Chapter 637: [13th Layer (2)]
“…People who are swallowed in my sand…not even a bone will be left of them.” Allen softly said, “The Sand Waterfall Funeral sends people to the other side without even the slightest pain. So be honored,”
His sand began to wrap around the monsters bodies and the massive wall of sands also started to dive down in the packing and despaired monsters at the center. They let out screams and cries of despair when Allen sand enwrapped them. But no matter how much they begged, there only themselves to blame. Just what they appear and join in the ‘fun’? Did they think they had already lived their lives long enough…?
Too bad, there was no cure for regrets. Although Allen's magic power was only equivalent that of a Lesser Deity due to his own restriction but with his originally massive amount of magic power, it was much more than enough to let these monsters go on their way. Although, due to this large scale and the level of these monster, being in in control was quite hard but when it came to simply implode the sand and crushing someone, it didn’t require much effort.
In one instant, the bodies of these monsters had disappeared without so much as a bone left behind, buried in the Desert for eternity…
“Master, a wonderful display as ever,”
The Mummy Lord appeared behind Allen and spoke with a voice full of awe and worship. Allen didn’t respond and just smile faintly. He then started walking back towards the Oasis, when suddenly—
Allen felt something stirring up from beneath the sand. He stopped walking and stared at the sand but there was nothing there. He frowned and seemed confused. He then pointed at the direction of the sand and shouted, "Mummy Lord, did you see something move underneath the sand just now?"
The Mummy Lord tilted his head and invokes his power. The sands on his feet begin stirring, seemingly vibrating slowly—then, suddenly the pair of flames on the eyes socket of the Death Mask burned bigger. “Master!!” he cried out in a hurry.
The sand began to roll again and this time, the sand was running towards the direction of Allen and the Mummy Lord.
The Mummy Lord hadn’t noticed it because the-whatever-monster it was, it seems to be good at sneaking and if the Mummy lord didn’t care about it, he would have overlooked it. He would only think of it as something else. However, Allen was more sensitive and perceptive compared to the Mummy Lord due to his innate powers and his experiences—his sixth sense, especially to danger is stronger than any other being in the world.
Allen had already noticed it.
Baaaang!! Almost simultaneously, Allen and the Mummy Lord leaped into the sky. The Mummy Lord who preferred being in the sand was even forced into the air the moment the unknown monster arrived in their location.
RooooaaaarrrrRRR—!!
A strong sandstorm stirred up the sand and dust and the monster from beneath attempted to kill Allen and the Mummy Lord.
The Mummy Lord who was late to jumped in the air, due to him attempting to hide under the sands before realizing that it was the wrong move, was late by a few seconds compared to Allen and thus, could only use a foothold as he bounced on the tidal-wave like sand and retreated about 10 meters away, dodging the attack. He barely dodged the largemouth that had almost swallowed him whole.
Allen and the Mummy Lord could see the unknown object now. It was a gigantic creature that looked like a python or a worm+scorpion-like creature. It had brown scales on its body that was around 20 meters long. It was a lot taller than Sand Giants when it erected its body upright. It has a pair of limb-like sharp spears or horizontal fangs on each side of its jaws and a flat head that look like that of a snake.

There was merely a mouth on its head. It did not even have eyes!
Facing at the Mummy Lord’s direction, it opened its mouth slightly. It was visible to Allen the Mummy Lord and the rest of them that there were many sharp teeth that resembled barbs wriggling in its mouth.
Both of their facial expression changed when they saw the monster's features.
【Sand Worm King 2nd Grade Lv8 Elite Monster (Devourer of the Desert) 】
This monster was far stronger and powerful compared to all the monsters in this layer—Allen was startled. Probably, it was comparable to that of a Door Guardian of this 13th layer—so there is still a monster like this…?
For Allen it was unexpected!
Claang! A long sword materializes in Allen’s hand and slashed down on the monster’s head. However, only the sound of metals clashing rang out as even a shallow cut was absent—what a tough shell! Allen frowned as he immediately back away, avoiding the Sand Worm’s charge.
