Chapter 670: [Vongola Set]
It’s a locked chest. Allen shrugs his shoulder, shaking unwanted thoughts and placed his palm on the surface on the lock.
His right hand pressed on it.
Magic power passed through his arm and then enveloped the entire chest. The corner of his lips suddenly curled upwards; "It was indeed tampered with, but this insignificant trick poses no problem for me." Allen laughed as his right hand took in and send out even more magic power.
"Pa! Pa! Pa!"
Sounds of glass shattering transmitted from the large chest...
Suddenly, Clink~ the lock on the grey chest was removed. When Allen pulled his hand, a silver key could be seen on his hand. With item creation, it was easy to do these things. After breaking all the magic traps on the surface, he then inserted his magic power and then mold it to a key that completely fit in the lock and the proper key is created!
So simple…!
“This is…?!” However, upon seeing the items inside the box, Allen’s eyes widened in surprise. It was not one or two but generously 13 sets of items. Two Skill Books, seven familiar-looking Rings, a pair of gloves, a pair of contact lenses, a pair of headphones, and lastly…a small box dyed with orange color.
[Dying Will Flames]— A high-density form of energy that is refined from one's own life-force instead of traditional sources such as magic power or Qi. It resonates with the user’s emotions and has been regarded as a type of battle aura. Flame Type: Sky Flame.
[Vongola Hyper Intuition]—The inherited blood trait passed down through the generations of Vongola Bosses. It determines the eligibility of a person in order to be able to succeed the Vongola and was described as a power that could see through all.
[Vongola Decimo Set 1: Sky Vongola Ring]—The Ring signifying of being the Boss of the [Vogola Famiglia]. Has the ability to utilize the Dying Will Flames. It can evolve by itself after meeting necessary requirements.
[Vongola Decimo Set 2: Guardian Rings]—Worn as a proof that one is a True Guardian of the [Vongola Famiglia]. Has the ability to utilize the Dying Will Flames. It can evolve by itself. Set of rings: [Cloud Ring], [Sun Ring], [Rain Ring], [Mist Ring], [Storm Ring], [Lightning Ring]
[Vongola Decimo Set 3: X-Gloves]—A pair of special combat gloves that are made from a special material that can use along with the Dying Will Flames and the Vongola Ring. It can evolve by itself.
[Vongola Decimo Set 4: Decimo’s Contact Lenses]—Invoked by the activation word [Operation X]. These special lenses can create an interface to help the user aim at a target, as well as to help him find the right balance between the Soft and Hard Flames. It can evolve by itself.
[Vongola Decimo Set 5: Decimo’s X-Headphones]—Can be used along with the other set. Able to connect to the Decimo’s Contact Lenses and voices the amount of Fiamma Volts the user utilized. It can evolve by itself.
[Vongola Decimo Set 6: Leone di Cieli Version Vongola]—Decimo’s Vongola Box Weapon. House a young lion with a mane made of Sky Flames. Reflects the User’s personality and character. It can evolve by itself.
Seeing these items, Allen’s shock and surprise reached and almost breaking through the roof. So that’s why he had found the emblem engraved on the chest familiar—it’s the fictional Vongola Famiglia Emblem, in the Hitman Reborn Universe. And most of all, it was not one or two items from that universe but all of the protagonists set items…!
Well, although he can understand the reason why it was all gathered in a set item together, since if only one was found, it would be more or less useless, even still who would place them here…?
In fact, just who had created this Dungeon…?
And why did he place these rings here…?
Does the one who left them behind want someone to find it and continue the legacy of the [Vongola] and become its successor?
Allen wondered playfully.
However, he wasn’t someone who would refuse a precious gift like this and he hurriedly pick them all up.
This is truly a great find!
Allen happily used the Skillbooks and worn the ring as well as Headphones. His childish feelings going rampant within him. He suddenly felt that being a Mafia Boss doesn’t so bad at all! He had already created an [Akatsuki], why not create a [Vongola Famiglia] as well…? It wouldn’t be bad if the world is not so chaotic—just for fun. Allen mused as he checks the area, hoping for another chest. However, aside from the Vongola Set Box, there was nothing anymore. And so he could only continue on his way.
He then climbed down the stairs he had found at the end of the tunnel, leading probably to the 2nd floor of the layer.
