Chapter 767: [No regrets!]
“Hel is already happy…Lucifer. She was a wonderful girl…too good for her own right. She didn’t want any of this. So don’t keep dragging her here just to justify your own actions. What do you mean by justifiable? Waging war, causing world destruction, inflicting pain, destroying other people’s happiness… all of it is for your own good, not for other people. Don’t use her name in vain and stain it, you’re making me puke!”
Lucifer’s face abruptly turned blank at Allen’s declaration.
A cold, cold light dwelled in pale-white eyes.
"There's no happiness in the deep abyss, Dante!"
"Perhaps so. But I'm trying to take her back. And I wouldn't stop doing so! But what about you? You have accepted her fate, and instead turn your anger into malice, and is now spreading sickness into the realms... is that what you should have been doing?"
"You wouldn't understand! This is for the sake of salvation- there's no stopping this war!"
"Salvation by destroying everything?!"
"Rebirth can only come after death! A phoenix can only be born through its ashes!"
"You're insane!"
Allen roared in anger. But Lucifer was still calm.
"This is Destiny, Dante! No one can run from it. And now it comes!"
"...and I'm going to break it! I don't believe in Destiny - Fate is what I made with my own hands!"
"You're truly a fool," Lucifer lamented. "Still, I don’t understand. Why do you care so much for those piles of trash? Is it because, in the end, you’re also a fool tied down by emotion?” Lucifer narrowed his cold eyes and continued.
“Ah, just like they say ‘One man's trash is another man's treasure’—those piles of trash you spoke of… they are my treasures. Treasures I could give my life for—”
“Sentimental idiocracy…”
“I guess I really don’t think I like you too much, Brother. I guess we have no choice but to fight, after all,……And you know what?” Allen continued with a smug expression, “If I were to choose, I’d take over the world myself rather than pick up after your leftovers!”
“……It appears that I’ll have to teach you a thing or two about arrogance. I’ll curb your confidence as well while I’m at it.”
“Well, good luck with that.” Allen grinned. “My limitless arrogance and my unbeatable invincibility are my forte, you see. It would be quite hard for you to do it,”

He made a battle stance while suspended in the air, with his characteristically bold smile on his face. The blade of Rebellion emitted a light that was more glaringly beautiful than usual as if it had sensed its owner’s strong will to fight.
In turn, Lucifer made his own stance as well and drew his own sword. Its blade swelled with an aura as crimson as blood.
“You can talk too much, but the outcome will still remain unchanged,”
“It doesn’t matter what the outcome will be. As long as I fight will all I’ve got, with no regrets, whatever it is, I will accept it.”
Allen faced his opponent while holding his sword in what looked like an easy-going manner.
Lucifer, on the other hand, held his sword straight upright before him as he stood at full attention. It was the stance and decorum of a knight about to challenge an opponent to single combat. He might be the Lord of Evil but his foundation and habit were showing off on his fighting stance.
Allen couldn’t have cared less about decorum. He simply observed his opponent in silence.
With quick steps, Lucifer slid his feet across the air, creating ripples of wind, and closed the distance between them. Then, he slowly brought his sword to his side.
The wind blew a cloud of dust between the two warriors. Lucifer took the initiative. He dashed forward and closed what little distance remained between them. Sonic boom occurred as he unleashed an attack with his full weight behind it. His sword transformed into a flash of red light that drew into Allen’s vitals.
Swoosh!
It was fast and even Allen’s {Phantom] that he often relies on close-combat was starting to become less effective against Lucifer’s whose reflexes and speed were to the level of impossibility.
Allen had never been so pressured by an enemy before. He had always thought his power has become something that not even ten people in the entire Thousand Worlds and Three Realm could contend. However, at this moment, he finally saw his limits…!
So this is the power of Ancient Class Demon King that had even almost forced the One True God out of his throne…!
Lucifer Morningstar!!
Allen took a deep breath.
A nostalgic feeling.
It was as if the atmosphere had changed, a single breath caused stinging pain in the body.
Allen was very used to this — It was the atmosphere that only battlefields had.

