Chapter 699: [What does it have to do with me?]
“If Zagan saw his descendant acting like a rabid dog in front of me, he would have cried in his grave and roll in shame!”
When Allen finished talking, he moved his hand and carried out another number of silver arcs. This time, nine brutal and violent strikes rushed forward causing them to dye in silver!
“How dare you!” said the three guards whose expression had drastically changed. Suddenly their auras and force emerged from their bodies. They were using all their strength to stop these nine strikes. A vortex spread throughout the atmosphere and made rumbling sounds. Everybody was staring at them. However, although all the people in the surrounding thought that the black-clothed youth was unfortunate because of the young woman's background behind her, they still can't help but thought that the young man was extremely powerful.
That young woman had provoked him without thinking about the consequences.
“…try stopping it, then!” snorted Allen with a savage grin. His attack was moving at full speed through the air. It looked nobody could resist such an attack.
“BOOM BOOM BOOOM…!”
The atmosphere was filled with an extremely loud rumbling noise as if there was an earthquake that had just been summoned forth. The young woman’s three guards were blown into the air and then heavily fell down onto the floor, twitching.
Everybody was astonished. Just like they thought, not only was that youth look extremely young but he was also extremely powerful.
The young woman was blankly staring at her three guards who were blown away like a kite with a broken string by the attack. Her evil expression had disappeared from her face. The other man and woman behind her immediately stepped forward, seemingly defending her, but their expressions were grave and fearful.
“You…….” said the young woman looking at Allen who was walking towards her. She wanted to talk but the words wouldn’t come out of her mouth.
“Answer my question…lady; you say that we are not qualified to express our opinion, well, what about you?” Allen was walking towards her. He didn’t like bully or threaten other people but he could not stand seeing other people get bullied…especially if it was his own people!
In his opinion, his people could bully others however they wanted. However, they could not be bullied... no matter who the other party is! Indeed, a bit selfish and arrogant. But who cares? It's better if his people was the one doing the bullying instead of them being bullied!
That is how Allen always does things!
In the past, in the present, and even still in the future!
Furthermore, Allen knew what kind of person that young woman was. In this Demon World, there’s no proper being nor straight people. Much less, arrogant demons like this woman. Surely, if you gave her an inch then she would take a mile. And besides, she would definitely bully other people even more. Could Allen tolerate the fact that Asmodeus had been humiliated by such a person?
Even if this woman is truthfully like an ant trying to hurt a mammoth?!
In front of him, no one should think of raising their hands on his people!
“Don’t you know who I am?”
The young woman was terrified by Allen’s demonic aura. She was slowly stepping back.
She hated herself for not having brought along stronger guards. Of course, she also wouldn’t have thought that anybody would surprisingly dare oppose her like Allen. She thought that Allen was probably a foreigner.

“Who you are? What does that have to do with me?” said Allen while smiling coldly and then added: “Only a piece of trash relies on their social status to bully and attack other people. What you don’t know though is that if you attempt to slap the wrong person, they might slap you back.”
“Slap me? That’s a joke. Nobody has ever dared to slap me.” said the young woman coldly.
“Is that so?” said Allen with a cold smile on the corner of his mouth and then added: “What an honor, I will become the first to slap you…and I think, not just slapping you, but also… the first to leave you alive but might as well die.!”
“You would dare to attack me?” said the young woman looking angrier and angrier. She continued: “If you touch me, you will die such a tragic death that you will not even need a grave for burial.”
“There are some things which cannot be said, otherwise one has to pay the price for it. You said that a moment ago, do you remember?” said Allen with the same ice-cold expression on his face. He then made another step and added: “Besides, there are some things which you cannot do without regard for other people. Now you will have to bear the consequences of your actions and be punished for your mistakes. You want me to slap my own face? Well, then I will break your own bones for you.”
“Would you dare?”
“Why wouldn’t I?” said Allen who had finally arrived in front of the young woman. At this moment, the two people who tried protecting him draw their swords and weapons and suddenly let out a cry and attack Allen. However, before they could take a step forward—
Booooooom!!!
The man’s body exploded. Blood, flesh, and bones spread through the room, while the woman was sent flying away, crashing onto many tables.
“Hiiii!!!!” The young woman fell on her butt and crashed down, shivering as she stared at Allen, amidst the shower of blood and flesh. Allen acted without care about what had happened—his hands were still in the pockets of his coat as if he had not moved his hands.
“…do don’ you d, dare c, come near m. me…!!” The young woman cried out in fear.
Allen smiled coldly and a pair of horns appeared at each side of his head, curved and pointing upward. His red pupils turning into two overlapping triangles that looked like the appearance of the star of David. This is his newly evolved [Setsurigan] after acquiring the Fragments of the Akashic Key, which enables him to tap into the knowledge hidden within the Akashic Library.
As Allen was about to teach the woman a lesson. However, at this moment,
“Stop.” said a sudden voice.
The crowd then looked at who had spoken. It was a lithe and graceful woman that had appeared a while ago. She seemed to be of the Nephilim race due to the single horn at the center of her forehead and a pair of black angelic wings on her back. She was on the second floor and was heading to the flight of stairs. She looked so graceful and elegant that it seemed impossible to criticize her.
Many people were looking at her. She was the owner of the place. Her name was Socratia. She looked like such a pure and innocent person, however, she was also stunningly beautiful. Her restaurant definitely had a well-deserved reputation.