However, for it to also have a second floor, this Dungeon is really weird…
In the second floor, there were many more monster bugs as well as the two different kinds of maggots. There was also a new species. A bug that flew very fast and looked a bit like a bee. It wasn’t very big, barely two meters, but on its butt was a very sharp stinger, looking like a long blade of a sharp sword. It was obvious that the thing was poisonous.
Probably, it’s not just ordinary poison but a kind of Flame Poison as well.
Something even nastier than ordinary poison.
Even someone like him definitely couldn’t afford to let it sting him. He might not die but the pain is still pain…!
However, unexpectedly he managed to harvest a good Fire Honey. A very hot yet sweet Honey from these monsters' colony. It also gives permanent random attribute increase as well as fire resistance increase, which makes it even more precious than magic items.
… …
Wooosh. Allen dodged the queen’s stinger, his imitation creation [Zangetsu] intersecting with her scythe-like arms. With the force of her dive backing her, he was knocked back countless meters before finally stopping.
Strong… Allen narrowed his eyes, startled about the strength of these Boss Monsters.
Judging from that exchange just now, it was even stronger than the Mummy Lord, albeit if the Mummy Lord wasn’t in the Desert.
Allen issued a berserk roar and rushed back to counterattack. His speed becoming blurry and relentlessly attacking the Queen Bee that was as big as five meters. However, the carapace covering it was as hard as any metal Allen had ever seen before. His attack was even barely having an effect on it. What a crazy defense!
Allen praised inwardly. However, at this moment, he hurriedly somersaulted in the air as a stinger from the King Bee also strikes at him from his former position. Stomping the air, his body shot toward the wall, avoiding the Wind Needles shot at him. Kicking the wall, he changed his trajectory and shot himself once again towards the King Bee.
The king raised his scythes, blocking his attacks. His two eyes flashed red, then tens of wind blades shot out like a mad gale. Allen was hit by many of them, but with his defense and physical body, it barely itched! [Ethereal Slash]! The black sword swept passed, the blade turned into a blurry image, like an illusion. However, before the King could understand what was happening, one of its scythes was severed and he was sent flying off.

Cryaaaaaaaaaahhh!!! The Queen Bee rushed at Allen in madness. However, his body had already disappeared. Allen then appeared just before the King Bee that was struggling to get up. Allen immediately invoked his [Weapon Creation] ability, and in an instant, hundreds of swords and spears appeared above where the King Bee was.
The King Bee felt his body stiffened in shock and horror. But before it could do anything to avoid, the weapons flying in the air started to rain down upon him.
The King was crucified by a dozen weapons!
The queen, seeing the king’s miserable condition, issued a tragic screech. Like a gale, she rushed towards the king. Although Allen was somewhat moved about the Queen's action, but he was still moving towards her. She was an enemy. Letting compassion overwhelm you, is a very foolish act within the battlefield!
No matter where the world is always cruel.
One has to either kill or be killed.
Sorry…
Even if you are monsters with heart, an enemy will always be...an enemy...!
With a cold heart, Allen leaped up and intercepted her, brandishing his sword. He damaged the queen’s wings, making her fall to the ground. Allen landed confidently, bug blood dripping down his sword. He reversed his grip on his sword and once again charged over.
It was really one disaster after another for this king-queen pair. If it was other people, they would have won no matter how stronger or how many their enemies were due to their excellent teamwork and power. But Allen was different. He was someone who can only be called—A True Monster.
Whether it was defense, offense or magic, he was far above the King and Queen pair Bee Monsters had ever seen in their entire lives.
Slash!!
With quick death as mercy, Allen instantly killed the two monsters simultaneously. This time’s battle had ended fairly quickly. It has not even yet half an hour since the fight started.
After looting them, he checks the area and found a treasure chest. However, it was smaller than the one he had found before and the inside was some fairly good skills but not something as unique and interesting as the [Vongola Set]...sadly...
Cleaning the area, he passed through the Insect nest and moved on.
After a while of walking through the hot tunnel, Allen found the next group of monsters—Unlike the Insects from before, this time was Undead; Zombies, Skeleton Warriors, Ghouls and etc…
“Interesting…” Holding his sword in his right hand, Allen began to walk through the zombie-infested tunnel without care.
Looking at the few wandering zombies, he simply swung his blade and 6-7 heads fell. His walking pace hadn’t been affected at all. Without any fear or danger, he walks through the dim tunnel. Interestingly enough, the appearance of these Undeads are like those of the Medieval Era, most were even similar to those soldiers of Greek and Roman, in the era of the Hero Achilles.
