Chapter 666: [Underground City (2)]
“Lightning Moon Arc!” Si Mulan shouted, and suddenly, her appearance looked like the lightning itself and using just her arm, she instantly chopped out Bladeqi which instantly turned into a diagram of a full moon made up of bright lightning, looking like plasma, and pressed down from above just like the Mount Tai. The layer upon layer of terrifying energy rushed penetrating through space and instantly stabbed into the diagram of the full moon.
The full moon suddenly exuded an endless amount of lightning qi and immediately flushed into the violent energy that looks like mountainous oppression, which was completely obliterated by the enormous might of bright lightning arcs.
This was no moon! It was actually Si Mulan’s frightening Lightning Bladeqi. She had managed to move one step further and integrated the creative concept along with the lightning energy according to her master’s guide--with her Bladeqi, and as far as her opponents were concerned, this attack was simply like a road roller like existence. Compared with Si Mulan’s former combat ability, the might of this attack was simply unimaginable and it was hard to determine how much stronger it had actually become.
After completely obliterating the golem’s energy, Si Mulan did not stop and took out her long blade and instantly chopped out a terrifying Bladeqi. The Bladeqi instantly rushed towards the great golem commander and it seemed as if it was tearing the air of the underground world and split the golem into two halves. The golem was split into two from left and right of its body.
“Hm?” Si Mulan felt a violent fluctuation from behind, and a pair of Ice Cold Wings spread out from her back.
Baaaang!
A mace struck her from behind, however, Si Mulan was already covered by the Ice Wings and managed to block the attack.
“Freezing Point!!” Si Mulan muttered softly and from the Ice Wings, the mace started to be corroded with ice energy. The Golem was about to retreat but it was too late, the Golem was frozen solid in an instant…!
“Never thought they can be so strong in terms of combat ability…!” Bu Fanyi who was also fighting at the side muttered with a wry smile. Golems are commonly known to be just brute force without any intelligence. But these Golems seemed to be different, they are moving and fighting like real humans…it’s hard to believe. “I only heard about Golems in rumors and legends but I guess…you cannot really trust rumors alone, huh…”
Two flashes of light targeted and shot two golems heads accurately, at the eyes’ parts. The Golems fell on their backs from the impact to their heads. When the next set of Golems drew near, Bu Fanyi lightly jumped. Then she attacks them in rapid succession, and the lethal encirclement was thrown into disarray.
Having endured Bu Fanyi and the others storm-like attacks using shields, large swords, and the bodies of their companions, several Golems finally drew near their group.
“I don’t think it’s like that. I heard about it from Master before that these kinds of Golems also existed…though, extremely uncommon…”
“Oh? Are these Golems different from normal?” Lan Ling ‘er descended in the air as several flying swords floated in front of her, forming into an array that insta-kill a Golem.
“Yeah. According to Master, these kinds of Golems are High Ranking Magical Golems. They are able to display this kind of combat ability because some memories and combat ability were installed upon them. Although they couldn’t act and think like human beings, even still they are still able to remember how to use weapons or how to fight with combat techniques…some extremely rare is even able to use magic…” Si Mulan patiently explained. Icicle spikes appeared from the ground, skewering most of the Golems around her. “It seems like within these magical Golems are Crystal Orbs, said to be their very core, covered with magical runes. It’s an ancient and extinct way of creating magical golems…”

“Then they are extremely precious and valuable…right?” Qin Han who had heard the girl’s conversation joined in.
“Yeah, their cores are comparable to high-level Heaven Grade Spirit Stones, in terms of the energy they possess.”
In this world, all things have spiritual power—the God Continent calls it; Origin. They can both be used and converted into magical power, Chakra or Spiritual Qi.
The things that form into Crystals called Spirit Stones, and unlike God Clans who used different power system, Cultivators can easily absorb the Spiritual Power in the stones to help them cultivate, and can recover one’s Spiritual Qi real fast. This is because, Cultivators opens their meridians in order to cultivate and temper their bodies to accommodate these Spiritual Qi, unlike the God Clans who uses Magic and Divine Power directly. And so, the absorption of this energy was much easier and safer compared to God Clans—
Spiritual Stones are separated into three categories; Mortal, Earth, and Heaven and each of this category are divided into four tiers; Low, Average and High. Categories are differentiated by colors, Mortal is Brown, Earth is Yellow, while Heaven Grade Spiritual Stones are dyed Blue. And the deeper and clearer the color, the higher their grades were. The Spiritual Stones can also combine to form bigger ones, the bigger the stones, the purer the energy. The smallest ones are called Low-Grade Spiritual Stones while the bigger is, of course, the High-Grade Spiritual Stones.
Whether it was Si Mulan, Lan Ling ‘er, Bu Fanyi or the other members of the group, no one had seen how big the biggest ones are…
They are extremely rare after all…even in this Celestial Realm…!
.. ...
After hearing Si Mulan’s words, the group’s fighting spirit seemed to have exploded and their attacks become even more ferocious. Heaven-Grade Spiritual Stones—what kind of treasures is that? Even in various Sects, only several could be found and it’s not something disciples like them could obtain. But it was now in front of them…
Their excitement bubbled and their auras burst out.