The next moment, Lucifer disappeared from in front of Allen once again.
“Try to keep up,” he muttered with a snicker.
“You call this speed?”
As someone who didn’t like showing weakness, Allen replied with a cold sneer. Then, swung his sword, blocking Lucifer’s slash from the right side.
“You challenge me?!” Lucifer scowled.
“You can't even understand your own power.”
Lucifer separated from him once and then disappeared just like before.
As a matter of fact, it was not like he disappeared. He is just moving too fast for normal people to see.
It’s a speed even Allen can see barely even with his eyes. When Lucifer emerged once again, Allen grits his teeth and repelled his attack, then jumping back to gain distance. His gaze roamed around, trying to find something that can help his current plight. However, aside from ornamental things, there is nothing. Because they had changed the battlefield during the fight, Asmodeus, Andrealphus, Lifilia, and even Lilith were not in this place.
Probably, still at the Throne Hall below this floor, fighting as well. So now, he was completely facing Lucifer alone.
“Gu —!”
As Allen was thinking of what to do, suddenly his body suddenly flew away.
Barely adjusting his posture in midair, after landing, he slid for quite a bit of distance.
Then he looked up.
“…”
High up in the air, Lucifer walked over.
With a distance of ten meters between the two of them, they confronted each other in the Olympian Hall Replica.
“—“
What was that attack just now?
Allen did not underestimate his enemy but instead raised his alertness, but he couldn’t believe that he still wasn’t able to react to it. Was it magic? Lucifer’s attack was completely silent. Allen had one possibility in his head.
“…Space magic?”
The magic attributes of a Demon did not only consist of fire, water, earth, and wind. These four elements are the most commonly seen magic. Others include manipulation of light and darkness, and even space and gravity magic. Although rarely a Demon would use Light Magic, as only Fallen Angels can mostly do it, Space and Gravity Magic was different.
Demons have a greater affinity to these two elements compared to others.
However, the skills that Lucifer had displayed are far too beyond what he had ever seen up until now.
“—“
Allen pushed off with both feet, swiftly moving forward. Under the effects of {God Speed}, he did not need to accelerate; his first speed was already his fastest speed. The distance between the two instantly disappeared, and he was about to enter Lucifer’s demon sword’s attack range.
At this moment —
“Gu—!”
Allen once again had been hit, this time from behind. The strong impact pushed out the air from his lungs; his feet flying in the air, causing Allen to lose his balance and fall forward.
However, Allen didn’t release Rebellion. Falling forward caused him to enter the attack range of the demon sword of Lucifer, so Allen endured the pain, and struggling swung the Rebellion in his hands. The giant blade flashed through the air, and he saw a slash that was going to cut Lucifer in half. But the Great Fallen Angel’s magic attack was a step faster and accurately hit Allen in the jaw.
His brain violently shook. When he was about to lose consciousness, Allen’s accelerated his body’s flow, forcibly reviving the nervous systems and regaining control of his own body.
“—it’s not over.”
Allen gnashed his teeth in anger.
“It’s not over yet, Lucifer!!!”
And his power burst.
… …
Lilith and Vergil.
The stage of the two's battle was a huge space within the lowermost area of the Demon Castle. It started with a high-speed charge from Lilith.
"-- I'm going."
An explosive acceleration instantly shortened the distance between the two.
"Oh... ... You're very direct."
Vergil smiled his expression casual and nonchalant.
“Can’t say I dislike such enthusiastic women,” he muttered and as just above Lilith—he unfolded a magic formation near a ceiling.
And at the same time, countless icicles rained down on the Ancient Demon of Lust. Towards the approaching magic attack,
"...... Hoa? Unfortunately, I fancy your brother more, Vergil. But you are not bad, either," Lilith grinned with a flirtatious smile, there wasn't any attempt to evade.
The falling ice hit simultaneously as hitting Lilith—burst apart dispersing into vapor.
"However, still, I really wonder if you are underestimating me, Vergil. Did you think such common element-based magic could hurt me?"

8 145Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
