Chapter 707: [Battle at Gula (2)]
Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack…
The sound of lightning once again rang out, and the bolts of lightning struck the attacking force’s bodies accurately.
Any warriors and mount belonging to the attacking force would be struck to death by the lightning, without exception. Scorching them into overcooked grill meats.
Allen was like a War God of Lightning descending on the battlefield as everywhere he goes, lightning crackled and then judgment-like lightning bolts crashed from the sky, along with a thunderous roar that seemed like the heavens are going mad from anger, and into the enemies surrounding him, they laid waste to utter destruction.
Lightning and Meteors raining down from the sky was like the scene of the end of the world!
Even the wave-like movement of his hands was so fast that they couldn’t be seen clearly, the fluttering of flame before his eyes brought splashes of blood everywhere and heart-tearing miserable screams. Beside his ears, the sound of Rebellion cutting through the armors and bladed weapons, broken limbs and torn flesh flew past, before his eyes.
Allen was already gotten bored with death and blood but he has no choice but to keep going.
The only thing he saw was the beam of flame emitted by the Rebellion, what a dull scene for a date- he bemused.
This was a hard-to-find moment together with Rebellion and yet,
Allen deliberately closed his eyes, increasing his speed to the maximum level, increasing his powers to the highest level, and increasing the speed of brandishing the sword to the extreme level…...
His unstoppable momentum was unparalleled and nothing could stand before him with life still in their hands.
Under this scene of carnage and apocalyptic scenery, the orderly and enormous demonic army was suddenly in a huge confusion, but Allen was like a blood-colored meteor, everyone who had died under his sword, the last moment of their lives they only saw a beam of flame--they simply didn’t have enough time to launch their attacks, even occasionally there were few people who laid their weapons across their bodies, their bodies and weapons were also being smashed into pieces under this shocking wave of strength.
Thousands of demonic warriors were being dispatched just because of only one person— before this event, many people simply believed that this displacement of force was like a joke, as they came around to observe the situation and ready to join the fun. Yet unexpectedly, the one they faced was not just a mere demon…… but a terrible monster ready to take their lives in an instant.
In the midst of their astonishment, they suffered from a surprise attack.
The troops of over a thousand demons suffered from a surprise attack made by one person.
Even the City of Gula had become a terrible Warfield in just a matter of seconds…!
With irresistible force Allen attacked, piercing through in an incomparably savage way, blood spraying everywhere causing them to be terrified, in addition to those miserable cry of despair before their deaths. Tides of demons approaching him from the front and back, whether he wanted to forge ahead, or intended to escape, it was simply no other way out.
And when he approached, that terrible speed and the energy that caused them to tremble with fear simply didn’t allow them enough time to launch their attacks, only to become a part of the bloody path under his feet.
… ...
As the battlefield raged on, standing above the observation tower was a familiar woman—holding onto the magical binoculars, within the large demon city, those enormous troops were being divided into halves by the bloody red line in the middle, that bloody figure that cut the bloody path into two separate halves was mopping the ground with bloodstains, as he quickly escaped. Then, that particular figure disappeared into the curtain of the night that had begun to fall.

“As expected…. he was…His Highness Dante…”
A woman grinned as she watched the scene of carnage that was happening.
If Allen was here, he would surely be able to immediately recognized this woman… as she was none other than, the woman he had met and had a moment of passion within the ship of Charon for one night—
Lucy Zagan.
“…He really was? You make it sound like you knew from the start,”
A voice replied behind her.
“Just a guess,” Lucy smiled, “After hearing about him, and taking into account his aura, the place he came from and the exceptional woman together with him, as well as incomprehensible logic, I had a sneaking suspicion about him. After entertaining that suspicion, I discovered many shocking coincidences.”
“… …”
“Before talking to him, I was less than 10% certain of my suspicion, but after knowing him, I was 90% certain that I was right. Now, after seeing this kind of power, I can’t find any reason to doubt that suspicion anymore… the one we have been waiting for has finally descended.”
Lucy Zagan broke into a smile, her beguiling, oyster-white teeth lit up the room.
It could jolt a person, no matter what gender or age they are, like an electric current when that megawatt smile gave you her full attention. Filed to perfection, her Venus-red fingernails ran through her gorgeous flaming-red hair. Spools of it plunged around her photogenic face and hid a swan’s neck, elegant and smooth.
“……”
The figure standing behind him slowly materializes. Then, it appeared, a man with short, blue hair, a goatee, and yellow eyes. He is also quite well-built in physique.
“So, is that why you’ve slept with him…?”
Those words caused some kind of reaction.