That woman looked more mature than the arrogant young woman which made her even more beautiful and glamorous.
“It seems like this will stop now.” Many people were looking at the beautiful woman who was personally getting involved. The tensions had definitely been started because of that arrogant young woman. Nobody liked her but considering her social status, it was hard to oppose her.
At that moment, Allen turned around and looked at that woman. She was about twenty to thirty years of age in mortal equivalent. He thought that the woman was particularly attractive. But Allen’s expression didn’t change much. Even if that woman was very beautiful, his consorts were much more beautiful than her.
“Is there a problem?” asked Allen calmly yet sounding cold and indifferent.
Socratia looked at Allen. She looked angry. People who talked to her coldly and indifferently were rare. “You shouldn’t touch her.” said the woman in a soft and gentle tone which was hiding a certain authority.
Allen knew that that woman wouldn’t accept any other answer than a positive and agreeing one.
“Is it an order?” said Allen on the same cold and detached tone while frowning. When she heard Allen, Socratia was surprised. Immediately, she started smiling and said: “No, it’s not an order.”
“Just don’t make me lose face. How does that sound?”
“I understand,” said Allen while smiling indifferently. He then asked: “But do we know each other?”
Huh?” Socratia was looking at Allen with the same gentle smile on her face and said: “Well, this is the first time we meet, but……”
“Alright, we don’t know each other it seems.” Allen replied, interrupting Socratia and then said: “If we don’t know each other, why should I care about you losing face?” his words astonished everybody. That guy was so aggressive! How could he talk to Socratia that way?
Besides, she was so beautiful.
Obviously, Allen didn’t know what everyone was thinking and he then continued: “She wanted to kill me… so why can I not kill her? Does she only have the right to ask for someone’s life? Because of what? Because she was from a great family? Ain’t that convenient!” Allen muttered, his demonic aura seemed to be alive, wriggling around him.
Socratia was speechless.
Allen’s words resonated through the entire restaurant. Everybody was speechless. They were all thinking about what he had just said. Maybe that he was right. A moment before, they had thought that because Socratia had come out, Allen had to be quiet and respectful to her. However, at that moment, nobody thought that way anymore because everybody agreed with Allen.
“…if background are used that conveniently… should I use mine as well? I think my name is enough to terrify the entire land…hmm, that’s a great idea, it could be interesting~” Allen grinned. His lips arching into a mischievous smile as if he had just thought of a wonderful idea.
Socratia had been slapped by Allen but it was an invisible one. Allen’s words had slapped her in the face. She hadn’t respected him by coming out at the moment the woman made her move. She had even attempted to humiliate him.
But, will Allen actually take it lying down…?
If this was Celestial Realm or the Mortal World, he might…
But this was the Demon World.
In this world, if you display a slight bit of weakness, you would be devoured in one go!
Power is everything in this world!
“Even us Demons, we need to show respect if we want to continue living in dignity,” said Allen with a resplendent smile on his face. Suddenly, he landed a thunderous slap against the young woman’s cheek.
Under the crowd's amazement, he slowly lowered his hand and a resounding noise echoed within the silent hall.
This was a real slap with a shocking sound on impact.
… …
The entire restaurant was suddenly invaded by a heavy silence.
Everybody was staring at the woman’s cheek. Allen’s hand had left a big red mark on her cheek. One could even see each of his individual finger marks on her face. Nobody would have thought that Allen could actually be so decisive and cruel, and would actually slap such a beauty. He had slapped without the least bit of hesitation and with a good amount of force that it knocks out several teeth and blood seeped on her mouth.
He hadn’t only humiliated the young woman by doing this. He had also made the restaurant and its owner lose face.
The crowd was blankly staring at the woman from the great clan. She slowly raised her hand and then touched her cheek. She had the feeling that her cheek was on fire. She was a member of the Zagan family. One of the Great Clans, and member of the 72 Pillars of Hell, that rules the entire Demon World. Nobody had ever dared slap her and at that moment, Allen had slapped her. She had totally lost face.
She looked so furious that her face had turned grotesque.
“You shouldn’t have done that,” said Socratia breaking the heavy silence that had invaded the restaurant. She was still looking elegant and graceful. It seemed like she never lost her temper.
“…what do you mean? Isn’t it just a slap? She should be thankful that I didn’t take her life here and now,” Allen replied nonchalantly. He sounded just as calm as her but that was Allen’s temperament. He was actually boiling with fury inside.
Zagan might be an idiot follower but he was never the type to act like this. He was a wise man… he uses his brain and intellect and would never act so stupidly like this!
And yet, this descendant of his!
Allen didn’t care if they decided to side with Vergil side but what he couldn’t allow is that Zagan’s descendants would act stupidly like this!
“Even if she attacks you and humiliates you, you cannot fight back. Besides, it hadn’t even gone that far yet,” replied Socratia.
“Well, sorry for having disappointed you then,” Allen replied coldly and ironically. He thought that Socratia was a fake.
She looked graceful, elegant, pure and innocent on the outside but she was actually arrogant and unfair.
Allen didn’t like her at all.
“The problem is not about me being disappointed or not… it is actually close to what you said earlier, there are some things you cannot do unless you are ready to bear the responsibility for it and pay the price,” she muttered with a cold voice.
“You are wrong.” Allen shook his head and then added: “Not only are you wrong but you are also extremely stupid. In the eyes of people like you, you think ordinary people like me are worthless. You can humiliate, bully and attack us while we are not allowed to strike back. Even if we don’t do or say anything, the situation is always the same—this is what they call cliché… but you are mistaken, about me, about everything, in a number of ways! Killing someone is never new… and who said that this matter is that serious anyway?” Allen snorted and then, turned around and started walking back towards Asmodeus.
“Could it be that…? Do you really think that you will be able to leave without paying the price for what you have done?"
"... ..."
The consequences, unlike what you’re saying, will be serious. You don’t know who you just messed with!”
Socratia muttered coldly.

Path of the Ancients
When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest.