“Desert Spear!!”
On the ground, a large sand spear was shot by the Mummy Lord. Claang!! However, just like Allen’s attack, it didn’t even leave a scratch on its hard shell.
Boooom!! The Sand Worm moved and the sand beneath it was splashed at the Mummy Lord like a tsunami. Even Allen’s Sand Waterfall Imperial Funeral wasn’t this destructive, it was basically double the amount of his own attack. The Mummy Lord was swallowed by the sand but fortunately, it was a being made up of Sand in the first place, so it was like a fish returning to the sea. Allen wouldn’t worry about him.
Nevertheless, if the Mummy Lord was like a fish in the sea, the Sand Worm was like a massive whale within it—the moment it ended its attack, it dived down on the sand and disappeared. Baaang!! Moments after, the Mummy Lord shot out from the Desert sand. However, he wasn’t alone—the Sand Worm was on his tail, with gaping large maw.
"Shinra Tensei!!" Allen's voice echoed.
A powerful pushing force was generated from Alen's hand and the Sand Worm who was about to reach the Mummy Lord was blown away by it. It let out a piercing cry, like a banshee's cry it was stinging in the ears. Allen can't help but frown in pain as the cry invaded his ears then into his mind, raping his eardrums.
"Pipe down!!" Allen bellowed angrily as his mind aching from an intense headache.
Dozens, hundreds and thousands of swords and spears appeared above the Sand Worm, one after another. With a wave of his arm, the countless weapons started dropping like a shower rain onto the Sand Worm.
GyaaaaaaaaahhhhHhh--!!
A piercing cry once again echoed in the entire desert, even the ground seemed to be shaking and trembling.
Bright sparks appeared like fireworks around the large body of the Sand Worm. The Mummy Lord and even Allen felt their head breaking from the monster's cry. Now Allen could affirm, it's not just because of his superhuman hearing causing the pain in his head. The monster's cry has the ability similar to banshee that can affect the enemy's mind.
Amidst the continuing rain of swords and spears, as if they were an illusion, the Sand Worm completely disregard the rain of weapons and stood up. Glaring at Allen hatefully, the Sand Worm dove down in the sand and disappeared. Then, the desert started shaking violently and the sand rose upwards, like a tsunami wanting to swallow Allen and the Mummy Lord.
It was so tall that it had reached the height where Allen and the Mummy Lord was standing.

Allen snorted. For a time, his entire body seemed to light up with arcs of electricity as lightning burst out from his eyes.
The energy within him quickly rose.
The air surrounding him was stimulated by this energy, causing waves and ripples appearing, surging and rising, like water spraying everywhere. His body glowed brightly and, pale bluish-white snake-like electric sparks danced around his body. His silver hair stood erect dyed by the glowing light. Electric sparks coiled around his body and arms.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A black airflow stirred the skies, as thick black clouds began to gather from all directions. Lightning forked throughout the whirling clouds! Large bolts of lightning that were as thick as water buckets flashed.
Allen narrowed his eyes as he looked at the thunderclouds in the sky.
An inexplicable killing intent leaped out, wrapping around the Sand Worm.
Cracks! Crack! The skies above him were covered by thick rolling thunderclouds. These thunderclouds gathered together into a massive vortex with waves of golden thunder glittering everywhere. In the distant horizon, one could see a massive golden pillar of light shoot into the skies!
Chi chi chi! Endless bolts of thunder appeared in the skies like shower rain. Allen’s red draconic eyes dilated further into a slit and he reached out his hand, the lightning sparks immediately rushing to gather onto his hand, immediately forming into a large golden spear.
"…Eternal Damnation!!" He muttered with a very cold voice. Holding the spear of lightning, Allen with a vicious smile throws the lightning spear towards the ground.
His spear light cut through space, emitting a terrifying sharp whistling sound. All of the thunder was swept up in Allen’s spear strike, forming a massive golden vortex that spanned between the heavens and the earth.
It was like the world itself was about to break apart!