“OOOOoooooouuuuuuuhhhhhh—!!”
One of the Golem Commanders, the biggest and good looking ones among the group, roared at Si Mulan as it rushed towards her. Its voice resounded like a loud explosion, and a giant axe in its hands instantly sketched the outline of devilish arclight in the void which then released dark and horrifying rays of light towards the Lightning Bladeqi of Si Mulan.
“Booom!” Layer upon layer of shock waves swept across in all directions when the axe attack clashed maliciously against the blade attack of Si Mulan.
“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” Both of them felt a wave of horrifyingly massive strength from the clash of their attacks and withdrew several steps back, leaving deep footprints on the ground. On the side of Si Mulan, when a group of Golems saw that Si Mulan had been repulsed, they thought to take advantage of this opportunity and immediately advanced towards her while roaring strangely, as if to rip her to shreds.
Si Mulan waved the long blade and a huge Lightning Bladelight swept out which rushed towards several Golems and instantly chopped them into two halves, while some of them instantly turned into minced meat. “Aooooooooo!” When the Golem saw that several of his subordinates were instantly killed by Si Mulan, it’s as if it felt anger. The five-meter tall Golem suddenly roared out, seemingly in anger and frustration.
Si Mulan wasn’t the slightest scared of this and maliciously chopped out an unstoppable Bladelight. In this battle, it could be said that she was completely unleashing her true strength and enjoying the battle to her heart’s content. The teaching of her master and all of the skills taught to her by him, all were exhibited in all of their glories.

Each and every collision was setting off boundless shock waves in the air along with intermittent screams and cries.
The other people, whether it was the Cultivators or the Golems quickly withdrew far away from these two because the aftermath of their battle was really too terrifying.
Once again, the blade and the spear fiercely clashed.
“Boom!” Spiritual Qi was crazily raging within Si Mulan’s body. Lightning Body technique was also rapidly revolving inside her body and wrapping up a layer of golden light on her skin as arcs of lightning circled around her, attacking enemies with lights attacks and also defending incoming attacks. When looked from afar, Si Mulan looked just like a golden lightning god of war while the Lightning Qi had formed a shield and blocking off all the impacts from outside.
There was a faint figure of bluish pale coiling dragon totally entrenched on Si Mulan’s body, amidst the lightning sparks, a frost energy was emitting intense dragon qi—Ice Dragon Technique, and even with its relentless attacks, the Axe-wielding Golem was finding it very difficult to break through the protective barrier of the coiling dragon on the girl’s body.
She had already practiced ‘Ice Dragon Technique’, Allen’s original technique according to his understanding of his Ice-type powers, to the acme level and reached its perfection. Si Mulan was now able to integrate her Ice and Lightning perfectly in harmony while boosting each of their strengths.
This Ice Dragon is now like a living being as it would encircle around the user and attack when found a good opportunity.
You can even say it’s the very embodiment of Si Mulan’s Ice powers.
At a distant place, although Golems had temporarily spread around a little, Bu Fanyi and other disciples had joined forces and were sticking together to protect themselves and were watching the fierce battle going on between Si Mulan and the Golem Commander which seemed to have reached a very intense stage. There were astonished looks in their eyes and all of them were constantly exclaiming while witnessing this insane battle.
Si Mulan’s growth speed really makes one in awe—her power can now be easily compared to Bu Fanyi. Even the latter could only smile wryly as she was easily surpassed in no time…
Not only her potential is good, if you also have someone abnormal teaches you illogical techniques and skills that was completely out of the norm, even you might also become like her—walking the path of becoming a true monster!
Just as Bu Fanyi was about to say something, all of a sudden, her expression changed drastically; her leg stomped on the ground, causing it to crack, and as she used that as a pivot to throw her entire body sideways, leaping forth and hugging Lan Ling ‘er in her arms, her momentum knocking her on the ground.
*Peng* in the next split second, an arrow flew past their bodies, almost brushing them, before nailing deep onto the nearby wall. If Bu Fanyi had been just a little late in reacting, that arrow would have pierced right through Lan Ling’er.
“Enemy attack!” Bu Fanyi gave a loud shout as she held onto Lan Ling’er and vaulted away, hiding both of them behind a motionless Golem. Lan Ling’er also awoke to the situation, and both of them suddenly simultaneously thought of something.
The arrow just now is a magical item with considerable power and speed. In addition, that arrow, before it struck, it did not give out any sound, nor did it stir the air at all as it passed, otherwise with Lan Ling’er’s Intermediate Stage Ancestor Realm Cultivation, she could not have possibly missed it. Bu Fanyi had only been able to dodge it because of a sudden sense of danger in her heart, and she had reacted subconsciously to save her. This was not the instinct of a human, but the instinct of a wild animal – the product of her practice of integrating with her Phoenix Spirit.
“There are people other than the Golem here!” Lan Ling’er said rather rapidly. She then took out her scouter and immediately surveyed the surrounding, only to immediately saw several people hiding in the dark. “We’re being surrounded!” She immediately reported.
