. Though he was the king there was something he could never have unlike others of his kind. A soulmate. He hadn't been turned or born from vampire parents. No, he was born a monster from human parents. He lived because he couldn't die, at least not physically. He had no reason to live, but many reasons to die and even though he tried many times by many methods, none of them suceeded. He staked himself, on multiple occasions. It felt like a needle piercing his skin. He hung himself. He didn't die, but he hung there, very much conscious. He went on the gillotine. It made his body dissapear and reappear in the same spot he was born in. He took his heart out. He grew one back. He bled out. His blood regenerated. He used silver stakes. They burned his flesh. He overdosed. It did nothing since drugs, alcohol and other dangerous things do absolutely nothing to him, except get him under the influence to a certain level. But none of them filled the emptiness in his heart. He just needed her. But all he got were unimportant girls he used and forgot about. He never felt anything for them. He couldn't. But then on that day while he was walking around a small town's forest, he felt the emptiness slowly being filled up a bit. He stood there in shock. He couldn't believe it. He almost cried of happiness, right then and there. He had her. He had a mate. His mate. His one and only mate. His Queen.