The temperature plummeted, and the figure covered by the shadows felt his body trembling.
“When did I give you the right to mind my own business…Rosel?”
“I was just curious, that’s all… why be so defensive~?” Rosel snickered.
“…quit minding other people’s lives and do you work, Rosel! Everything depends on His Highness Dante! We must have him back!” Lucy’s eyes narrowed. She then turned her attention back to the ongoing battle. Her expression turned gentle, “…this time, everything will be alright…”
Rosel shrugs and then turned around without giving a response- assimilating into the darkness and disappearing as if he was an illusion.
“…I’m pleased knowing that it is really you—this must be fate!”
Lucy smiled happily as she continued watching the battle from afar.
… …
As Allen continued his killing, all while avoiding the fatally destructive fireballs that shot at him like meteors from the sky, at this moment—
A scarlet chain flew from the ground to strike Allen who was moving from one side to another.
Allen reacted despite the surprise attack. The magic power running through the chain controlled the weapon like muscles making complex moves. Thus, it seemed a bit harder to figure out and counter. This attack was enough to send chills ran down one’s spine.
The rope brushed past his face and tore through his skin. Disregarding the injury, he swept his sword and blocked the snake-like chain with the Rebellion, and retreated a few steps.
“What a pleasant greeting,”
Allen said with a menacing grin.
“However, you are as cowardly as ever, Abaddon…!”
“…in a fight, there is no cowardly or bravery…it’s all about survival, your highness, Dante,”
The voice with words that dragged stopped Allen’s movement.
Allen sensed a presence at the time when he heard the voice. That person must have used the darkness to mask his presence and moved close to him under the cover of sand and dust as well as the bombardment from above.

Covered by a dark cloak that seemed to be a piece coming from the darkness itself, a skeleton-like demon appeared before Allen, holding a long chain while a large scythe on his other hand.
“…I guess you do have a point. However, it seems like you’re quite confident about your comrades that you showed up in front of me, looking confident and full of arrogance…”
“Hmph, acting tough won’t do you any good now, your highness…you’re already a mouse in a trap!”
“Oh…is that so,”
Allen smiled unmeant.
“…is it because of the big guy spewing out fireballs…?”
“…?!”
"───surprised? But there is no need to. Having an excellent hiding prowess while being able to track me down until here, while possessing the power to take down a God…the source of your confidence. There is only one monster that can perfectly fulfill the conditions to this degree. Don’t you think so, Abaddon!"
“… …”
“Cerberus!”
Allen grinned.
“To make the Guardian chase me up until here…it seems Mammon is getting desperate!”
“… …”
The tiny balls of fire in Abaddon’s eye sockets writhed wildly as he glared at Allen.
… …
Allen and Abaddon watched each other, their bodies still.
Over twenty steps separated them. With their powers, they could have closed that distance in an instant, but the two of them were still as statues.
One move would decide the outcome of the battle.
Allen planned it that way and Abaddon responded the same.
Abaddon was apprehensive from the pressure emitting from Allen. And thus, although Allen, the current Dante should be way inferior to the almost complete Vergil, for some unknown reason, Abaddon felt a pressure that was far different than what he had felt from Vergil or Mammon. Because of that, he was unable to make any reckless action.
The air seemed to have frozen between the two.
This feeling of pressure was essential to Abaddon, both to buy time and to scare the nonchalant white-haired youth before him. Though, the Demon Prince seemed to be unperturbed by it.
"All you people are so scared of me,"
Allen said with a faint smile, his eyes mocking and insulting.
"Most days, I take that as a compliment. But it ain't me you got to worry about now, Abaddon. Look around, there's not just one piece of me who you picked a fight with,"
The flames on Abaddon's eyes flickered.
At the corner of his vision, he could see Asmodeus, Amy and Andrealphus have begun their own slaughter and the screams and cries of many people rang out like the noises in a rock band concert.
"It's the entire boy band named; Fuck You!" Allen chuckled in amusement. "And you, just a man who thinks he looks good with a worn-out coat and gloomy malnourished face of oblivion, congratulations, you've managed to piss off every single one of them."
"That's inevitable," Abaddon replied coldly.
"Not a good plan, I dare say." Allen shook his head. "You think you've got it all covered, do you, Abaddon. You've got your army, you've got Mammon behind you...you think you are untouchable will all that. But you never expected, the show will be turned to us. I just hope you will enjoy the concert,"
The chains on Abaddon's hand made a clanking noise as he clenched his fists tightly. He made a snorting sound and glared at Allen with his flame-like eyes as if trying to burn him.
