Chapter 643: [Lecture]
Lama look at Allen’s back for a while before going back to the lake of boiling magma.
Her heart and mind were full of resolve. She needed to become even stronger, although not as strong as him, at the very least, enough to help him and support him. This is her resolution as well as determination!
Wait for me, my love… all the happiness and warmth you bestowed upon me, I would surely repay them all…even if I wasted all this life of mine…!
Allen waved his hand at Lama and started walking away after stationing three of his Clones and Xinghong to guard her.
Then, with Dakna and the Mummy Lord, Allen proceeded deeper into the Dungeon.
The deathly quiet magma world was void of any concept of time. However, Allen also knew that it had been around four to five days since he had entered the 14th layer. He had gained quite a lot these days. Not only had his strength been firmly stabilized at the 2nd Grade Mid God level, but he was even more familiar with the flame energy within his body. Moreover, following this period of adaptation, Allen also became more and more comfortable with this magma world…
Furthermore, not only his God System stabilized, even his Cultivation was steadily advancing and was now closer to break through the Saint Realm. If he successfully breakthrough, his body would surely become even stronger due to his Void Spider Buddha technique and the control of various elements would be far easier.
… …
Resting after an exhausting adventure was a must for Allen.
However, compared to sleeping or eating, Allen’s new hobby he acquired whenever he has free time was to return to the Training Ground to inspect the others training, especially his and the other king’s descendants and Inheritors. Sometimes, he would instruct them, give pointers or suggestions and teach them things he knows—such as Martial Arts, Magic Arts, Blacksmithing, Magic Arrays, and all kinds of knowledge.
He would even call the others to give some teaching about their professions such as Agathi Dorhuck, Allen’s personal beloved Alchemist.
Not only the ‘Earth’s Inheritors’ can benefit from them but also, the DAWN Treaders, Passing Cloud Sect Disciples, and even Qin Han’s group who were able to join the training ground due to Si Mulan’s request.
In the Trial Ground, time seemed to be halted.
There is neither night nor day as all one can see was Dawn and the planet-sized gears that are eternally rotating without end, never-changing. However, that is completely different within [Solheim].
A world that almost took every people’s breathe the first time they saw it. Around them was no longer filled with that monotonous color of Dawn. Instead, it was a lush green mountain filled their very eyes now.
Of course, using the word ‘Island’ or ‘World’ to describe the things in front of them was likely a little more suitable. The size of this island was extremely spacious. There was a faint-silver circular outline in the sky above the island they were in. It formed a bowl-like shaped barrier, wrapping the entire island in it.
All the people who had just entered [Solheim] studied the light barrier only for them to be stunned because the outside was actually empty space that caused one’s heart to feel cold…
Vast and seemingly endless empty space...
This ‘island’ was suspended within this empty space!
“What grandness…”
One can’t help but suck a cold breath upon witnessing such a magnificent spectacle.
Within the Tower of Babylon: The World of the Brave [Solheim] was a world suspended in an empty space and seemed to be the only island existing in this world. However, the ‘Island’ was as big as two to three times that of the whole Asia back in Earth. Not only that, but it was also not that different from the external world. There were ponds, rivers, lakes, and oceans; sun, moon, stars and time; flowers, birds, fish, and bugs; grass, forests, mountains, and rocks.
The world also transforms and expands as the owner grows stronger.
If this goes on, one has a misconception that the land here would become borderless and infinite.
Not just that, the world within [Solheim] was filled with dense spiritual and magical energy. One day of training in this world equaled to three days of training in the external world. It was truly a magical place...one that one can't help but had a desire of wanting to live within it, forever...!
The Sun had just rose, draping down soft and faint light that bathed the entire forest.
The wind blew softly as the leaves of the trees around them left the small branches and danced alongside the gentle wind.
Whether it was Kris Tian’s group, the DAWN Treaders, Passing Cloud Sect Disciples, and even Qin Han’s group was also present, standing tall. Their gazes were full of anticipation and excitement.
Without a doubt, they were waiting for Allen.
Just a while ago, Qin and Laura had told everyone about Allen’s arrival and plan to share his knowledge once again. Afterward, these people were so excited they hurriedly run towards here. They knew very well about Allen’s powerfulness and were well aware of the fact that he was a Godly Hero. They knew he was experienced in many aspects and professions.
Therefore, they were highly anticipating this and converged inside the [Forest of the Sleeping Fairy], Maria Makiling’s very own territory within the [Solheim]. Even though they had been waiting for an hour, they were not at all impatient.
