Chapter 769: [I like fries (2)]
The battle escalates to insanity; acrobatic, rule-bending attacks, and equally impossible defenses.
Steel weapons and magic power burst out, exploding one after another and the Great Hall fills with the sounds of ringing steel and deafening explosions.
A series of incredibly fast blows, each one coming with blurred fury—
“Hah!”
“Dadadan♪”
The two of them charged forward like a shot once again, exchanging a slash.
The bright white trail of light left by Vergil’s long sword and the noble crimson left by Lilith’s mixed together right in the center, colliding. From who knows where they are now exchanging blows using swords that had materialized out of nowhere.
Vergil’s sword was a long sword, looking like Rebellion, with a hilt made of bones and skulls but was dyed in dark azure. Lilith was a pair of swords; one being black, and the other being red. The grips of both swords feature what appears to be metal wrapped in a helix, while the pommels are oblate spheres.
Even though she was dual-wielding both swords that can be classified as long swords, her speed and power didn’t decrease even a little.
The clash of iron that rang out was like an orchestra that performed a melody.
All expression vanished from Lilith’s face, merely swinging her swords as if she were a machine to just cut people down. Her specialty slash from the shoulder. A splendid reverse slash. A horizontal slice at the torso, and back, a vertical slash down.
She attacked relentlessly, sparing no breath.
Her pair of swords are hard to balance and control but its maneuverability was helpful for the number of attacks.
“How fast! And sharp!”
Vergil still had room to laugh as he parried the consecutive attacks.
From just now, he knew Lilith is a speed type. Able to quickly ascertain the situation and then use the most streamlined method to evade or defend, and then retaliate with no lag at all—
…I see, her skill isn’t bad at all.
As expected of the Ancient Great Lilith that was no less inferior than Lucifer himself…
“You make my blood boil, Lilith!”
Vergil laughed heartily like a retarded man as he exerted more power in his attacks.
“Well, I will make it boil even more until it exploded!”
Lilith snickered and her speed becomes even faster.
BOOOOM!!!
The two’s exchange created destruction wherever they go.
Their auras clashed creating sparks and ripples in the air.
This is truly… the battle of the peak!
… …
—OOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHWWWWWWWWWWWWW—!!!
As the battle was raging on in Asgard, one of the giants with a monstrous appearance roared in anger. It has two heads, an eye each of the head, and four pairs of horns. Each having a pair. On its neck was a yellow, like that of a lion and bony-like shoulder pads on its shoulder.

It was over fifty meters in height and body toned with rock-like muscles. Having two pairs of arms, each pair held a battle axe that was almost twenty meters in size.
It was just wearing an animal-like hide hanged on its waist but magic swords of the God Warriors and High Humans barely able to cut through its skin. It was like a War Machine no matter how you see it.
It was currently being besieged by many God Warriors and Allen’s Tamed Beast together.
Being annoyed by the enemies attacking him nonstop, the giant roared in madness and wildly swinging its two battleaxes, cutting everything on its path.
The battlefield quickly began to change.
“This monster’s too damn hard!!”
Qin roared in anger.
She was currently on her beast form, a beautiful three to four-meter tall white unicorn-like being with a ferocious and yet majestic at the same time, lion facial appearance.
She looked as if her body was covered with soft pale-bluish-white fur but if one has a closer look, they would surely realize that it is covered in scales rather than a coat. Its majestic white mane and hair stand on end, charging with static.
The air around her distorted and emitted a burning smell as if the air was being fired by the stray electricity it radiated.
“We need to find its weakness, or else, Asgard will be done for!”
Mireya replied with a similarly grim expression.
She was currently in her demi-beast state, with Wolverine-like claws protruding from her knuckles. Her limbs, abdomen, and cheeks were covered with snow-white fur and she even has a mane-like scarf around her neck.
She growled hatefully at the giant they were attacking.
Originally she has no abilities to create steel claws on her knuckles like a certain Wolvy, but when she received {Wolverine’s Power}, a Silver Crystal came from Earth, she was able to easily adapt his powers and she was even able to transform to his Demi-Beast form with much ease.
Right now, her entire skeleton was even harder than Adamantium that Wolverine possesses due to Allen tinkering about the said superpowers as to not endanger Mireya. Right now, the metal encasing her body was much stronger, harder, and even safer than the Adamantium.
Of course, it was not completely safe but Mireya’s Healing Factor can completely offset the leftover side effects.
“Icy Blast!!”
Mireya leaped into the air, avoiding the incoming attack of the twin-headed giant, and fired a ball of frost energy to the Giant’s arm.
The twin-headed giant’s arm was immediately frozen solid, causing the twin-headed giant to cry in pain. However, its rampage only becomes even stronger.