The group used their senses to scout around after hearing Kong Feiling's warning.
"You're right." Qin Han and Bu Fanyi immediately sense them as they were already Spirit Realm experts as well as several peak Ancestor Realms felt the same feeling.
And just like that, pairs of green eyes and wolf-like howling sounds appeared.
Ceng! Ceng! With a flash of lightning, more than a dozen wolf-like humanoids charged out from a corner, entering the fray.
"Watch out! Werebeasts!!" Lan Ling ‘er who could see the enemies clearly with scouter warned as the two sides clashed.
Werebeasts with the heads of a wolf, known as Wolfmen, were unaffected by the darkness, and their senses were not affected by the buildings and mud. On top of that, they were very agile and strong. They have ferocious and wild instincts in battle. And their combat ability is almost comparable to the Intermediate Stage Emperor Realm—and that is only for the average warriors.
Normal disciples would have been killed by the wolfmen before they could even manage to react. Luckily, most of their groups had already honed sharply by the DAWN and their cultivation realms might be inferior compared to these monsters but their combat abilities was above them. Skills, items, and weapons—all were above them and so they were able to counter without much trouble. With that all said, most of the members of the group were able to compose themselves and counter-attacked, quickly killing a few wolfmen that had rushed at them.
With terminal on hands, that seemed as if it was a vault of knowledge, holding many kinds of information, Lan Ling ‘er and Bu Fanyi knew a bit about the wolfmen, but the other disciples weren't as experienced.
However, even though Lan Ling ‘er and the others can easily deal with the Wolfmen, the problem is that there were still several Golems that had yet to be destroyed, causing the fight to become even more dangerous and exhausting. The Wolfmen are cunning creatures as they used their agile movements to create sneak attacks when the Cultivators were fighting with the Golems.
"Arghh!" A half-step Emperor Realm disciple's shoulder was ripped apart by a wolfman's claw, and he screamed out in pain. The wolfmen were extremely fast, their claws were sharp, and they were stronger in the dim environment. Ceng! Ceng! Ceng! After a few minutes of battle and the Wolfmen casualties became heavier, they quickly retreated into the complex underground city.
"These wolfmen are extremely cunning, and they specialize in teamwork and ambushing. They were only testing us just now," Lan Ling ‘er warned.
The other others immediately used their healing abilities and items obtained from the DAWN, and so as long as one was not dead, they were easily saved, avoiding any casualties for the group. Some were wounded rather gravely; enough to take their lives while the others had their limbs cut off.
Because of this event, after the fighting and annihilating the Ogre, Si Mulan immediately bought enough healing materials in the DAWN B-level trade platform. However, her points were short by a significant amount to buy those truly expensive and precious tonics and pills, personally made by the Grandmaster Alchemist Agatha Dorhuck, that can regenerate even lost limbs. And thus, Si Mulan can only contact her master for help.
It was actually against the rules, but because most wounded were from the DAWN slaves and Passing Cloud Sect Disciples, Allen relented and sent several pills and potions. Not like he was parsimonious about these kinds of things. The trading system is just for fun at the same time gathering of materials and information, it's not something he would really take seriously. He only made it up, to have some kind of restriction to the group members as well as having an organization-isque atmosphere.
All the things in the Trade Platform are, in fact only existed to strengthened every member and increase their chance of survival. Hence, they managed to break through the crisis without losing anyone…however, this also gives them a realization that despite their strength upgraded, the Underground City they found is still a very dangerous place. Because of their current power and strength, although they really didn’t let their guards down too much, their caution and vigilance are still weak…
The group rested for a while…pondering about the battle a while ago.
Some were cultivating while others were starting to pick up their loots.
Around a few minutes after the battle with the Golems ended, the howling of wolves and several hundred pairs of dark green eyes appeared once more, making everyone that saw them go cold. “Here they come…” Si Mulan muttered with a frown as she prepared herself, drawing her sword.
"Be careful! There are several hundred wolfmen this time." Lan Ling ‘er’s heart shook. Many of them were holding weapons, and some even had armor. Compared to before, this group of wolfmen was a group of elites. The main group had arrived.
“It doesn’t matter! We are defeated a while ago because of the Golems but now that they are destroyed… I’ll slaughter them all!” Qin Han said while gritting his teeth. He had almost lost several of his team members, his heart burning in hate and anger.
“That’s right! We want revenge!”
“These bastards will die!”
“I’ll kill them—I almost lost an arm due to them! This hate can never be erased!”
The group was full of fighting spirit as they readied their weapons. Violent Qi fluctuation emerged from their bodies as various beasts and spirits appeared from behind several of them. This group has quite a few of those who have condensed their spirits—though, not truly reaching Spirit Realm, they are still able to condense their spirit beasts.
Awoooo—!! Awoooo—!! Awoooo—! Awoooo—!!
The several hundred wolfmen surrounded the Si Mulan’s group.
Their ferocious appearance and murderous intention spread throughout the area.

Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).

That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