They stood there, as if rooted, with their backs straight. Even the descendants who were raised wealthily were not complaining. There was the only anticipation on their faces. They were waiting for their savior, who stepped out to save them despite the danger, who was a heaven0defying monster!
After they waited for a while—as the Sun was suspending in the sky.
It was already noon.
Amongst a leafy forest, Allen suddenly descended gracefully like an immortal and landed up on top of an ancient tree. Wearing a black coat and purple loose casual T-Shirt and black pants, he sat on the branch of the Ancient Tree slowly and gracefully in a heavenly manner. The way he moved was rhythmic. His aura was profound and difficult to read.
“Master is here!”
Someone screamed out loud as everyone was staring at Allen.
Their gazes were heated and passionate.
"Good, everyone is here." Allen smiled faintly.
His black coat floated in the wind. He truly appeared just like an immortal, absolutely extraordinary. Even though he didn’t actually dressed that amazingly and in fact, exude a casual and lazy fashion, his aura alone would be attracting all the attention right now.
His temperament has outshined everyone else's. Even the backdrop of beautiful nature which was obviously Maria Makiling’s very own precious garden, full of beautiful flowers and colorful plants paled next to him. His temperament was also similar to an immortal's, pure, and out of the world. Allen’s lips curled up as he stared at the excited crowd. He nodded satisfyingly.
"Then, let's start,"
... ...
Every person present in the area was exuding powerful temperaments that were as heavy as the valleys.
After all, these people went through many tests and tribulations in the Despair Grieving Mountain or the Trial Grounds of Allen’s Domain—they had already experienced cruel slaughtering. All those who survived were top talents and powerhouses of every elite.
However, if one look at them from a bystander’s view, they would surely feel confused as within these powerful warriors, one person appeared utterly ordinary without any forms of energy seeping out of him. He appeared like an ordinary mortal who never has any special qualities of him. They would even wonder or be confused as to why all of them are staring at him from above, while he was leisurely sitting at the top of a tree.

Why… indeed…
Despite this, out of everyone here, this nonchalant youth was the most attention-grabbing.
This person's brows were like shooting stars, his visage extraordinarily handsome and a vague smile almost hung on his lips. There was absolutely no aura seeping out of him, yet there was something rhythmic about him that was hard to describe.
On top of that, his temperament was calm and simple, like a laid-back immortal. Therefore, when this person appeared, he overshadowed all of the people’s haloes and became the center of the universe, stealing everyone's attention.
The soft golden light draped down and reflected off the black coat Allen was wearing, making him look even more celestial. Between every blink floated a mysterious aura. The gentle morning sun shone upon his body, and his breathing was consistent and smooth.
The color sky, the spiritual forest, the graceful movement, the three aspects created a beautiful painting.
The scenery of this was extraordinary.
"I’m sorry for the wait; I had some matters to finish a while ago. Anyway, since everyone is here now, then we shall begin." Allen faintly smiled and everyone below him became silent. He then parted his lips to speak, "Actually, I’m not a very good teacher and I don’t think I can teach anything important, nor am I qualified to—although I can teach you combat techniques, magic arts, and many more—it’s not something that important that you wouldn’t be able to learn by yourselves, right now or in the near future. All of you, standing here was after all; chosen among chosens… you are all geniuses of your own generation.”
“However, for now…all I can tell you and teach you is my own experience on the journey I have made until I reach the stage where I am currently at. All the lessons I learned and integrated to become who I am today…” Allen surveyed the group who were listening quietly and noticed that their eyes were sparkling in interest. Then, he smiled, “First of all, everything has its bases and foundation and one must all know the limitations of things.
All techniques, skills, and abilities were basically categorized into three types which are offensive, defensive, and a combination of both. Auxiliary and Support-type abilities and techniques can be said to be under the defensive category while several are under the combination of both—those can be used as a defensive and offensive attack at the same time. To break them down, there are different forms of strength, speed, assassination, and so on for offensive styles while there are barrier and counterattack forms of defensive styles. However, there are more complicated types if we are to break down the combinations.”
"Although there are three types of categories, one must not forget, that every ability created, whether they directly Offensive, or Defensive skills, most of them were created to kill—not to protect people like some naïve notions. There might be some people who will argue with this, but one must remember, as to why these skills are created in the first place… That is because, people learn how to fight…and battle for survival, for those we love and cherished, for ourselves, and for many things—these fights became a part of our lives. And this gave everyone the notion to create these things, to fight and kill…that’s the very basic idea of all existing techniques and combat skills,”
“However, what I'm trying to say is that in our lives, training combat abilities and wanting to be strong isn't just about learning to kill…you must also learn the hearts and power of someone who couldn’t kill…”
Allen muttered with a faint smile. “And so, this time what I want to teach you or impart to all of you, are the bases and fundamentals of someone who do not want to kill—you don’t need to be burdened by this and follow it till the very end, just…all of you must always remembers this, giving you a sort of limitations of what you can do, or need to do from this very moment…”
Allen shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly, and ended with: “In short, it’s just like putting a limiter…but for the right occasions.”