“Fatal Fury!!”
At this time, following Mireya’s attack, a figure jumped into the frozen arm and slashed out her claws, leaving ten crimson arcs of light in the air, as if the air itself was bleedingly cut by the attack. The Ice broke off and blood spurted from the ten cut wounds in the arms. However, it was still not enough to completely reach the bones.
“Grafilia!!”
A loud cry called out.
Wooosh.
A figure swooped down from the sky and hurriedly grabbed Grafilia’s shoulders before diving downwards. A massive hand sweeps down from Grafilia’s former position, causing an explosion and creating a loud an enormous carter below the moment it had hit down the ground.
“Thanks, Fiona,”
Grafilia said as she looked towards the person who had picked her up.
“No problem, just be careful and don’t recklessly attack. This Monster’s skin is too hard and speed is not even that much weaker compared to its power!”
“Lightning Sanctuary!!”
Crackle! Crackle!
The clouds turned dark and lightning bolts accompanied by thunderous roar rained down from the sky.
Rooooaaaarrr!!
The twin-headed giant who was showered by thick lightning bolts cried out, and its painful groan echoed in the entire Asgard. However, its thick skin was still impenetrable that even the Lightning bolts seemed to just tickle it.
Qin who was floating in the air smacks her lips in annoyance.
“Rooooaaaarrrr!!!”
The twin-headed giant roared deeply and slammed his two gigantic arms that were filled with muscles that looked like boulders towards Qin. But Qin immediately created an enormous lightning avatar and started a wrestling match with the twin-headed giant.
“We need to kill this monster as soon as possible, or else it would become even more troublesome!” Qin cried out with a darkened expression.
“Understood!”
“We are trying! But this damn monster’s too hard!”
“This is starting to become dangerous!”
“Asgard is being attacked as we speak!”
One after another, voices rang out as several people took their position around the rampaging giant and lightning Qilin avatar. Qin, Mireya, Fiona, Grafilia - then, an enormous almost forty-story building-sized spike of ice appeared at the top of the twin-headed giant.
BOOOM!!
It crushed, creating a giant cloud of mushroom dust. However, accompanied by a raging roar, the enormous boulder of ice was smashed into countless pieces. And the body of the twin-headed giant appeared, with barely visible injuries.
Seeing this, Mireya can’t help but gnashed her teeth in frustration. She looks around, trying to check the condition of other groups who were dealing with the same kind of monsters. Around Asgard, there were thirteen Twin-headed giant monsters and aside from them, other people were also dealing with them one by one.
Their master; Allen didn’t seem to have any problem as he could be seen already dealing with his third kill, two giant corpses beside him displayed his trophy. Even the War God Tyr has already killed one as well as the Princess of the Frost Giant’s, Princess Ilse too, the same with the War God Tyr had already also solved one.
The other Asgardian Elders were dealing with the rest.
It seems like, their beloved master; Allen was at the leading top.
Despite this, the situation was still a bit perilous due to the fact that it was not only these troublesome monsters are there.
There is still a large horde of Demons and Monsters that were attacking Asgard as they speak. All their major forces are dealing with these troublesome monsters that it is barely able to support the Asgard’s defense!
If this keeps up…
Mireya’s expression turned grim.
“We need one massive attack that can pierce through its skin and destroy its core or else it would just be going into a never-ending loop!”
The monster Twin-headed giant’s troublesome aspect is not its power or defense. In fact, its power is only comparable to that of a lesser god at most. However, the thing that makes this battle troublesome is its defense and troll-like healing factor.
As long as it’s not killed in one hit, it would just recover in an instant.
“Xinghong, use meteo—”
“Sis, Xinghong’s not here. They are in the Aryan!”
“—ah!”
Mireya’s lips curled into a wry smile.
If only Xinghong was here, its firepower would be enough to rival the twin-headed giants.
“It doesn’t matter!”
Grafilia cried out.
She stood in the air with her hair swaying in the wind.
She placed her two hands facing against each other in front of her chest, Whizz! A black orb coated by lightning sparks appeared in front of his palms.
… And the more she pulled her hands apart; it also slowly becomes bigger—expanding.

DISCLAIMER: The characters in this story are inspired by the background of the Warhammer 40,000 intellectual property that belongs to Games Workshop Ltd. This is fan fiction, and no challenge to their ownership rights is intended. Goge Vandire is a name written in to the annals of Imperial history in blood. Often literally. No single mortal has commanded authority on the scale at which he exercised it at his height. His name is as synonymous with unspeakable evil as that of the Warmaster, Horus himself. And yet he was just a man. Where did such a man come from? What drove him to the steps he took to secure power to himself and, once he had it, how did he come to misuse it so grievously? I have scoured the records - many of them once thought lost or placed under the unbreakable seal of the Inquisition - to uncover his forgotten story, piecing together his childhood, his apprenticeship, his rise to power and his descent into madness and death. It is not the story you might expect...