Lightning God’s Judgment—all heavens sweep apart into Eternal Damnation—!!
Allen roared out loud. The world shook, even space and the desert seemed to tremble in fear and despair as the golden lightning struck the sandy ground. As if the world turned silent, a massive crater, with a diameter of almost reaching a hundred kilometer appeared as if being pushed from above. The Lightning Spear pierced through the ground, revealing a large creature, the Sand Worm hiding deep in the sand.
BbbooOOOooommmmMMmmm—!!!
When it reaches the Sand Worm, that was the moment it exploded. The air was sucked in as if there was vortex sucking everything in its surrounding before, it exploded and the air sucked burst forth, creating an extremely strong downburst of wind.
GyaaaaaaAAAAaaaaahhhHHhhh—!!!
A piercing cry of pain resounded. However, this time Allen was already prepared. He cut off his sense of hearing and generated a barrier around him as he turned around, not wanting to see the explosion and isolating himself from everything even the strong wind couldn’t touch his clothes as he stood there just above the explosion.
"...That's what you call an art..." He grinned.
... ...
The entire Dungeon trembled.
Even those from the upper layer was startled by it and immediately dropped down. Monsters, players and every living being all drooped down in the ground due to the shaking and pressure.
“What’s happening?”
In the 7th layer, Liu Muxiao and the others stopped walking. Even the monsters they are fighting just now hurriedly retreated and run away the moment the ground shook. “..what was that shaking?”
“… …” Layla and the others frowned as well.
“This is the power of… thunder?”
“That is definitely the power of thunder and lightning…I can feel it because of Allen’s power gives off similar pressure and intimidation when he is using his Lightning powers. Even from so far I can sense its immense strength. Heavens, I wonder just who is fighting?”
“…in this layer?”
The 7th layer was still shaking as if an earthquake was happening. Crackle! Scattered thunderclouds appeared in the sky and a lightning bolt would strike down from time to time. The 7th layer was not the only one who was suffering such sudden change in weather as the 6th, 8th, 9th until the 15th layer, all have thunderclouds suddenly appearing out of nowhere as if they were also affected.
All of the players within these layers could feel the terrifying energy contained within these clouds.
This feeling caused their minds to shake with fear!
Although they didn’t know why or what was happening but they are feeling fear from deep within their hearts—an instinctual fear.
“It’s in the lower layers…” Xue Ling looks at the ground still shaking. Her heart throbbing due to some unknown emotions.
“Heavens! Just what sort of ability, what sort of fighting method is this? To even affect the entire Dungeon…wait, this aura…!!”
Suddenly, Liu Muxiao who was pondering realized something. A thought struck her down and then she turned her head and look at Alkrasha, who should be the one who was the strongest perception among them. And Alkrasha confirmed her thoughts.
Alkrasha nodded her head. “…I’m not certain cause it’s faint but I can indeed feel some familiar aura from the surrounding—it’s probably Allen who was fighting deep in the lower layers or someone who has the same level of Thunder-type powers with him. But I think, the former has the greatest possibility…”
There should be no one with that kind of monstrous power here in this Dungeon.
Then, was it really Allen…?
When did he…?
“But if it was really him, to be able to push him to use this kind of power, just what kind of monster did he encounter…?” Celty frowned.
There was no worry in her voice, only curiosity, and interest. After all, there was no need to worry for him, he would never be defeated—Celty believed that without the least bit of doubt. Not only her, but the entire group also believes in it—
“How deep do you think he was currently at…?”
“…I don’t know. But judging from this weakening aura, he should be a few layers deeper than here. Above 10 I believe…”
“That fast…? Then, below the 10th layer, there should be no monster that strong for us to worry… isn’t it?”
Alkrasha nodded her head. Layla then at the ground, a faint smile on her lips, “Anyway, how much Earth Beads did we found?”
“Probably around thirty to forty… while Wind beads and Water Beads are eleven and eight respectively.”
“…hmm, let’s continue,” Alkrasha said.
The others nodded their head and they went deeper in the forest with a leisurely mood.