A tall and strong warrior from the Passing Cloud Sect raised up his hand as Allen spoke.
"Yes, do you have any questions?" Allen turned towards him and asked softly.
"Young Lord, since you said that every skill was created to kill, then why can't we just learn to kill? Doesn't killing fulfill the purpose of fighting and battling, to save our lives and those people around us? What's the purpose of learning non-killing skills or those pacifistic principles?"
"That's a good question." Allen nodded and continued with that question. "In reality, no matter which weapon you use, whether its sword, saber, spear, or your fist, or you magical arts, everyone tends to learn to kill as it’s the fastest way to increase one's ability. To be bathed by blood, to be baptized by halo of life and death—But I must remind all of you, since you are all heaven’s favorites, a chosen among chosen and walking the path of carnage and battles for hegemony—the more killings you made and the number of lives you reap, the stronger a person's brutality aura becomes.”
“…?!!”
Allen saw their startled expression and grinned. “I don’t need to tell you specifically what this brutality aura means and what it can do. But I can tell you now, is that at some point, the accumulation of brutality aura will enter the person's mind and even into the person's soul, corrupting them, turning you into real monsters. Everything has its own karma, cause and effect…and all according to Heaven’s Will. Everything follows the will of nature—a wise man once says, ‘Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.’”
“…have you heard of this before? Every time you kill someone or steal a life, a part of your soul will also disappear along with it…if it was just the mind, the person will go crazy while if the aura corrupts one's soul, the person's soul form will be distorted and you will eventually turn into real monsters."
“…?!!!”
“You are all warriors, all of your hands have been tainted by blood long ago, who hasn’t?” Allen smiled wryly, “In this twisted world, it’s normal—weak will be devoured by the strong. And so, you can only choose to be the latter so that you are not the one to be devoured. However, being drunk in violence and possessing a killing heart is something you shouldn’t ever do. Like many heroes, you only need to kill those who you needed to kill and slaughter.”
What Allen said shocked everyone in the group. Even Kris Tian’s group was shocked to hear it. However, as for the Cultivators, especially the former Evil Cultivators but now turned into loyal subordinates of DAWN, they have a slight understanding of what Allen was hinting at. Because, there were already many cases of evil treading an Evil path because of this, turning into real monsters—most cases were known as Cultivation Deviation. The Demonic Transformation—
Those with heavy killing hearts will give birth to powerful Heart’s Demon and if not defeated, will be devoured by it…
Its common cases to many Cultivators—
A few people from Kris Tian’s group raised up their hands.
"Please speak," Allen pointed at a girl and said.
"Your Excellency, I've heard of people who have gone crazy from training. But do you have any proof of the brutality aura that enters the soul making a person's life form to change?"
All of the people who had raised their hands wanted to ask the same thing the girl just asked.
"It's one of the soul transformations which happen to people under an intense trigger. Demonification is one of them. The heavy killing aura and brutality their minds become will distort not only their thinking but also their soul form. This is commonly resulted in becoming an abomination, or a twisted mutation of souls. Though this wouldn’t normally occur before death and only when you died, will your soul to suffer the karma that you sowed, and you will become a monster—A Demon so to speak,"
Allen shrugs his shoulder, “That is why I advise all of you to cultivate good karma to offset the bad karma you have sowed. Just like how you plant seed after cutting a tree…”
“…and to never be devoured by violence and learn how to be humble and forgiving—though, I also don’t want you to become naïve fools in this twisted world—don’t desire meaningless killing. One must not think of killing someone unless it´s necessary. But if there is a reason to kill someone, then they should always be killed. It’s as easy as that…” Allen concluded.
"…now then, the next thing that I want you to remember in life is that… what you all have now, the strength you possess is all just the beginning of the journey you will have, the fundamental of life." Allen nonchalantly picked a fruit from the tree and started biting it leisurely as he continued; "Only with a strong foundation, can one march further on this treacherous road."
"You might think that only real Heaven's Favorites or those special individuals can reach the realm that you so desire—I’m not one to speak as I am proud of something not most people have, and that is talent…”

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.