Looking at the tens of Zombies with armors and tattered weapons gathered on the way, Allen raised his right hand, in which suddenly a gun materializes. With one shot, a bullet pierced through the neck of one and into the throat of another. While slowly moving, he continued to fire.
With just seven bullets, he dealt with 15 to 20 zombies in an instant. Putting his gun away, Allen grinned savagely and rushed forward with his sword. The only attackable place was its throat and waist, so it wouldn’t be easy to deal with them all in close range. Baang! His leg sweeps the air and sent two rushing ghouls away, then taking advantage of the rotation, the [Zangetsu] from the bottom slashed upwards, cutting four to five heads. Then, with a stomp, Allen leaped into the air and a pistol appeared on his hand—Bang! Bang! Bang!
Then, skeleton soldiers appeared. They were bare bones, holding only a damaged sword. Allen could smash them to pieces with a single fist.
The undead monsters give off a generous amount of drop items and skills, and there were even three Treasure Chest he had found along the way, two consists of Overpower Skills and Items, making him satisfied. Then, finally, he was out of that dim corridor and had arrived at a clearing where he could see a broken temple-like place at a distance towering a hundred over meters in height and seemed to be touching the heavens.
He walked towards it and saw a broken stone pillar. Allen walked over and wiped off the thick layer of mud, revealing a delicate fire symbol design.
“This place is…?” Allen crunched his brows as he felt something strange beyond the temple. Something is here… Allen concluded with a grave expression. He was not scared but his mind was full of vigilance.
The power he was feeling was completely different from what this layer was giving off…!
Like something even more terrifying was staying within it.
But how is that possible…?
Why is my Danger Sense reacting…?
What kind of Boss is there supposed to be…?
An Undead type? A Fire Type?
Allen frowned but he still walked over. When he was about to reach the place where fallen tall pillars were scattered, his soul shook and even his mind seemed to have been shaken violently. Allen responded and jumped back in alarm, his hand on his hilt. He surveyed the surroundings but there was no one could be seen, not even a small creature.
What was that…? Allen was startled by that oppression. No, instead of calling it [Oppression] it should be, Divine Sense...! Someone or something just spread his/her Divine Sense in the area. However, what makes Allen dumbfounded was that he actually felt that aura a bit familiar…
Who...?
He tried to recall whom it was from but couldn’t think of anyone. Then, he concluded, he hadn’t met this person yet nor he had remembered it. Rather than remembering by mind, it should be from the deepest soul.
But who…? Allen relaxes his taut nerves and once again walked over. In any case, he would know it when he meet this person...
When he steps inside once again, there was nothing. It disappeared…? Allen’s eyes narrowed and started walking towards the entrance of the temple.
The area was extremely large. In the distance, he could vaguely make out what was probably rubble. Although it was covered in vegetation, he could still tell it wasn’t natural. He stops and looked at the moss-covered ruins and the nearby skeletons. It looked like the skeletons of various monsters and humanoids. Once he walked through it, due to there being too much rubble, he couldn’t see very far.
His body flickered and appears on top of a tall ruined pillar leaning on a building.
Now that he could see clearly, he saw that the ruins weren’t small. It spanned at least a couple kilometers. Allen could see a public square, but it was also reduced to rubble. There were puddles everywhere, and moss grew all over the place. Everywhere he looked was ruined buildings. Further in, Allen also saw a ruined building that was different from the others. It was in a Greek-style form, surprising Allen slightly.
Why Greek Style Architecture...?
This was the first building with such design that he had seen on this Dungeon up until now. And it was clearly much bigger and resembled a small palace.
It was covered by thick vegetation with purple and brilliant colored leaves and trees. Steam drifted out from it along with the smell of sulfur. For it to also have this kind of plants and trees living under this kind of temperature—Allen plucked one leaf and identified, giving him quite a surprise; [Fire Soul Leaf] –a leaf from a [Firesoul Tree], possessing a dense amount of fire energy. Consuming one leaf will increase one’s fire attributes as well as abilities strength.
Allen felt his heart throbbed. His lips curled upwards as his gaze surveyed the entire area.
[Fire Soul Tree] was not the only one as most of the things found growing in this place can be considered treasures as well in the outside world. Allen was pleasantly surprised at the same time, excited. He then started uprooting trees and plucking plants one after another and moved them into Solheim. Allen wasn’t the least bit shameful and started ‘cleaning’ the area neat and tidy.
There were even precious and rare ores and metals from broken pillars and things found littered on the ground. Allen picked them up like picking trash on the ground and throws them into the Summoning Grimoire.