“Your Highness, Dante, the end of the rope is already here… and yet, why are you still trying to fight against fate? This is for the sake of the Demon World, for us! You, the last remaining fragment of Solomon… if you just embrace your fate and return things to the way it should be, wouldn’t everything be back to normal? Without all this senseless fights and bloodshed?” Abaddon said. "Everything return to what it was...and it will save a lot of lives!"
“Probably, you are right…”
Allen suddenly replied with a solemn expression.
“Then…”
“But… People who fight without a purpose will never understand those who have--" he raised his head and look at the dark sky that was covered with grim, red clouds. He smiled, but his smile was that of sadness and sorrow as he continued; “…the feeling of wanting to protect something…even if you make an entire world your enemy.”
Abaddon’s body stilled.
"......Yeah, you’re probably right," then, he replied and didn't say anything else.
Allen tossed away other thoughts to concentrate on the sword.
The two of them imagined the battle in the air that seemed to have frozen.
Once they moved, that was the time when the outcome would be decided in one split second.
In truth, Abaddon wasn't an easy opponent…even for the current Allen. He was not called as the Angel of Death for no reason.
Among the Fallen Angels, he was someone who cannot be taken lightly, even Azazel wouldn’t dare.
However, a fight to the death is evident.
The battle started in a blink of an eye.
When a meteor-like fireball exploded just between them, both of their figures blurred in an instant—
As if to cut through the stir of the demon force, Allen moved out.
Abaddon also moved, almost at the same time.
In terms of timing, this speed could make up for Abaddon’s miss. But......
When the two of them were close enough to feel each other's breath, they swung with their weapons.
Abaddon’s death scythe swung down as if wanting to reap his opponent's life. On the other hand, Allen’s Rebellion swung up. Sparks flashed as the two rushed past each other and exchanged their previous positions.
Allen stops just four to five-meter distance away from Abaddon, lowering his sword slowly. Blood streaked from the cut on his right cheek.
Looking at his expression, the Demon warriors kept completely still, whereas—suddenly, Abaddon groaned.
"Damn......"
Allen’s sword was faster than Abaddon’s ghastly scythe.
The upward slash of the sword had changed the path of Abaddon’s scythe, and the ghastly figure of the large scythe shattered the moment when the two weapons clashed.
Death Reaper—Soul Steal.
Abaddon had used this move when he fought Allen for the first time in a long time.
The shattered pieces of the scythe had scattered everywhere, and one-piece had brushed past Allen’s cheek.
Allen’s Rebellion had destroyed the Grim Reaper’s scythe to strike his opponent.
Abaddon had then toppled.
"Damn......"
He was still conscious.
The tiny fireballs in Abandon’s eye sockets danced erratically, growing dimmer by the minute.
It was one strike—one attack.
But it was not just mere exchange…!
Allen turned towards the demon warriors and grin—he kept the rest of the demon warriors at bay with his baleful aura.
However, not all were intimidated—
“Now!!!!”
An angry roar from the dying Grim Reaper.
Then, from the shadow of debris, several figures jumped out as if shooting.
Having directed his attention to Abaddon, Allen reacted just a bit late. He roughly grasped the shape of the town because of the mist and fog that came out from out nowhere covering it, but from the bombardment, its shape was changed and the shadow of crumbled bricks became a blind spot.
And it was not because the Cerberus was launching its aerial assault at random…
Everything was calculated to bring him to the location where the main force could fight.
"Demon Prince Dante, prepare yourself!"
Shouted several Knights of Hell that came lunging at him.
Each of them pierced Allen with the sharp weapons that they held in hands. The Snow white-haired Demon Prince fresh blood spilled at the same time from various places on his right arm and left leg.
"An Ambush?───Clever!!!"
A gust of wind came from within him, completely disregarding the wounds on his body.
The air shook violently like a tempest. This looked as if the raging demon prince flapped an invisible pair of wings from his back. The shadows beneath him wriggled like living beings and then attacked swinging like black whips and sent a building closer to him flying with just a touch.
Their bodies would be smashed with just one hit.
Dozen fallen angels and Demonic Warriors were blown away like littered garbage during a storm, while there were also those who managed to avoid the attack with fast movements and skills.
Looking at them, Allen smiled leisurely—his wounds rapidly closing up as the time was being reversed. Then, he turned towards the others.
Asmodeus, Andrealphus, and Amy’s fight with the Demonic Warriors could be described as a one-sided massacre.
Especially now that, it seems like the two clans of Andrealphus and Amy had joined the fun and started their slaughter as well.
"...it makes me remember the dance festival in my high school days… nostalgic,"