There, many people (his Clones and Agathi Dorhuck) would process it and probably use it for many things. One can even be said that there was an incredible amount of Factories within Solheim and all workers were his Clones, even an Alchemist Guild-like workshop was created there led by Agathi Dorhuck.
This was created because of the Dawn Shop and the equipment and items that can be sent and be used in the mortal world or the Celestial Realm. Hence, right now, although Allen indeed possesses much wealth and items compared to anyone in the Thousand Worlds and Three Realms, Allen still feel it insufficient. Thus, the more materials and items he got, the better it would be...!
Allen would never leave even a tiny useful stone in his path...!
This was normally impossible as even if one managed to reach this place, the amount they would be able to carry would surely be limited. But Allen has a gracing world inside of him. Even if he plucked this area clean, it was just a drop of water into the ocean.
As he made his way through like a bulldozer, cleaning everything he passed through, he then saw that in a nearby swamp, behind a moss-covered wall, there was something green wriggling about. It was pretty big. He waved towards it to see if it was sentient and it actually moved towards him.
Allen’s eyes narrowed and Predator of Wisdom: Uriel's voice echoed within his mind; [Lavawalker- Harawara]— Classified as a magical creature, it's a half animal and half plant type being. It possesses extremely strong attack power and physical resistance. It’s classified as a dangerous creature but is pretty valuable as food. Most poisonous herbs and plants, when cooked with its plant body, can be eaten safely as it has an innate purifying effect to all plant life.
There’s also like this…?! Allen smiled wryly. At this moment, Allen found another group of creatures that seemed to have alerted by his presence and was already coming towards him.
They were several crimson liquid creatures had been alerted, and began to squeeze out. They didn’t appear to be normal slimes, because slimes were round and cute. These things made one’s hair stand on end, due to the fact that there was still some human and beast remain floating in their liquid-like bodies such as bones or skulls. He look at them and his expression somewhat distorted.
He had killed countless slime in his entire lifetime, but this thing looked too disgusting.
It looked like a pool of pus.
Without hesitation, he sent a three-meter tall fire spear, intending to end it immediately as to avoid hurting his eyes even more. However,
“These creatures are immune to fire…” Allen frowned as he watched the fire spear he conjured being swallowed by one of it as if it was a piece of chocolate sticks. Indeed, this is a Fire-type layer within this Dungeon, so monsters here should have the greatest affinity for Fire or Heat. If that's the case, then water would be extremely damaging for them. However, right now, he was not a [Leviathan] currently.
He stored his sword on the Summoning Grimoire and the book actually split apart, turning into a pair of pistols: [Ebony] and [Ivory].
“Well, whatever… it’s not like I need that power to deal with these things~”
Bang! Bang! Bang! a series of gunshots rang out from the area and dozens of bullets struck the slime-like thingy creatures. The latter did what it did to the fire spear Allen had shot a while ago and swallowed it but that was a very grave mistake.
When the bullets hit their bodies, they exploded and water came from within them, like an overflowed balloon.
Allen turned around before they exploded, his lips curled upwards.
He made a pose with his guns.
“Jackpot!”
BOOOOOOM!!!

You'll see a few similarities here between this story and some existing stories, at least initially. There's a lot of inspiration drawn from both MoL and Re:Zero, though in terms of pathos and darkness, this story leans more towards the latter. Be warned, it is something of a slow burn. The main character will grow and become powerful, but a theme of this story is that power comes slowly and often at great cost. Vincent gained power over plants, allowing him to turn seeds into all sorts of vegetation. He ventures out into this new world filled with phony cultivators to set the record straight. He can make one declaration with absolute certainty, “I am the only real cultivator!” - You will see an overpowered main character with a cheat ability. You will see "comedy". You will see a normal guy who gets teleported to another world. You will see classic wuxia elements like Qi cultivation and alchemy. You will see grammar from a native speaker. You won't see a ruthless MC who kills everybody that offends him. You won't see harem. It's essentially everything I like about light novels, web novels, and wuxia all shoved into one story. If you’d like an unholy mix of overpowered main character, wuxia, fantasy, and LitRPG - give The Only Real Cultivator a try. 6/1/2020 edit: Some bloke plagerized this book and put it on amazon, titling it "Ancient Cultivator." tbh I'm kinda flattered that I'm worth plagerizing. Still, don't buy the book. The whole thing's available here for free.
